~ Who Is Running This Ship [updated title w/o rash insult] ~
Roger Griswald
I am saddened today to see that not only has our long time ally and friend eCroatia attacked us, but that the eIndian government has voted to sign an MPP with our long time enemy eIndonesia.
While I was not surprised that eIndia’s short-sighted and mis-managed government would want to be aligned with eIndonesia as they actually think that CoT has some interest in our membership in their alliance (which to be clear they do not); I was very surprised that eCroatia would attack eIndia unprovoked. While I have had many issues with eCroatia in the past, they are generally respected as an eNation and have been a long-standing ally to eIndia.
Upon closer inspection, eCroatia’s motivation for this new conflict has become clear. On several occasions over the last two weeks, eCroatia has requested to shift their regions around within eIndia. They have asked to move northward distancing themselves from eIndonesia and thereby reducing any future conflict on eIndia’s soil. However, our government has refused these requests. In fact our government has bluntly instructed eCroatia that they are no longer welcome.
As anyone can see from the game map, eCroatia has no regions other than those they are renting from us, so in effect eIndia’s government was telling eCroatia that they should allow themselves to be wiped from the game.
Faced with this choice and the fact that our government has been becoming friendly with CoT member-eNations, eCroatia has decided to execute their region swap without our permission, in the hopes that future eIndian governments will be more accommodating and forgiving. This seems like a foolish move for eCroatia, but I guess now that eIndia is no longer in EDEN/GEA, they are assuming the we no longer wish to be friends.
While I would love to tell you eIndia’s government’s side of this sotry, I really have no idea what it is as there hasn’t been a solid update since the former MoFA, alector resigned a few days ago, though the newly appointed MoFA did publish a piece of propoganda explaining why she was the best for the job.
All that I have seen is that our CP, the cabinet, and Congress embarrassed our country by voting in favour of an MPP with eIndonesia (who were at war with us just two short weeks ago), even though eIndonesia’s government voted it down. So why would our government be in favour of an alliance with eIndonesia. Well the answer is obvious; they are looking to shift eIndia’s alliances to be in the Circle of Trust (commonly referred to as CoT, EDEN/GEA’s natural enemy). There is just one problem with this agenda; the CoT has no interest in our being a member.
While the CoT has enjoyed that we are distracting EDEN and eCroatia with the dog and pony show put on by our government, the fact remains that eSerbia has no interest in eCroatia loosing its regions in eIndia. In fact they are more then happy to see eCroatia far away from them and allowing eSerbia to reap the rewards of eCroatia resource bonuses. What the eIndian government is not telling its citizens is that they know this, in fact they are very much aware of the fact that it was eSerbia that told eIndonesia to vote down an MPP with us.
With all of this information out in the air, it is impossible for eIndia’s citizens to not assume one of the two possible facts about our government:
Either our government incompetent, or willfully pushing us towards being wiped from the map, but turning everyone in the game against us?
I used to assume the former, but recent events make it seem impossible that any experienced player wouldn’t realize when our country is being played for a fool.

Canada sounds like a real paradise for you...
well said
@ Venoms III: lol
Voted and what Venoms said x2
As you say: look at the map. I would have thought it almost certain eCroatia was looking to hook up its bonus regions, do a strategic retreat and block. That is the kind of discussion which would have taken place in the weeks leading to the NE. SO: did it happen?
Surely, if we are trying to educate new players (and old grumpy ones too) it would be best to analyse what happens/ed. Somehow, slogans like "we fight for honour" are unsatisfying and uninstructive. And, if we remain uninstructed the ship will indeed be crewed by fools. Not sure that is the present case though.
True story (:

