Around the World in 60 Seconds : Day 1,028
Roger Griswald
Today's highlights:
- eCanada looses battle for Wales
- ePoland opens war with eSerbia: EDEN targets Liaoning stronghold
- eSpain seeks to remove the eUK from its doorstep
- eIndonesia holds onto its regions in eAustralia and eThailand
Quote of the day:
“Acacia, you've signed the death warrant for myself or my successor to administer”. - jamesw (eUK Prime Minister [sorry mate you set this one up and I just couldn’t resist])
eCanada
Yesterday eCanada lost its bid to capture Wales, United Kingdom. The attack came after current eCanadian Country President Rolo Tahmasee was criticized for not providing battle opportunities for citizens, the main plank of his electoral platform. While many, including Tahmasee had expected the eUK to retreat from the battle (as the finishing time for the battle was outside of their prime time) and re-attack the region at a more opportune time, the eUK instead called upon allies, to aid them in the battle helping them to easily secure victory.
Whilst eCanadians had been pressing for a battle, few mobilised to the battlefield. In fact only 184 eCanadians fought in the battle yesterday, placing them fourth in terms of the number of troops each eNation had on the field (eSerbia-256, eBrazil-240 and eHungary-263). The poor showing from eCanada makes yesterday’s battle the second to worst mobilisation the eNation has mustered for a battle over the last month, in its war with the eUK.
ePoland
Yesterday, ePoland lost its battle for Moravia, Czech Republic. The loss, as previously reported, can be attributed to a newly executed military protection pact between eCzech Republic and eSerbia. ePoland’s main goal however in attacking Moravia was not to capture the low-resource region, but rather to activate the eSerbian military protection pact, thus opening up a war between ePoland and eSerbia.
A war between the two eNations, will most likely result in an battle for the iron rich region of Liaoning, China. The region is eSerbia’s only high-iron region and is also the only region still held by a Phoenix member nation in resource rich Asia-Major.
Liaoning will not be an easy region to capture. With 6,600 residents, 4 hospitals and a defense system, the region is a veritable fortress. Easily making one of, if not the, most difficult region in the eWorld to conquor.
eSpain
Yesterday, eSpain attacked the eUK region of Midi-Pyrenees, hoping to remove the eNation from their borders. The region, originally eFrench, was transferred over to eUK in a bid between eFrance and the eUK to capture regions in eSpain (with the help of now impeached eSpanish President Ramso).
The eUK will be fighting to hold onto the region as their Department of Defense has ordered citizens to the battlefield. Both eNations will bring 7 allies to the battle and should achieve a significant troop presence as few other wars involving their allies are slated to end today.
The battle for Midi-Pyrenees is slated to wrap up at 18:00 eRep time.
eIndonesia
Today, eIndonesia managed to hold onto two of its occupied regions against resistance wars launched yesterday. The battles for Southern Thailand and Western Australia were the result of a fringe citizen group labeling themselves as “Rebel” who forced the resistance wars when eIndonesia refused to attack neighboring ally eSerbia. While the group’s motives are not entirely clear, their main purpose for existence seems to be to spur on battle situations that allow citizens to fight on a daily basis.
As of the time of publication, there was no response from the fringe group on the results of yesterday’s attacks.

Please note that today eIndonesia (with eSerbian support) attacked eAustralia's only remaining high-titanium region of Northern Territory along with attacking the region of Southern Australia one hour later. I will provide updates on these battles tomorrow.
The Canadians who did show up in Wales kicked some major butt, handing out lots more damage than the hundreds of Phoenix troops. We did lotsa ranking up 🙂
That is true, about 850 kills were dealt, and 67,000 total damage. I am certainly not criticizing our fire power. I was one of the few on the battlefield, dealt enough damage to earn me a top 20 spot for eCan (a personal best ~ yey!).
Very good article v+s
