BOTS - DO THEY EXIST?
Lemessianos
Dear co-players,
A few days ago I asked through the proper-official procedure (ticket) why BOTS exist in the markets. BOTS that buy products at specific prices. Clever bots that buy at higher prices when there is higher import tax and VAT. The answer I got is that there are no such BOTS and they don't understand what I am talking about. Well, I don't like being treated as an idiot.
In all the games I play, I like to know the rules. If there are bots I would like to know that they exist, what they do and what is there purpose.
I believe we all know about the market bots. Are we certain that these bots do not exist in other areas of the game?
So, do you believe that BOTS exist? Do you believe that they should stay in the game or should the markets work with the rules of demand and supply?
We need a clear answer by the eRepublik team.
(No subs needed. Just shout it. Maybe in this way we force them to answer)

+MONETARY MARKET BOTS
Market bots can easily be proved. I suspect monetary bots. I hope there are no military bots helping one side or the other.

of course bots exist. people use currency while opening companies, starting rws, for moving etc.. noone issues money but still 1 currency=0.001 gold.
your q1 food or q1 weapons gets sold very fast in specific prices.
@Lemessianos
i also suspect about monetary bots.

i allways suspected bots and when there is no bot available it's called maintenance 😁 hahahah ....how could they admit this even if it's true, they won't ever .
yes they do xD
I do not believe that there are bots! What are you talking about?
Maybe there are some stupid players that make mistakes and buy things at higher prices at the same time all around the world.

as erdoni said,
No country issues currency anymore and there are many ways to disappear it. And current average exchange rate of 0.001 clearly indicates currency flow.

I see where the misunderstanding is and I'll try to explain it.
Practically there are lots of bots. Technically, one could say that there aren't, if he just calls them by another name. Say Alexis, George, Zeus etc.
Old players will remember a country called Erepublik(land) or something. Their currency is euro. This country still exists, but it is kinda hidden nowadays. It has several differences with the rest of the countries, one of them being that they can burn (imaginary) euros in order to print currency. Any currency.
Some citizens of this country use these money to buy products from all other countries, utilizing scripts. So the problem is not the existence of bots, but the existence of scripts.
Therefore, I recommend that you send a similar ticket, but this time asking about the scripts, not the bots. You will, of course, receive the same reply. But you will at least have it on record lol

just a quick reminder. Supply and demand will not work in this kind of economy. it might work if everything was player generated AND players transferred their wealth upon death.
but as it is their is both extensive wealth generation (gold rewards) and extensive wealth destruction (training/land/companies,dead players etc) with no "central bank" to create new "money"
so if you want you can pretend the "bots" are the "fed" its really the same thing. the economy needs new liquidity and the bots are programmed to inject it. in the same way the government borrows money from the magic printing press at interest and loans it out to the people and business to fuel the RL economy...
@screamingslave, even if this was the purpose, it was wrongly done as it generates too much currency without the corresponding gold and as a result the currencies have lost their value towards gold. If more currency is needed (for MPP, for land, for companies, for travelling etc) then it should be the decision of the government to issue new and more currency and thus controlling its currency.
As it currently works, the countries have no control over this and no tools to fight it.
