A Severe Case of the Blues
Longbaugh
PEACE has now conquered a total of fifteen states; reducing the once-mighty 50 to a much less sexy 35. The most recent victory was in Kansas where Russian troops destroyed the Q5 hospital put there by President scrabman right before he left office a few weeks ago. As a result of our obliteration of Kansas and our invasion of the American midwest, President Harrison Richardson has moved the Federal Reserve to Washington, D.C.
The epidemic now spreading throughout the remaining states is that of whining. President Harrison Richardson (who was temporarily banned for violating forum etiquette) is spearheading this movement in his newspaper The Harry Dick Times. They're complaining about game mechanics that allow invading nations to press new attacks when other battles are still open, but restrict defending nations from starting new battles until 24 hours have passed. Don't bring up the fact that ATLANTIS used the same strategy against Indonesia months back. No, no... don't call them on their hypocrisy. By all means... don't do that.
What President Harrison Richardson and his lemmings don't seem to realize is that their problem is that they can't seem to manage a win. Had they won in Kansas they could have immediately attacked Colorado, or New Mexico... or California from Oregon. Instead, the ineptitude of American leadership sees Kansas fall to Russia, the obliteration of one of their three Q5 hospitals, tremendous damage to American morale, and Indonesia now attacking Oregon to seal California within its ever-expanding borders (likely for good). Now the mighty United States—which always claimed New World superiority and beat its chest in the face of PEACE whenever it could—has resigned to negotiations with their enemy. Because, friends, they know they can’t win.
To make it even worse for the United States the mighty Eugene Harlot, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has stepped down from his post and has apparently been so disenfranchised with PEACE’s absolute beatdown of his country that he has decided to quit eRepublik entirely. One of the backbones of the United States military for so long has decided to QUIT.
Like I’ve said many times prior, we are teaching the United States a much-deserved lesson and we will continue fighting.
And, we will win.
Comments
Hell yeah , elimination of the United States off the map o9 .
Victory is soon at hand; if game mechanics allowed, the eUS would have been annihilated in less than a week
WWW! We Will Win!
remain vigilant, we still have a long war ahead..
but We Will Win! 😃
I will keep a stiff upper lip in the face of this oppression. 🙂
This article is so true it's actually sad...
hahaha you dont even know how to count, we had 51 regions not 50
@ Bill Forder
I didn't say regions. I said STATES. Learn how to read, then get back to me.
And what is this long deserved lesson Longbaugh? That most of our citizens are calling America the greatest and bashing your alliances members? I think PEACE is being just as immature with some of the reasons they declared war on us. There is no better side, no alliance pre-destined to win. Now as the States fall short and the weak flee, it's time for the true Americans who have been here since the beginning of V1 or even date back to the beginning to come back into the light and push back the invaders. I know right now we aren't a superpower, we aren't number one, but what we do have is determination, and if this war can have us put our internal affairs behind us, this is a lot left to be seen from the sleeping Giant.
@ Julius Rodvigo
I'll be waiting.
Woot Go Russia. i knew this was going to happen thats why i jumped ship when alaska was attacked.
Longbaugh@
Actually its 51 regions in the USA.. In eRep, Washington DC is counted as a region/state.
America will be singing the blues when Texas gets wipes off the map. Inflation in the United States (Something the Govt claimed was impossible) is now running at a 7 day average of 13.6%. The hand writing is on the wall. If I was in America, I'd be unloading USDs like no tomorrow.
This article is bad and you should feel bad for posting it. See if you can come off as a self-righteous failure a little more.
Unsubscribed... your bitterness does not become you. You were much more eloquent and insightful when you were not grinding your axe.
Send me a PM when you are done with your tirade. Looking forward to hearing from the intelligent and thoughtful Longbaugh again soon.
Granted the eUS does need a loss to remind it of its own weaknesses, such as the military not being as big as it should have been. However, does it really deserve to be conquered? Doesn't that only mean we will have one giant power dictating policy in the world?
If we have PEACE exploiting the world's politics then we, the people of this game, have lost. You're butt-hurt with the eUSA? Well I think a lot of people are with its government, it hasn't exactly been the rose garden that everyone wants. Failed foreign policy followed by a lack of initiative has effectively forced the eUS into the corner.
So yes, they got what was coming to them. At least the government did. Yet, do they deserve to be vanquished? And if so, what evil have the people of the eUSA done to deserve such a horrific concept?
@ Dewbacca
I have 3 forfeit points... 2 more and I'm permanently banned. I got reported by Gertrude Groan for accidentally calling her "Gertrude Sloan" because I wasn't paying absolute attention to her name in my response to her comment, and I subconsciously figured "Sloan" is a real name (you'd think "Groan" would be the insult). So, you better believe I have an axe to grind. I got way more crap (and forfeit points) when I was "eloquent and insightful." With that said, this tirade won't end until the war ends.
@ Nolan Pitler
This isn't RL. A PEACE-controlled New World isn't suppressing the masses with guns or Apartheid. If there is a sufficient number of citizens who don't like PEACE then they'll rightfully rise up. On the flipside, if PEACE doesn't see an uprising then it's because people are fine with it. This is a game and I don't see the point of RL mercy in a game.
