An Update on Your Military
Bundeswehr
This article covers the organization and activities of the Bundeswehr, the progress we have made in the past month and how we plan to continue to improve our forces.
Organization
The Bundeswehr comprises four main branches: Heer (army), Marine (navy), Luftwaffe (air force), and Expeditionsstreitkraefte (expeditionary forces). The former three are domestic forces, and the sudivision into Heer, Marine, and Luftwaffe serves to deepen the chain of command, preparing the Bundeswehr for the addition of new units as our population grows.
(Zoom picture)
Domestic forces
Wachbataillon (governmental guard) is a unit made up of congress members. Alarmreserve (emergency reserve) is a unit comprising citizens who do not want to be dispatched abroad.
All other units of the domestic forces may be called up for action abroad, although so far we have mostly relied on the expeditionary forces to carry out our international operations.
Recently, we raised funds for war games intended to train these forces at home.
Expeditionary forces
The expeditionary forces consist of four units with distinct characteristics and roles, as well as the Fremdenlegion (foreign legion).
The 1st expeditionary corps is an elite unit whose members have some of the highest strengths of all soldiers in the New World. This unit has ranked up dramatically this past month, with six of its members having been promoted Generals. We expect to see some of its soldiers attain Field Marshal rank this month, which will further increase their damage potential and turn this unit into one of the most formidable fighting forces in the New World. The 1st has spearheaded the German contribution to the allied war effort against PEACE. Its members have become battle heroes all over the New World, most recently in the bloody fighting between Poland and Hungary.
The 2nd expeditionary corps is made up of slightly younger players than the 1st, but has the similar function of nurturing an elite of German soldiers. Its members have made great strides in ranking up this part month, with most soldiers now being either Colonels or Generals. Amongst other operations the 2nd has assisted the Romanian war effort against the Asian hordes (Indonesia) and contributed to the annihilation of the imperialistic stronghold Sardinia.
The 3rd and 4th expeditionary corps are training units intended to raise a second generation of soldiers complementing the 1st and 2nd. This past month the 3rd and 4th have been assisting the allied war effort in Asia.
We are now deliberating creating a fifth corps in response to unabated interest in joining the expeditionary forces. If you are interested PM me but keep in mind that you may be asked to surrender all or part of your daily salary to help fund our weapons purchases.
The expeditionary forces are a sound investment into Germany-Austria's future. All members have been vetted for allegiance to our country and can be expected to contribute to our national security for the rest of their eLives. Although the corps consumes much of the Bundeswehr's budget it is money well spent.
Foreign legion
Recently, Habraka Abrivianius agreed to convert his privately-funded Abrivianius Defence Force (ADF) into the German foreign legion. The ADF is a blend of German and non-German players who are active in various theaters to support the allied war effort against PEACE GC. The transition of the ADF into the foreign legion is currently ongoing and, once complete, another article with additional details will be published. The foreign legion will continue to be mostly privately funded such that our limited resources will continue to be funneled toward players with the highest degree of allegiance to Germany-Austria.
Stockpiling
The Bundeswehr has established business relationships with private suppliers to procure weapons for its ongoing operations. These suppliers stock large numbers of weapons which we may access in emergency situations.
In addition, the Bundeswehr has begun to operate two internal companies which will generate a sizable stockpile of weapons and moving tickets to help equip our forces in case of invasion.

Great work ! Long Live the Union and our Army !
I need to get to work on rewriting our Bundeswehr wiki. I forgot to after the Isy Administration. I will tonight, if I can.
"The Bundeswehr has established business relationships with private suppliers to procure weapons for its ongoing operations."
You found more guys to fool? Good job, Chicco..

Get over it, Simato.
It's a fact that u fooled me and that u betrayed my trust and no, I won't get over it anytime soon.
I don't know what happened between you two (Chicco and Simato), but I'm siding with the guy who doesn't type "u" instead of "you".
I don't think that's a fact at all. That's just your preferred interpretation because you can't get over the FACT that you made a bad investment decision.
I've made bad investment decisions too. Most people have. That's why I say: get over it.
Maybe it was a bad investment decision but only since u dropped from our contract.
@Ajna Sahasarara: Wow..great comment, really expedient
We didn't have a contract, Simato. All I did was express interest in buying your weapons. After we sorted out the budget it became clear that we couldn't afford Q2 weapons. If your company was Q1 I'm sure we would be buying weapons from you. I am sorry if I created the impression that we would buy all your output no matter what. But it is not correct of you to say that we had a contract, because we did not.
I also suggested you buy an export license. It's very hard to run any business selling only in Germany, except maybe in the food sector. If you don't have the gold to buy a license, buy some with real money (10 euros, c'mon), save hard worker medals, make a joint venture with someone else, etc. etc. You are behaving as if this is the end of the world. It's really not such a big deal.
Bundeswehr article updated. 😉

"We didn't have a contract, Simato." We didn't make one in erep but we did in IRC. We both believed that it's not necessary to set up a real contract in erep because at least I trusted you. And your suggestion doesn't get u out of that because it's obvious that an export license is helpful but yet it's expensive
good article; but German translation is missing
Sorry, Robert, aber meine Zeit ist begrenzt. Du kannst den Artikel gerne uebersetzen, wenn du magst.
