The Canadian Progressive Front's Voting Procedure

If voting procedures are boring to you for some reason, just click on the Blue Moose instead.
I've been running into a lot of groups seeking to define or re-define what the first thing people should think of them as being about. Is it supposed to be positivity, self-efficiency or political freedom for these groups?
For the Canadian Progressive Front, our message is irrefutably clear: To respect, recognize and uphold the supremacy of the mechanics of the game. While this is among several, they all have to stem from this, just as every one of our activities attached to this game does. Success will be measured by how we perform here. Not able to deliver your party from Norsefire takeover? No matter how many hours your poured into crafting activity schemes on the forum, IRC or any sort of role-playing, your party presidency will be considered a failure. The forum ban of Rolo Tahmasee and its rescinding by Congress were both evident failures, both because of what these two RP actions did to eCanada in-game.
Where the CPF has exemplified the superiority of our belief is in how we vote.
Just as I lay out our party information in articles, in the game (such as now), just as the CPF uses an in-game message thread to bring our issues before the entire membership, the CPF also delegates our voting to entirely the game.
For Congressional elections on the 25th, members must PM the party president or post their intention to run in either an article or in the in-game message thread. The CPF organizes our Strategic Voting Team through the said thread rather than on IRC, making sure that all members know where to vote instantly.
For Presidential elections, the PP messages every member on the 1st on who they want their nominee to be. In the message the PP will list the nominees that have been announced in articles or to the party president personally, though I've gone out of my way to look into forums for Presidential campaign declarations in the past.
The Party Presidency is an open vote. This is only logical as there is no power afforded to the PP or anyone else in the CPF beyond endorsements like there is through the SVT or telling the membership what the CP options are.
If you don't want your politics decided on your behalf through forum votes and IRC debates, but rather done here in your presence, in the game we play, then the CPF is your home.

I'm all for this.
LOVE IT and I am not even Canadian, nor a moose... but I hope that point 3 of the 7 tenants happens, we miss you around the campfire of EDEN.
the "Stone Missing" sign in the video made me chuckle.
I'm for this in principle, but having the 30 member limit per PM, and not being able to add or delete ppl from the thread w/o starting an entirely new one does have its drawbacks.
supreme enlightenment.
supreme enlightenment x2
Any Activity Bonuses?
We force our activity onto our members.
Making us much more evil than Norsefire.

Agreed ~ yet, it's possible to get by well enough by adjusting to a different means of communication. It's best for the bare-bones player not those looking for full immersion in the add-ons. Sorting through PMs is the downside of leaving behind forum logins and its various folders.
A mass PM does need some extra coordination if it drops and/or adds members in a longer discussion. Done with the right timing and proper notice, the PM list can be modified effectively. I'm seeing some development on that, yet it is taking time to learn.
I clicked the moose. I feel enlightened. Thank you.
Good article! Only party that actually did this 😛
