Décès de Miloslav / Miloslav is Dead

Quebec lost one of its most influential politician during the week-end. Miloslav, born on Day 282, died after several long weeks of inactivity. Founder and leader of the PNQ, he represented Quebec in Congress for several terms. His Independence project generated controversy among the Canadian government, as well as his rebellious personality. Miloslav spent the last few months of his life in Austria, working on another political reform.

Never knew him, but it's sad to hear of one so advanced in the game just giving up.

Sad to see him go, but there is no room for RL politics in this game it is divisive. Just look at e Europe, they are fighting RL battles in game, sa😛(
There is hardly any room in RL for this kind of politics either 😉

as one of the few Canadians who didnt publicly shit on Miloslav (maybe its cause i learned from Dominik who as you may remember also got shit on by a certain Augustus Baldwin for being nice to the PNQ) im actually sad to see him go. Love them or hate them, the PNQ was fun to have around in eCanada (before they got TOed that is). Too bad they were so misunderstood.
je lui ai donne des gifts et des Q1 food quelques fois mais la guerre m'a apauvri.
Miloslav may have voiced his displeasure at some of my comments, yet I still admired him as key citizen adding diversity to eCanada. Unfortunate news.
So, this guy was a seperatist?
sort of. Basically the PNQ was a weird idea for a party seeing as regional pride doesnt really mean much in erep. However i wouldnt go so far as to call them separatists like AB did. idk they just werent that cooperative but it was fun as hell 😃
I think the PNQ had a lot potential if they were willing to expand beyond a narrow vision of power for Quebec. In my discussions with Miloslav, though, he was quite reluctant to move in this direction. I don't know if you could call him a separatist, as he did understand game mechanics, but he did support the creation of a seperate Quebec government within Canada. At the time, way, way back before the war, I thought it might be interesting to go down the route of having regional governments and I wasn't alone there. I think Cesar Augustus wrote up a plan once... pretty shitty, but whatever. If we really do end up in a perpetual cold war and things get really boring, maybe I'll raise the idea again.
Voted.
Miloslav was certainly a separatist, both in game and in life, and there's nothing wrong with that. While many people play this game to level up or gain influence, he was more interested in seeing Quebec independence become a reality in game. While I never thought that admins would ever agree to change the world map without a real-life equivalent, I think the project added a little spice to Canada's political scene.
oh yes it certainly did. you can really sum up all of it in this one iconic picture:
