Phoenix = PEACE?

A question I have been asked about many a time. Is Phoenix, PEACE? Quite simply 'no'. But it is the evolution of PEACE.

They are two different things. Technically PEACE is still going, however not on the same scale it ever used to be. PEACE today contain only:

Austria,
Bolivia,
Bulgaria,
France,
Japan,
Mexico,
Pakistan,
Philippines,
Uruguay,
Venezuela



A mere shell of what it used to be.

Phoenix is the alliance that has risen from the ashes of PEACE GC. Much in the same way EDEN rose up from remains of Atlantis months ago. There are several similarities between the rise of EDEN and the rise of Phoenix from the previous alliances. Both came unceremoniously to an end, falling apart due to conflicting interests of member states. Both previous alliances emerged from the wilderness stronger and more powerful than before. A key to this is shedding members. I believe in the idea that the alliances simply got 'too big for their own good', and fell apart under their own weight.

The way to fix the problem of alliances falling apart is to have; less members, and a tighter constitution binding the members to unity. Punishing members on a lack of unity is the way to enforce bonds between the member nations. If a particular nation does not like the enforced unity, they should be free to leave the alliance as they will only weaken the whole with their non-united activities.

In short: it is better to have fewer members, but more, passionately 'bonded' members.

Phoenix is the new, slimmer, more streamlined PEACE. Phoenix still packs a hell of a punch: defeating the USA and combined EDEN mobile forces in Japan at the battle of Kyushu.

Pretty good for a new alliance of only 15. The members of Phoenix being:

Phoenix is not PEACE GC, but it is the evolution of PEACE. Phoenix is like the monkey that evolved into a human. PEACE is like the monkey that is happy to go about its business and not evolve. There is nothing wrong with not evolving, if you are not ready for it, you should not attempt it.

Disclaimer: I am not comparing PEACE GC to monkeys; it was just a metaphor. No offence intended!

Phoenix was formed on the strong bonds made in PEACE GC between friends. In the eUK we are very happy with this new alliance. Some of us in the eUK are wary of the unknown that lies ahead of this young alliance, however, we have no doubts about our fellow members loyalty to the cause.
