[Statistics]All Countries Presidential Elections 2012.04

Day 1,600, 18:24 Published in Portugal Portugal by jotapelx

Hello,

Today we will analyze the last presidential elections around the eWorld. It is also a good opportunity to look to the demographics of the eRepublik. The numbers are not good for our community since there is a big drop of active population and total number of voters from the previous presidential elections. The total active population of eRepublik fell from 221,908 in 6th of March, to 214,329 in 6th of April, representing a 3% drop. But the numbers of voters even drop a bigger percentage: 9%, from 57,258 to 51,920.

There are of course exceptions to these results, Turkey, Chile and Albania had an incredible baby boom. The previous baby boom was in France, and the population fell 49%, which is an indicator that we are not able to hold much of that population. Serbia also lost 16% of their population

First we look into the Ranking of the countries which have a bigger number of voters, and then we will group the information by Alliances and by Big Alliances. The mapping of the countries to each Alliance was done in this article http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-statistics-alliances-swing-of-regions-week-13-1999155/1/20

After going through the rankings, we will look into the participation ratio in a graphical version to allow the comparison between the total population and the number of voters.

If we consider that the total number of voters is the actual active population of each country, we will see some charts with the representation of each Alliance in our pie charts.

The data of these statistics is from day 1599 at 17:30.

This month we see that the fight between Bulgaria and Turkey is also fought in the Elections Arena, with the 3rd and 4th spot for them. France lost much of their population but still remained in the same position in the ranking. The biggest fall in terms of ranking comes from Montenegro, losing 18 positions in the ranking. There is also a big drop of active population of 26%. The biggest climb up the ranking comes from Ireland, climbing 18 positions, although they still have a 5% drop in the Active Population.

Noteworthy is the mandate strength of the candidates from Finland with a participation Ratio of 38%, and the CP was elected with a 68% result. Slovakia and New Zealand also have a very strong mandate.

The overall tendency regarding the reduction of the active population is common to all Alliances, and due to the big baby-booms in Turkey, which affects the Pro-TEDEN, and from Chile, which affects the Neutral (It's still neutral due to the high number of active MPPs with both TEDEN and ONE countries).

And by Big Alliances we have:

The next charts give an idea of the Participation in this election and in the Congress elections against the total population of each Alliance

And by Big Alliances we have:

The next charts gives an idea of how the distribution of voters per Alliance

And by Big Alliances we have:

And that's all. Our next articles will look into the latest progress regarding the swing of regions concerning the week 14 and the evolution of the markets. There will be also a special issue regarding Taxes, which I still need to finalize.
