I live in a town where “the train” comes through several times daily. I say “the train” for two reasons. First because I really don't know which train it is, so I can't call it the “local 342” or something, and second because that is all my 29-month-old son needs it to be called. “The Train”.

Or more like, THE TRAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIINNNNN, DADDY!!!!!!!!

We never actually get to see it. Well, not unless it happens to go by when we are out in the car.

We always hear the train. That is the impetus to jump up and down yelling “The Train, Daddy! The Train, Daddy!”
Which is what my son does.

And the train rarely blows it's whistle just once. Like some kind of Braille, or Smoke Signals, or Morse Code, each train seems to be saying something slightly different as it rumbles through town, next to the river, down the hill from us.

Tooooooooooooot Toooooot.........
….........
Tooooooot Toot.....

That was at 10AM today.

So my 7-year-old daughter, my son and I call it a 5 Train. It tooted 5 times.

Our record is a 9 Train.

My daughter is holding out for a 14.

I've enjoyed listening to The Train around our Federalist Party Forum. Every time I see a forum post that passes along some useful information it's like hearing a 6 Train, and I feel like jumping up and down. When I see a Party member helping a newbie in IRC, that's a 7 Train, and I love it.

When I see and hear and take in all of your activity as you set your sights on a vibrant Federalist Party, I think of how excited my son gets, even over a 3 Train.
I also think about how hopefully my daughter is waiting for her 14 Train.

She knows it's out there.

And so we keep the TV off, we keep a few windows cracked open, and if we hear the slightest hint of a train toot, we stop and listen so we don't miss one.

I am all ears, Feds, for our 14 Train. And it is out there.

As President, I am working to organize our Leadership to think the way my kids do. They are Federalists, after all. And Federalists are people who go about their business every day. Working, Training, Checking Orders, Watching the Markets, Surfing the Forums, Buzzing the IRC, Sitting in RL Class...

Whatever it is, Federalists do it well. And while they are doing it they are always on the lookout for that 14 Train. Or maybe an 18. My kids wouldn't sleep that night if they ever heard an 18 Train!

The cool thing about the train is that it comes every day. Some days the best we end up with is a 5 Train. Other days we are out of the house all day and we wonder aloud if we missed The Big One. But the train will come again tomorrow. And it will keep coming.

The Federalist Party keeps coming. Every day something good happens around here that keeps us all on our toes. Because until you are SURE that the last toot you heard is really the last toot of the day, there still might come another. And they might come in bunches.

Early reports are that an 18 Train is blowing through town this Saturday night. The Federalist Party has been planning a huge blowout RaveUp Party in our IRC Cocktail Lounge #FedBar. The entire eUSA is invited. Don't miss it.
The Federalist Party has also learned that a certain VIP member of the ACP has been messaging allegations that our Party represents a threat to National Security. I'll file that in the “Humor” drawer. Probably a 2 Train.
We are about to announce the Federalist Charity Fellowship, our very own Soup Kitchen. Stay tuned for details.
Q5 houses are being distributed to all EZCompany Members. Gnilraps says, “Join a Militia Damnit.” He bursts out like that sometimes. (He didn't know he was so fond of referring to himself in 3rd person, however.)

Ben trenin günde birkaç kez geçtiği bir kasabada yaşıyorum. İki sebepten dolayı “tren” diyorum. İlki, hangi tren olduğunu cidden bilmemem, o yüzden de ona “banliyö 342” ya da başka birşey diyememem, diğeri de 29 aylık oğlumun ona öyle demesi; “Tren.”

Ve tren düdüğünü nadiren sadece bir kez çalıyor. Kabartmalı Harfler gibi, ya da Duman İşaretleri gibi, ya da Mors Alfabesi gibi, her tren sanki kasabadan nehre doğru, sonra da tepeden aşağıya inerken birbirlerinden biraz da olsa farklı birşey söylüyor.

Bu bugün sabah 10’dakiydi.

Bu yüzden 7 yaşındaki kızım, oğlum ve ben ona 5 Treni diyoruz. Düdüğünü 5 kez çaldı.

Rekorumuzsa 9 Treni.

Kızım ise 14’ü umutla bekliyor.

Federalist Parti Forumumuzdaki Treni dinlemekten keyif aldım. Yararlı bir bilgi içeren her forum mesajını gördüğümde 6 Treni’ni duymuş gibi oluyor ve oradan oraya zıplayasım geliyor. Bir Parti üyesinin IRC’de acemi bir oyuncuya yardım ettiğini gördüğümde bu 7 Treni gibi geliyor ve buna bayılıyorum.

Herbirinizin, canlı bir Federalist Parti hedefine yönelik aktivitelerini gördüğümde, duyduğumda ve tanık olduğumda, oğlumun 3 Treni için bile olsa ne kadar heyecanlandığını düşünüyorum. Aynı zamanda kızımın 14 Treni’ni nasıl da umutla beklediğini.

Trenin iyi tarafı, her gün gelmesi. Bazı günlerde denk geldiğimizin en iyisi bir 5 Treni oluyor. Diğer bazı günlerde evin dışında oluyoruz ve Büyük Tren’i kaçırdık mı acaba diye büyük merak duyuyoruz. Ama tren yarın da gelecek, ve gelmeye devam edecek.
