Fact : Holland refused the entry of turk diplomats, coming to deliver a speech asking turkish expatriates to vote in favor of the coming referendum (that will change the turk political system into a more presidential system). France welcomed the diplomats.

My opinion : i think it's retarded move, because freedom of speech should allow those guys to deliver there speech. It's not even hate speech, so who cares... i think there are nationalist political parties in netherlands that are more dangerous than those diplomats.

Anyway, i'm in favor of a total freedom of speech (not like in france but like in the us), as I think forbidding a speech is a way to give arguments to its supporters. it'd be more interesting to allow a debate and crush them with an argumentation.

partly true but not exactly correct, there are some infraction of rules by turkish side.
current government is using the state money for their campaign, planes, money and diplomatic passports. it is forbidden to do that by law so they applied to organize cultural event for their political campaign. when it was found out they forbid it. But turkish government resisted to do it.
on the other side we are not allowed to run campaign for NO! Because we have state of emergency they just block anthing they dont like by the name of security threat.

Wasnt aware of this, aswell as I didn't knew there was elections in NL coming soin.

Elections coming in NED , the refusal of entrance of Çavuşoğlu is an internal trick so as to cut votes from the far-right candidate and prove internally that the state has kinda right policy against "undemocratic states".

With everything and common sense aside,

Turkey says they will have a political meeting with turkish citizens in europe, meetings will conduct by gov't officials. Either this will be allowed by the targeted state or will be prohibited, whatever the reason is this is answer from the state should be the definite decision on the meeting. You can say that this is a mistake or a undemocratic violation, but this will not change anything. If netherlands says that no i will not allow you to conduct your meeting but you will send your officials anyway; this is a irrational move and it should have different motive in background.

This motive is this, Akp is not a social justice warrior party or 1 million votes in overall (europe) should not be enough for their campaign, (if they are this desperate), but by using this particular event they create a illusion of unjust victimhood by europeans to akp, the great good muslim guys of the world. Now they created a diplomatic scandal in foreign news, and they are using this to reinforce their cause in domestic politics.

because if the current government lets turkish ministers, nationalist groups in holland will use it as a propaganda tool. they cant take a risk like that 3 days laters there will be elections in holland