I've not paid much attention to what occurs outside the Can-USA-UK Bermuda eTriangle, but I have to say that following the developments in eIndia over the last 2 months has led to many interesting reads, including this one.
It's unfortunate to hear another EDEN-friendly getting the run-around and likely shafted by the tug-of-war of choosing between 2 alliances. While eIndia's leaders had a role to play, I'm sure EDEN leaders could have found ways to explain what would come. Perhaps a breakdown of communication on both sides (as is usual in this game)?
v
@St0L3n1 & Plugson: you are both right, though the former is a bit over the top, however, EDEN was not a great friend to eIndia over the last few months, however, the relationship was balanced as eIndia also refused full membership and also rarely fought for her limited allies (even refusing to sign MPPs with EDEN members). While i don't think that EDEN's leadership had it right, nor did eIndia's, however the fact remains that our government is either ignorantly or purposely turning our country into a battleground between CoT and EDEN with China/Croatia and Indonesia/Thailand both ready to rip us to shreds and take our resources.
EDEN is the better friend in this deal for eIndia.
you forgot to mention the fact that Croatia invited your officials to discuss politics prior to declaration of war in a room named "fu**cows"
Also just wanted to point out that the current Vice President of ePakistan wants eIndia to leave EDEN and cut ties to allies... very telling.
EDEN is the better friend in this deal for eIndia.
___
And you say this why? Because you're an edenite.
"While I have had many issues with eCroatia in the past, they are generally respected as an eNation "
Croatia has a reputation of a coward and backstabbing country actually.
maybe in Bulgarian wet dreams xD

lol @Wildrunner, maybe to eBulgaria when eCroatia refused to admit eTurkey into EDEN and bulgaria got so pissed about it they left the alliance, i guess in that respect, however generally eCroatia has maintained the same alliances for years. That a sign of a good ally in my opinion. Also if by edenite you mean that i have only lived in pro-eden countries, then i guess.
Well his highway to bonuses is obviously not wide enough.
You say hello to Czechs too, will ya? xD
@Wildrunner, ePoland has no possible claim to decide who is a good ally in this game, they have double crossed more countries and almost anyone else, its always their way or the highway.
eCroatia has maintained the same alliances for years.
____
that's a nice joke. This alliance is anything but "the same" it actually has more ex-members than current members, I wonder why. And it's not only Turkey, Croatia is a coward nation, there has been several ocasions when they would ask us to go at war with Serbia to help them then they will sign a NAP or escape the battlefield in some other manner and leave us to be deleted without even informing us about it.
Croatia didn't reach the bottom, it went right through.
the same way they treated india, making deals behind their backs for their native regions without even informing them, then they acuse India for not trusting them anymore and for complaining for this mistreat. That's how Croatia operates, we know very well.
Its great to hear revisionist history from Bulgarians about what eIndia should be doing.
We were guests in India, they asked us to leave. What else is to say? I am ashamed of Croatia's shameful deeds.
I understand why bulgaria is upset with eCroatia, but that is not our problem, its bulgaria's. And frankly I totally disagreed with Bulgaria's final moves in EDEN. You guys were being bullish and in the end it was not a surprise that you left. However, the hypocrisy of eBulgaria calling eCroatia bad allies is appalling. If you don't remember you literally screwed over every single one of your EDEN allies when you decided to change sides to ONE. So come on, stop the BS and make legitimate comments.
I guess insia should allign with "allies" which invite them into chatrooms named "fuckcows" and threaten to whipe them off the face of the earth rather than look for alternatives just so they can please Roger Griswald
Actually almost 2 years ago Bulgaria was in the same situation as Croatia, we had rented regions in India and ONE wiped us in our regions in Europe. Then India proposed to us ( we didn't even ask them) to NE us so we wont get 100% wiped, we tried but it was too late, but anywas it was a nice gesture and that's how our friendship was born. Why they ddin't propose the same to Croatia? Maybe it was in the difference in how we treated them and how Croats treated them. You can't really mistreat people and expect flowers in return.
@Wildrunner
You said polish... Polish? POLISH?! Are you serious? : D
We were guests in India, they asked us to leave. What else is to say? I am ashamed of Croatia's shameful deeds. x2
Ps...roger your comment would make sence if there were more than 2 sides in this game and they had a choice where to go...since there were only ONE and EDEN around at the time I don't see your point...
@ Velibor Dolas: Thanks for being a dick, drop by anytime and take valid comments out of context. eCroatia should appologise for that, however the idea that we screw ourselves over to help CoT screw us over is not really good for us, though I understand why you and the rest of the serbians want us to no longer be friends with EDEN members. You can take your bluntly obvious rhetoric elsewhere we are not buying it.
@ Wildrunner: no you can't, however you can't expect not to be wiped fromt he game with so many enemies at your door either.
I understand why bulgaria is upset with eCroatia, but that is not our problem, its bulgaria's

