On The Fence
Raven Anarcho
A large nation plays two sides in foreign allegiance as another makes the decision to part ways with an old friend. Alliances all around the eworld grow while three allies lash out against CoT.
ON THE FENCE
Brazil has chosen to stay on good terms with CoT, despite being denied entry only weeks ago. In the meantime, the Brazilian president stated in a recent interview that they will continue to look after South Africa, against Indonesia. At the same time, the Brazilians are ordered to fight for Indonesia's ally, Bulgaria. Brazil has barreled through South Africa, with attempts to take back the Eastern Cape from Indonesia, but only hours ago the region was won back through resistance by South Africa.
A NEW BEGINNING
Shortly after an MPP with Ukraine was rejected, Romania signed an alliance with Serbia. The ex-EDEN nation has always been on the opposite side of the battlefield as TWO, with Polish-Romanian tensions being one of the key events leading to the formation of ONE. Many aren't surprised and both Serbia and Romania are looking forward to working together in the future. Spain and Hungary were not happy with the news however.
INITIATIONS
Six nations have recently joined alliances in the eworld. The eUS was officially accepted into CoT, leaving Serbian officials upset with CoT HQ. Norway has officially joined Asgard, after their long trial membership. Lastly, less than a month after forming, NaN has gained four new members, in Pakistan, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia.
CHINA'S CHANCE
After fighting off both Poland and Spain, China has finally gained an opportunity to strike at an enemy, invading Mexico. Mexico has been rather confident in their plans for victory, yet Colombia, China and Portugal are all three leading the attack. The goal for China is to assist Colombia with elections in a few days. Portugal's invasion however is seen as a surprise by some, given their peaceful negotiations with Spain recently.
MY CURRENT MISSION
At the moment, I continue fighting the British, but will also heavily take part in China's attempt to help Colombia. I will continue running the ambassador program as well. Lastly, next term I may be pulling out of the MoFA team, running for congress instead.

Voted, excellent article o/
Liberty doesn't only depend on one side. You may have intelligence and courage, if the moral and political authority/influence is too great you can't struggle. In Plato's cavern, if there was a guard preventing the prisoners to turn the had around and see the rest of the cave and the exterior, there wouldn't be a Socrate.
Socrate had courage and intelligence, yet he was killed by his fellows in a democratic trial.
But great article! (I just have mixed feelings about the quote 😉 )
A well written and impartial assessment as usual. Keep up the good work.
The usual informative article we've come to expect.

Good article, voted!
Brazil has never officially applied in order to be officially rejected.
Official CoT paper:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2218795/1/20
"We did receive this formal application on February 17th (Day 1916)....it has been decided this application was not appropriate, and we will not process it further to its result....Brazil representatives have told me, once they learned of this irregular situation, that they prefer to stay neutral for now...So on both sides, we agreed this is not the time for Brazil to join CoT."
Voted coz clearly entire article is designed to praise The Word of Heavens.....
