++ President: July 2009 Cabinet ++

My first official act as President is to form and announce a cabinet. This cabinet has been in formation, in private, for about a week. I opened up applications after I won the election, as I didn't feel it was my place to do it before, and have looked over them since that point.

Several departments will be hiring. I know the Department of State is going to look to have an expanded staff once again in my talks with the initial Secretary of State, Emerick, so you will want to look out for that in the coming days.

I also made a promise to the voters to put aside partisan politics when I picked my cabinet. I think I can unequivocally say that I have done that and this cabinet is the best group of minds the United States has to offer.

I lost my cabinet spreadsheet in a google docs mishap (it deleted on me 😕) so this is all from memory. I might update it as the day goes on.