I'm not even going to comment on the rest of your blabbering
Us...us...us...us... As if you've spent your entire e-life in eIndia and that gives you the right to judge the real life Indians for their actions xD
V
good point windfall, you certainly have more claim to direct eIndia then I. LOL
@Wildrunner: We will see how good of allies eBulgaria is to eIndia soon, and just how many regions your help us save. Please, as if Serbia would ever allow you to wipe eCroatia from eIndia.
Roger Griswald "the idea that we screw ourselves over to help COT screw us over is not really good for us"...Hmm genious! It sounds almost inspiring how you make a relevation to yourself without even realizing it. by US are you reffering to Albania, Croatia, or EDEN in general? Since from the looks of it you only hit for India when someone was threatening Croatia and you hit for Albania on a daily basis...
Dude, we will help as much as we can. Like I said little is still MORE than NONE and it's your beloved Croatia who is wiping out India, it's not Bulgaria.
ps roger they did appologise by doing this
http://www.erepublik.com/en/main/law/Croatia/121555
and making this article

(where they call India backstabbing traitors and pretty much scum of the earth)
dalmatino, how much is eden ready to pay Plato in order to keep Croatia "safe" there? And next time, before gloating over the Czechs and threatening India, check where Croatia was (if you can find its colour) before the air strike in Asia.
@Velibor Delas, LOL you fool, as if are calling me out for not hitting for eIndia, you are SERBIAN. Get out of here. When was the last time you fought for eIndia, I was in our last battle.
With this awful attitude by edenites no wonder EDEN is losing allies faster than the fast growing number of banned turkish CP's. A huge number of countries are looking for a way out of this abomination called EDEN with all the hypocrite madmen there. Those who stay do it out of fear. Really sad state of affairs...
@Roger Griswald allies? seriously? When it comes to week wing EDEN always fucked them don't they? Lets recall our memories and see what happen last month oh yahhh .... I remember eTurkey was on his way to eIndia and he screwed eIran oh wait eIran is proEDEN aren't they?
There was so dam close chat b/w ePakistan & eIndia about that isn't it? And there wasn't any objection by eCrotia about that in EDEN head office. So my friend facts remains there EDEN is for bigger and stronger countries like eChina & eTurkey its not for eIndia & eIran.
@Krum III: I'd hate to interrupt Plato in his holidays. Please ask Failsino how much was not enough to keep you in South America and you'll have a rough number.
Lol Roger India aren't my allies...why should I fight for them? Im just stating the obvious...You're pretending to be representing the Indian best interests by attempting to keep them glued to EDEN despite all the crap EDEN has pulled on them when in fact you're not even an Indian yourself. You don't care about India because if you did you wouldn't attempt to convince them to stay with their current allies which treat them like crap (((ignored by EDEN HQ for more than a year))), use them as shield (((constant manouvers to block the INDOs and THAI from reaching CRO))), threaten and humiliate them (((fuckcows chatroom where they're threatened that theyll be whipped or left with 1 region if they don't cooperate))), and last but not least discard like a used condom (((http://www.erepublik.com/en/main/law/Croatia/121555)))
Roger Griswald, if you want to see what Bulgarian friendship means, check the eWorld map on 1 Aug 2012 and three weeks later on 23 Aug 2012 http://www.erepublik.com/en/map
Focus on Bulgaria and Chile and their possessions before our airstrike in South America and later after the airstrike - the same countries.
Of course, you may check on Chile now, as well.
Naturally, we couldn't have done it without the help of our allies, but the initiative was ours.
