Hello everyone!
We are awfully sorry for the long gap between our newspaper’s inauguration and the publishing of our first articles. But, we’re back and here to stay!
Today, the topic of interest is geopolitics – a lot of things of importance have happened in recent times. Thanks are due to Ashwamedh for helping to substantiate the facts in this article
The above image, as many of you know is a map of eIndia. Regions in pink belong to India, with the encircling blue and golden-yellow regions being owned by Croatia and China respectively.
Certainly, this doesn’t make for a pretty picture for any newbie, used to hearing claims of India becoming a superpower. But, this is another world, and things are actually looking up. When we started this paper, India didn’t own any region – the western coast was taken by Pakistan, with the rest being with Croatia.
Since then, Pakistan has been pushed back to a narrow strip of land in the north-west.
(Yellow is representative of Pakistan, with the neighboring pink belonging to Turkey)
Pakistan has been largely silent in the region, with their players engaged in airstrikes – the most recent one being on Belgium.
(Antwerp is located north to France, in the top left, the UK is visible)
A week or so ago, Antwerp was liberated by the Belgians, concluding the invasion. Many observers have criticized Pakistan’s airstrikes as unwise, for Pakistan is a relatively small country and cannot afford to waste huge sums of money on attacks with uncertain outcomes.
Moving back to India, after Pakistan was removed from the picture, an old nemesis – Thailand stepped in; after a comparatively more successful airstrike, they took as many as three southern regions. It took around a month for the Thais to be evicted.
Thailand, for unknown reasons counts India as its’ bitterest enemy – back here, in many quarters, the feeling is mutual. A short while after being evicted from Indian lands, the Thais are back, this time with an "Asian defensive pact"
Full article - http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-mofa-asia-defensive-pact-2391920/1/20
It’s uncertain what the full impact of this “Defensive pact” will be. For one, China and Croatia are part of opposing alliances (namely Asteria and Sirius), and tensions have been building up between both sides; this law which was passed a week ago only reinforces the fact
On the other hand, as Ashwamedh notes, China has no reason or inclination to attack India. As a country, China doesn’t seek to become a superpower (yet), but serves as a “stronghold of players” for doing business. Presently, China has 10/10 bonuses, meaning that taking more regions will not make a difference to resource production. Furthermore, taxation income from Indian regions is negligible and not worth it to start a major war against Croatia and her allies (including the US).
(The graph shows Croatian tax revenues – the most Croatia got from 13 Indian regions was 571cc. For a comparsion, they got 8599 cc from Serbia during the same day)
More interestingly, the Chinese president, Atracurium has never shown any aggressive tendencies against India. As a special gesture, he has returned all the tax revenues collected from occupied Indian regions to the government.
So, on the whole, the only major threats are Pakistan and Thailand. Even these challenges have largely been offset, with Croatia signing a NAP with India. The full terms of this agreement, as stated by our president, Mr.Calvin are laid out in this article –
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/india-croatia-nap-agreement-2394928/1/20
This agreement provides a lot of things – India will no longer be at risk of being a “wiped state” with a government in exile, we will now have a good-sized congress, adequate resources, some income. The Indo-Croatian relationship has gone through many phases with several misunderstandings in between. But, with time, we have come to understand each other well and the result is stability in the region, which will serve India well in the future.

very detailed analysis
Great article, very concise you covered a lot but no waffle 😃
Good point how eChina has no reason to attack anyone

Nice article. v +s
gr8 article, but if the tension increases...croatia may prove to b aggressive to china, as the invasion can prove economic boost to them ....:/
Yep, but any such invasion will only be momentary. Croatia will take three Chinese regions, then be pushed back. Not so long ago, Russia tried being "funny" with china and took many regions, but they didn't stick around for long.
Since the Russian invasion, China hasn't mounted any reprisals (as far as I can see on the map)
russian invasion was a training abttle, between china and russia in china.....like we had with croatia
ahh, war games, 🙂
yep, you've got a point. It'll be interesting to see how this pans out
Croatia wont risk a strike on China either, they know China is a Business Country, and thats the reason they Made a trade Embargo with them. Croatia is already having a headache with Slovenia, Serbia and Hungary.. They will only use their strengths there, so Croatia would never risk a battle with China. And China is super strong too, and Croats know it too
highest revenue is not from india, it is from serbian held region.
true 🙂 - I meant that 571 cc was the most revenue Croatia got out from India for the past five days. I should've been more concise, sorry.
voted and already subbed! keep writing 🙂
Excellent.
Very good, congratz !
It would be interesting, though, to tell to new players (and some old) who is behind those geostrategical actors in Asia.
I mean, from where did the most citizens of eThai came from, same with Indo and China.
That way they could better understand it is a game, in a game, in a game ....
Not like to show this, but voted and subed (just to assure you to keep writing).
Ya.. eThai is a Serbian Colony
What about serious amount of citizens in China and Indo ?
that's a fair argument. I've always been leery of the idea that real life Thais ran Thailand - for them to just go and hate us without a real-life backstory (like we have with pakistan) is ridiculous
More to the point, that kind of analysis will take a while. I've just been around for some months, and finding people who are willing to provide a detailed account of that is tricky. many just focus on the battles, rather than history 😛
