Out with the Old and in with the Older

First I would like to congratulate Leon for a good last term. He incited activity, got us fighting FOR a cause and with some new allies. This was good for eSA. Very good. He might have been too abrasive at times, but overall I consider it a successful term as it got the community working together.
Now onto the next term. Miyagiyoda, it isn't often that a CP in eSA gets impeached, only to be afforded the opportunity to run 2 terms later and WIN.
As I said on the IA forums, there are only 2 people that I think are currently worthy to run the country, you or Leon. I supported Leon, as there are very rarely any surprises from him, but you won.
You've won the Presidency, so now we are not the opposition. We are playing for the same team. Let's keep it that way for the good of the country.
What I expect out of you:
Articles - I don't care if they are redundant or its unnecessary to post them in-game and on the forums, I want to know what is going on. Leon's Presidency articles were wonderful. They need to be in-game.
A diplomat and a Leader - you've shown this before that you can negotiate with other countries, but we also need a leader who can be hard-nosed and not get taken advantage of by our new allies. I like CUA and think it's a great alliance, but we need to make sure that we aren't treated like a freshman during Hell Week.
Open Mind - You need to have an open mind with things that go against you in some ways. You can call Henocks programs stupid, but until eSAAFs commune is more inclusive, programs like this are helpful. I think you are 100% right in that communes are the way to go, but our economic plan helps distribute some of our wealth to you get citizens. Free handouts suck in the same way that you don't want to just "Give" weapons to every citizen in eSAAF, this is a way to check that active citizens are receiving our money.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to working WITH you if you will work with us.

"You've won the Presidency, so now we are not the opposition. We are playing for the same team."
Oh wait. Really ?
Little known fact: I played on Léon's team despite everything. He even complimented my effort.
South Africa first, always.
(So now we are not the opposition.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to working WITH you if you will work with us.)
Why mention we are not the opposition if you questioning if he will work with you? By definition you are separating yourself by saying "us" like you a separate entitiy
Good point, poor phrasing on my part. What I meant was "just because my guy lost doesn't mean Im going to oppose everything Miyagiyoda does because its Miyagiyoda doing it.
I'm looking forward to working with him.
Good luck to Miyagi, Leon and whole eSA. I have grown a liking to all of you since the time I got to know eSouth Africa and its people.
In fact, I couldn't get your political view. You are always supporting the winner. 2 months ago it was me - last term leona - now yoda.
I still support you, you were less active than I'd have liked but it happens.
But I do not.
good luck Miya! you had my full support.
The fact that Miya is impeached and comes back and kicks Leons ass says a lot about what the majprity think about the previous CP
Claudio is as confusing as a fruit salad...
Because Im "Pro-eSA?"
Voted.
I still think my Minister of Finances schemes are crazy, but he has the support of the Congress. The ballot has spoken, and I will shut up only exercising due diligence. Once we commit, we need to give things a fair chance to succeed or we get nowhere.
More important; what we do agree on is the need for regular and innovative income streams to support all our initiatives to make South Africa the best country to be born into and immigrate to. I anticipate some robust discussion, but I am confident that our shared end-goal is enough to find the best path.
Good article!
I respect both candidates for what they have accomplished in the past, any concerns I might have had for this term will be left behind. eSA first!
Sadly, but not unexpectedly I see this sentiment is not shared by everyone. LI, Ejdat and SM333 are too blinded by Leon's personality to assess what last term was all about. Hence I believe that they will not be able to contribute in a constructive manner to this term.
Unlike those people, Claudio has never put all his eggs in one basket. This leaves him able to support those he opposed before the election. All for the good of the country.
dont insult my intelligence. I know what leon did in his term and I know what he is capable of doing. He is a lunatic and did what lunatics do. unlike you I have never and I will never be swayed by his charm. local is lekka!
Nonsense. If you have been the least up to speed on things you should know that I'm not at all swayed by his "charm". On the other hand, if your argument is that he is disqualified simply because he's not RL South African then we have nothing more to talk about.
Leon is getting a lot of shit even though he accomplished more than many others has failed to... Yeah Leon you are a complete douche and not the person I would have choosen as a diplomat, but you shall have my respect for what you did during your term.
what did he do? he created a mess the next 5 CP's have try try sort out
who's our allies? who's our enemies? the lines have changed and its stupid having one of the top countries not only as your neighbor but as your enemy
You share the opinion that this country should be rented away because we are to small, and that absolutely nothing will be accomplished in this country. The last 10 CP's have not managed to get eSa out of this stalemate. I share the opinion with many others that fighting for freedom is more fun. And that it is better for eSa.
V!
Leon's charm? Whoever thinks Leon is charming doesn't know Leon. I'm not a big fan of his personality either, but he accomplished a lot more than most of the CPs I've seen in 4 1/2 years and was more successful than I would have been in attempting to achieve these same goals. Sure, there were moments that I disagreed with him, but on the whole he did a great job despite being a douche-nozzle. I just wonder if Miyagi will go back to renting out or regions or if he will stay the course and then take credit for what Leon started.
well im sure you will have something to say either way. how on earth do you think we will keep our regions? yes its easy to start the ball rolling but how does it end?
How do we keep an active population then? Because our regions are useless if we have no one to care for them.
I know you would prefer that people who disagree with you stay quiet, but a healthy state of affairs is one in which everyone has something to say either way. So I guess we should not try to keep our regions and focus on selling out to the highest bidder. That kind of defeatist attitude in govt. is what leads to people leaving eSA and eR. How about we focus on increasing population, strengthening alliances and building up the fighting strength of the people here? Nobody wants to live in a tiny rump state that rents out its regions and is vulnerable to the whim of the countries around it. If that's what you want, then go for it, but don't expect people to want to stay. Makes for a boring game.
Have I at any point said I want to rent out our regions? I was against the Russinas renting our lands deal from the start and Im against passive occupation by Brazil. However your hero went off and made war without doing giving a thought to what happens afterwards. he didnt make sure our tanks would be here and wether they would back us, he didnt make sure we had some form of protection against the retaliation that will come wether its sooner or later.
and now your hero abandons everything and heads for Iran because he lost? Anyone could do what he did, but its going to take a great mind to work us through the aftermath of leons reign!
