Vote Reagan for President - A Tribute to the Greatest Generation
Ronald Gipper Reagan
I want to remind all patriotic Americans who love their country to vote Ronald Gipper Reagan for President of the United States on Monday, October 5th, unless you prefer living in a world like 'The Man in the High Castle', in which case you should totally keep voting for other people. However, my name is Ronald flipping Reagan. How could you not vote for me? 🙂
On a more serious note....
I wanted to pay tribute to the greatest generation. There are many great heroes from this generation in other countries who we owe a great debt to as well, but I will focus primarily on American veterans for the sake for keeping this article from getting overly long. I want to start off by showing you all this very sad chart, and I encourage you all to think more about this; because I am sure very few do.
It is a very somber truth that the greatest generation is slipping away. It is startling when you see how far the numbers have declined in just a handful of years. There was a time in the world where there were a lot of courageous men willing to fight for a cause that meant something. At a time when the fate of the free world was at stake, these brave men rose to the occasion. Now we wander aimlessly and squander that very world and society that the greatest generation fought to protect. I look at what has become of people since then, and what has become of my country, and it saddens me greatly.
The debt we all owe those who courageously fought in the Second World War can never be understated. Yet, as time goes on the bright shining light of the best of our country fades more and more, until there will be none left to tell their stories, none left to remind us of what we once stood for as a nation, and it is a terrible loss for us as a people. There was a time where being an American meant something, and when this nation was a beacon of hope and liberty for all the world to see.
Something must have happened along the way. Where are the Patton's? the Eisenhower's? the Bradley's? the Nimitz's? and the many men who followed leaders of that great caliber and fought for a noble and righteous cause with the most extraordinary of honor and bravery? Where are these great men who risked their lives in far-flung Pacific islands? in the deserts of North Africa? in the forests of Europe?
The creator of the term "the greatest generation" may not be the most truthful newsman, but this title could not be more accurate. I used to wonder why? what makes them so special? I wonder no longer. This is the generation that represented our values as Americans, that defended and stood for what that meant, and who saved the world from Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.
Without going in to a whole history lesson(and believe me.... I'm tempted), I just want all my readers to think about this more. Look at what has become of our country and our society, not just in America but in a Europe that has also lost its way, and look to the example of the past. If you can, talk to these heroes while they are still here to tell their stories. Learn from their courageous history, and use it to build a better future than the one we are facing now. I feel strongly that sometimes you need to look back if you truly want to move forward. After all, those who don not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.

No, thank you.
are you instrumentalizing wwII heroes to gain votes in a browser game?
Yes he is. His usual low tactics
I wouldn't let him kiss any babies just in case what he's got is communicable.
I guess I kinda skipped that long, disjointed section memorializing a generation he isn't a part of. Lemme go back and read it.
I never got those 'Join Revolution' PM from you. :'(
No PM, no vote.
Greetings! Fair notice: I am going to send my Dad and Uncle over your way... to kick your butt... if you try again to get up an e-boner by trading on their sacrifices and duty. They're in their 90s but they'll whip your punk ass. (Also, I think everyone knows this, but for the record, Reagan was terrible President who finked on his friends, ushered in an age of brain-dead so-called-religious fundamentalism and extreme economic inequality for the benefit of the super-rich, promoted drug trafficking to support an illegal war, and invaded Grenada ... Grenada!!... to draw attention away from his disastrous attempt to intervene in Lebanon. Not a hero. Not a good President. More like a patriotic-nostalgic-fascist right-wing train wreck of a wholly-owned Hollywood spectacle.)
News flash: The VAST majority of that generation find your Soviet-esque views to be deplorable and un-American... and I don't believe you. It is the internet after all.
"and I don't believe you. It is the internet after all."
"News flash: The VAST majority of that generation find your Soviet-esque views to be deplorable and un-American"
one of PQ's better writings of late, thank PQ couldn't agree more.
Philip K Dick's Man in the High Castle, is set in a world where the Axis powers had won and the US is divided by the Germans and Japanese. With Reagan's legacy of the super rich and their corporations, it interesting the novel deals with characters learning to become self sufficient and not dependent on the powers that are in place.
Well if you can't run in the UK this month I guess this is your other option...
Hail Pizza The Hutt, best girl ever.

I've always hated the way you use RL rhetoric to get votes in eRep.
What a punk
Oh goodie, Carey and I get to beat you.
Hey Ajay, long time no smell.
Go away Ajay. You can't win.
That's what Adrian said to Rocky in Rocky IV.... and spoiler alert: HE WON!
You're more like Apollo Creed in the same movie.
What won't you co-opt to try and gain votes on an online game? Is there no bottom to your moral depravity?
There's one thing he won't do. That's tell the truth.
^Ironic considering one of my "faults" is my blunt honesty.
It's crazy that you have been trying to sell a lie so long, you actually believe it to be truth.
No

Oooooh, suck on my chocolate salty balls...
Put em in your mouth and suck em!
Eat it, clown-shoe...
Nice to see the electorate weren't taken in by your ravings this time 🙂
Long may that remain the case!
Not all of us can be successful conservatives like Mr. #PigGate 😉
Was that even English? You do speak English as a first language, yes?
lol 3 years later, ajay is still at it
The very avatar of insanity xD
To do an Ajay:
1. to strive for political ambitions that are doomed to failure from the start;
2. resembling the failed ideologies and actions of the infamous Ajay Bruno of the online game eRepublik;
3. To create a Political Take Over (PTO) group, move to a new nation, claim to be a "patriotic" native, insult the real natives, and claim that the current administration is trying to PTO itself in a mass conspiracy to deny votes to your own PTO only to see plan fail miserably when no one buys your BS.
Despite repeated denials, he's up to his old tricks in eUK, with "King" William "the Great". He's already been exposed on several occasions, but continues with his rantings.
Pity the admins haven't banned these odious accounts. Still, we can live in hope.

Nothing.
It's just easier to recognize figures from the past than it is to recognize greatness around you.
Hindsight is 20/20.
Where the great men are? Look at Putin for starters.
