Cabinet report day 1975
eAus Department of Information
Cabinet Reports
It's time for another Cabinet report and as usual, getting reports from Ministers is like trying to bath a cat. Oh, and Irule likes penguins (who knew?).
Education
Report by Cendaan
The Department of Education seems to be a cursed one ~ in this iteration the nominated Minister has been MIA!
😨
...but never fear! Deputies Cendaan & ChesterHeart are here!
😁;
...err, ChesterHeart?
*tap tap tap*
♪♫All by myself....don't wanna be...♫♪
*pulls it together, man!*
I guess by default that makes me your new Minister of Education!
😁
Thanks to Irule777 for inviting me to his Cabinet. I hope to breathe some fresh air into my Department. Now to report!
The Department of Education has been creating & refreshing topics in the Help & Information section of Aus Forums in line with the releasing of articles through press. There is much work to be done in bringing this unfortunately neglected but very useful resource up to date. One of the more important but lengthy and tedious tasks is developing a gallery of recent images, especially with a lot of changes having occurred since the release of topics. I would like to thank Schofeild for working with me in starting this - we have a long way to go and I do appreciate your help!
I feel there is much that could be done for Education. I will enjoy the learning journey of my time in The Cabinet, drawing on my experience (or lack thereof lol) as a new player in developing this Department and its resources to provide up to date, accurate & accessible information for all players alike. This makes room for an exciting opportunity to employ some Deputies!
If you have a creative streak, are a wordsmith, enjoy graphic design or are simply interested in being my minion - shoot me a message!
Department of Immigration
Report by Arfman
It's been really quiet in the immigration front. We haven't had any citizenship application until the two that just came in.
AC had this to say:
Department of Finance
Report submitted by Venja
The budget has been submitted for consideration by the Senate. No issues have been raised so far.
The budget is based on tax income of $75,000. Allowance has been made for 11 MPP's. The projected deficit is $37,000.
Department of Defence
Report by Valentyme
I have appointed Binda33 as the Marshal for the ADF. Together we are looking at the logistics of the program and how we might be able to better support it in the future.
Currently we are looking at options to free some of our regions while aiding our allies in NaN. I am hopeful that we can coordinate with each other in order to fight our common enemies.
Congressional elections are around the corner so we will be trying to figure out the best possible strategy to retain regions for that.
ADF Marshal's Report
Report by Binda33
I've been appointed as Marshal just a few days ago and have been working out where we stand as a Unit.
I've been busy making sure that rosters are up to date, getting rid of inactives and promoting those from Tango that have completed their time there. There were some discrepancies with the forum membergroup versus the roster, and those are now sorted too.
I've been interviewing people for Officer positions. So far Wyvernjack has been assigned as D1&D2 Colonel and Oukestinos has been appointed as Lt-Col in Tango to help F0rse7i.
I have not been recruiting. I'd like to but ADF has been given no budget this term, and it's likely that it won't be for a few more terms. At this time we have enough funds in our orgs for a few more months before we run out. Before then we need to come up with a solution to save money and to give our Govt the best bang for its buck. If anyone has any ideas about this please contact me.
I don't want the ADF to be scrapped. I've always been a big supporter of the ADF, and I want to be able to keep it. That said, there may have to be some changes further down the road to be able to keep it.
If anyone has any ideas to improve the ADF, please message me. I believe that improving communication in all levels of the ADF is key to keeping it going.
What, you expected a penguin?

MoFA- Americas
I can't say that It has been a particularly busy period so far in my portfolio. I have contacted basically all American countries and I must say the MoFA's in the Americas have a great sense of humor this month, if only I was funny and/or witty as well... Oh well moving on, I have been trying to set up a meeting with Bolivia in regards to their interest in NaN, but so far I have not received a response.
They know how to keep man on edge. It hasn't been the most productive period in my MoFA career but I am hoping when those lovable Bolivars.. Bolivians get back to me we could see a future ally, either in NaN or not. I have also had contact with Colombia, the Canuckians and Peru. In terms of recruiting future allies, it will take time to amend past relations.
In summary, contact has been made.

boated 😉
Thanks for the info.
Are there any "new player guides"? or are they all outdated? I didn't see a link.
Look at the bottom at those coloured books that are clickable. It's our library! 🙂
Thanks - I didn't see a book for that. The national library books has good new player info.
You may also want to go to our forums. There is a Help and Info part that has lots of handy threads there for you. 🙂

This wording needs cleaning up:
"The budget is based on tax income of $75,000. Allowance has been made for 11 MPP's. The projected deficit is $37,000"
11 x MPPs = $110,000.
If the Budget is based on the tax income only, the MPP allowance puts it $35,000 in the red before any other line item. Obviously the deficit refers to the total CAH balance but the way it's worded in the first sentence has the potential to be misleading.
Otherwise good job.
Isn't that assuming that we don't have to pay for anything else apart from MPPs?
Yes, which formed part of my point. When times are tough administrations break down the Budget to the common denominator which is usually MPPs and Defence spending, although with 11 MPPs in the Budget to a 35k deficit logic suggests the government has a reserve of unspent accruals from previous terms to aide the prevention of a larger deficit or even a program call-in. In short, the figure the Minister quoted must have been relative to the Cash At Hand total - not the Budget alone.
Sorry but i just had to comment......
This month should be like watching midgets play rugby.
I think most of us guessed that you were into that kind of thing ; )
At least im not living life in denial ; )
Thanks for getting mine in Binda - I love the pic too! 😃
Good job!
