[UKRP]For Queen and Country

Day 1,395, 08:02 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Dishmcds
Gentlemen;

As the winner of the UKRP Primary, both in game via our Private Messaging Vote as well as our in forum vote, I've got a fairly good lead thus far, and should wake up tomorrow as the new Party President of the UKRP.

Well, not quite new, but same thing I suppose. With each term, comes new challenges. With each month, comes new obstacles to overcome, both as a party, and as a nation.

I would like to commend Thomas on his leadership over the last several months. Until he began experiencing problems with his computer, our memberbase has risen mightily, our elections month after month in Congress have been highly successful, and the UKRP has returned to being the voting bloc it once was. His accomplishments at the helm of this Party will truly make him one of our Greatest Party Presidents ever.

Next, I would like to take a minute to talk about the state of our party, the state of our country, and what we as a Party need to do to help move forward.

For Party, For Country

Without getting into semantics or rubbish about the last Presidential Elections, our country is in a grave state. In under two weeks since the latest elections, we've seen a turnover in Ministry, we've lost all of our foreign held regions, and by this time tomorrow, with all likelihood, we'll have had our country cut in half.

We might also lose London for the first time, although I personally wouldn't hit London until they have more than one crack at it, but that's just me. For the first time, we're in actual danger of being completely wiped, at a time which, if we are, would also remove our Congressional Elections.

Now, that being said, I don't blame Kevy entirely. Ultimately, as President, he'll be the one to take responsibility, and blame, for that if it happens, but I can't, nor won't put the entire fate of our country in one persons hands. I won't blame TUP or any other party including my own, for the constant bickering and political manuevering that we make and take part in which divides us on almost every issue.

I won't even blame the worst military leadership I've seen in the entire history of the country, which rather than combining and coordinating damage properly would rather instead focus on divisive attitudes that only drive people to not want to bother logging in.

Simply put, I blame us all, which is why I ran for Party President to begin with. We've all taken part in everything written above, which has diminished this country from the state we were in just two weeks ago in controlling nearly all of Ireland, to what we are today. It didn't just start, this has been going on for months, if not years. Instead of working to make our systems better, side by side, regardless of what ideals or crew we hang out with, we're losing.

And losing badly.

I actually commend Canada, although I question why they hadn't done this two months ago rather than some half-cocked training war with Portugal, but to each their own. Ireland has also been working on growing and uniting in these last few months, and their recents wipes have gotten them to work together more, which is always nice to have an enemy which can hold its own on the battlefield. While they might be genetically inferior to even Belgium, they hold about 15% of the country currently. That right there should be enough to make you mad. If it doesn't, then there's not much reason for you to still play.

From a UKRP perspective, starting today and moving forward, I don't care about the past. I don't care what you did last month, or what party you belonged to six months ago. I don't care what TUP and UKRP relations are, or were. I only care about what they will be, from our end. We're going to do everything we can, as a Party to ensure that our members, and anyone who asks for our help, have what they need to do as much damage as possible. We've still got our Military Unit, we've still got the UKRP Community for new players, we've still got food handouts to give anyone who asks.

We're going to ensure those who are elected to Congress work towards the betterment of this country. We're going to hold our own members as accountable as we hold members of other parties. Simply put, we're going to be better. Why?

Because we have to be. If we, as a country, don't all fall under this belief, then we will lose. If we can at least come to the understanding that while we might be different, and we might have a difference of opinion, that we're all here to help, which is what is important, then as a Country, we'll be that better off.

H(J)ugs and Kisses,
Just Another Guy
