Congratulations Nogin
Congrats.
Thanks everyone, hopefully more applicants will apply next time (and take there turn at being told what button to push).
why would we need any more when you're it for life?
I feel you are not valuing my campaign and belittling me..
Really?? then you never read my comment the correct way, why is everything always a fight with you?? fight against this and that, you get more done with compromise than fighting.
a competition with just 2 applicants is a waste of time, there needs to be more than 2 for any vote.
I am not trying to fight, I just read it as "I hope more people apply next time because my opponent was hardly worthy of an election race."
Actually a race of 2 is pretty standard. Imagine if 4-5 candidates had to split the 23 votes. People would win by a margin of 1-2 votes. Hardly any legitimacy would be given to any one candidate.
A competition with more than 2 candidates and 23 votes could still have a massive majority for one candidate. Just because there are multiple options it doesn't automatically follow there will be only a difference of 1-2 between all candidates.
I prefer more than just 2 candidates/choices. Imagine what it is like in America, hmm I can vote Republican or Democrat, what a choice! In the UK it is Conservatives or Labour. In Ireland in the past it was Fianna Fail or Fine Gael At weddings it is often beef or salmon. Yes, I prefer more than 2 choices.
If they would win by such a large margin then what really would be the point of having more than 2?
well i could say why when you knew you were going to lose by so much did you bother running??
you need more than 2 candidates in anything to have choice, and 23 votes is pretty poor even for Ireland, it just shows how uninterested people are in taking part.
^ That is what I am talking about - respecting your opponent. I did not use slanderish tactics despite knowing that your candidacy was in clear violation of the Constitution because I am principled in democracy.
