[MoFA] Recent Military World Events
Foreign Office
Some pretty important events have taken place in eRepublik within the last few days, and in order to keep the eUK population aware of the goings on in the world, this is an article detailing the most important international events and giving some background to them. The focus will be on the different, non-training wars taking place.
Focus: Greece and Turkey vs Republic of Macedonia and Bulgaria
This campaign opened during the Macedonian and Bulgarian attack on Argentina last month. Argentina was invading our Spanish allies at the time, and feeling they had a score to settle with Argentina who had previously attempted to airstrike Macedonia, the latter decided to hit Argentina in their regions. They were joined days later by Bulgaria. Argentina was pushed out of Spain in resistance wars while Bulgaria and Macedonia took their core regions, and eventually wiped them. Argentina’s allies from Syndicate however decided to intervene, with a Greek and Turkish attack launched on Bulgaria. Bulgaria switched attention from the war in South America to defend her home regions, and some hard battles followed, particularly in the campaign against Greece, but against Turkey steadily gained ground and wiped Turkey. Turning their attention on Greece, and being joined in the campaign by Macedonia, the Bulgarians retook initiative in the campaign and ultimately Greece joined Turkey in being wiped.
These four historic enemies have often been on the front lines of some of the most hotly contested battles in eRepublik, and, while the friction between them has varied in intensity over time, they have consistently been opponents in the game. To understand the relevance of the recent battles you must remember the previous wars fought in the region. No other country of comparable strength was wiped for as long and without real respite as the Republic of Macedonia was at the hands of their Greek foes, for at least a year, and so the change of fortunes in their battles is all the more startling, best illustrated by the world map.
Greece is wiped in their home regions
How long they intend to continue to occupy Greece and Turkey, or if they are capable of such a task is yet to be seen, but we are proud of our allies Bulgaria and Macedonia in their success in a well conducted campaign and a hard won victory. Congrulations!
Focus: Hungary and Portugal vs Spain
Since the allocation of resources won in the latest contest, Spain has been part occupied by Portugal and Hungary. Spain managed to gather a good selection of resources in the contest, and Hungary seized the opportunity to launch an airstrike on Spain, to take their weapons bonuses in La Rioja and their aircraft bonuses in Asturias. Portugal also invaded, as did the United States and Argentina, although of the three only Portugal maintains a presence in Spanish regions to this day.
Occupied Spain: darker green regions are occupied by Hungary, lighter green by Portugal
Spain and our allies fought hard, but it was clear that a four fronted assault was too much for them, and although the USA and Argentina are no longer occupying any Spanish regions Hungary seems intent on remaining. Diplomatic efforts to find a resolution have so far failed, and Hungary is currently resetting the determination in Spanish regions. The situation is unclear here but the United Kingdom is committed to providing whatever assistance we can to our allies.
Summary of the other important military events, excluding training wars
Croatia still struggles to regain a foothold in their home regions, with Serbia managing to defend all the uprisings attempted so far.
Chile faced a wipe by long time rival Peru, but the subsequent resistance wars are not being contested by Peru and this might mean there are no serious wars in South America for a while.

Hahahaha you describe history in the way you like it. Classic....
You ''forgot'' to say that FYROM's core regions were deleted for some days. Bulgaria's core regions were also deleted(except one if I remember correctly). FYROM's regions in India were also deleted except one which they managed to hold at the last round after a very hard battle(congrats for that)...
cry you a vardar ooh cry cry cry you a vardar
Oh yes if you say the truth, it means that you are crying...
F@ck logic...
cry cry cry no co no regions no vardar only solun cry cry. Rauf where r u man ? I need you here!
those are just tiny details that, even now that you mentioned them, dont really make a difference to the outcome..

🙂
Yes i agree, but he wrote 2 paragraphs with tiny details about your wins too(only about your wins!) 😃 😛
"No other country of comparable strength was wiped for as long and without real respite as the Republic of Macedonia was at the hands of their Greek foes, for at least a year, and so the change of fortunes in their battles is all the more startling, best illustrated by the world map."
this speaks for itself, and as such, it is enough 😉
What's the relation between this and what I said in my 1st post??
I just said that he "forgot" to write that you and BG were also deleted for a few days.. that's all..
because as I said, that is completely irrelevant to the outcome. I dont mean to insult or anything, so pls dont take it that way, but the way you write these stuff seems like you are butthurt because you are wiped at this moment.
It is the Author's choice what he writes.. but even now when we pointed out that we were deleted for 1 day as well.. so what? I mean.. what is the purpose of it? xD
its a very minimal thing..
Nice article , voted, o/

Greeks aren't on vacation? Cause they're not fighting back.
who wrote this?
Presumably Arrlo.
Thanks for the info from Spain, good mates. It feels great to know you guys got us in mind. A pity that Hungary is just playing the greedy bastard role right now. Best of lucks and thanks a bunch! Our time shall come!