To you're point about a lot of people being upset at their government... that wasn't the feeling I got when I was there. I left the country because the mood in the air was that they WEREN'T upset at their government; they'd all become drones. Maybe they're upset now that their government is losing. But, that is of no concern to me. They ran me out with their high school politics and such a culture of immaturity needs to be vanquished. I'm sorry if you don't understand that.
As far as I'm concerned, the eUSA needs to be crucified if it's ever going to rise again.
FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!! NO VOTE FOR YOU!
the fact you had to use a false title to get anyone to read this makes me not want to even consider voting it.
@ Chisholm
I was making fun of another article that's running here in Indonesia. Only three of the current 69 votes came from it. I got 66 votes without the "false advertising," thank you very much.
But, I've had my fun so I'll remove it.
and to think that your were such a dedicated US citizen dissapoints me, really.
@ maxpayne50
I still would be if it weren't for the Emerick klan. It disappoints me too.
I tried my time in politics. I was the "do the numbers" guy - the one that wanted congress to think things through. I was saddened by the state of everything.
But does that mean I want the eUSA to be governed by some power hungry foreign nations? No. Politics isn't all there is in this game, so I choose not to be involved in that part the way others do. I focus on the many businesses I run and other game aspects that overall have more impact than politics.
Alas, if more states are taken over by foreign nations, my companies will shut down and I'll simply quit the game that I've been playing for well over a year. My loyal employees will likely do the same.
You can gloat all you want about having switched to the side that's winning the battles, but that hot air is all you have. Your support of these warring nations that ironically call themselves "PEACE" is only going to drive more of your RL countrymen away from this game.
"On the flipside, if PEACE doesn't see an uprising then it's because people are fine with it."
That's the dumbest logic I've read connecting order with revolution. Yes, we South Africans, outnumbered by however many Indonesians and Brazilians there are minus about 100, are FINE with our country taken over. If we were really upset with occupation, PTOs, slavery and oppression, we'd make a movie, call it "The 100" and take our lands back with ease slicing through Japs with our assegais like a hot knife through butter.
And yet he doesn't realize hes a tool of PEACE.
@Esteban Delgado
eSouth Africa was invaded and conquered because you tried to attack eIndonesia which is a stupid thing to do
and to all eAustralians you are traitors because when we were conquered by eIndonesia you didnt give a rats ass. To top it all off you then tried to get us to help you fight eIndonesia sorry buddy but eSouth Africa deserves to be controlled by eIndonesia and eBrasil
>And yet he doesn't realize hes a tool of PEACE.
And you dont realize you're a tool of America ?
ummm.... Ok?
Goodbye America! 🙂
yes!! eUS makes me rich!! the weapon prize is rising and i'm getting richer faster!! YES!!!
@ M A V 1 C
When I was ostracized from the eUSA popular kids lunch table I thought about quitting the game. I didn't. I moved to another country to get another perspective. When Indonesia conquered Hawaii I had to sell my company. I made a profit off of it and now I've got another company in London. If you want to quit the game, then quit the game. I don't care. The current power structure in the United States needs to go, period. The way I see it, a complete uprooting can only happen when the voting populace has lost confidence in the people they continuously put into power.
@ Tormod
You've never learned the one consistency about me: I'm nobody's tool. If I was, I'd have taken down my Robert S. Miller article when Zcia asked me too, I'd still be in the USWP, and I'd be running for congress. Instead, I politely declined and resigned from the party. I'm nobody's tool. You, on the other hand...
You're losing, and all that's coming out of your side these days is whining and crying about how much better others are than you at playing this game. I'm reminding my subscribers that the United States is broken because they put people like YOU in charge. Don't get mad at me for calling it like it is all day, every day.
Your problem is you never learn... no matter how many times you're told, no matter how many times you're proven to be absolutely wrong... you never learn.
Where are you going to run for congress now???
Just because you were "ostracized from the eUSA popular kids lunch table" doesn't mean you have to help screw over everyone else. I don't care about the "popular kids lunch table." Your childish petty attitude is no different than those who populate the eUSA politics.
So you moved one business, that's not tough at all. Try moving a whole vertical market.
@ M A V 1 C
My critics can't seem to agree on whether or not I take this game too seriously.
I've got old foes on one side who attack me for being too serious all the time. But, I've also got people like you who say I'm childish for apparently not taking it seriously enough.
I contend that the ones who say they'd "never" leave the United States "no matter what" are the ones who take the game too seriously. Though I used to, after waking up on the issue, I don't hold RL loyalties in this game. So, I wanted to spice things up, for myself and for everyone else... sue me. It's just a game; a FREE one at that.
My "chilidish petty" attitude IS different than those who populate eUSA politics because I don't pre-emptively attack people I disagree with... I don't spread false rumors about people I don't like... and I'm always willing to listen and respond in kind to ANY argument. And do so without vitriol... unless of course, the vitriol is flung at me first, and for no reason.
Take my last article "Vindication is in the Cards." Compare my attitude with the attitude of those I left behind and you'll see that all I ever wanted was an elevated intellectual discussion in the United States and all I ever got was sophomoric booger slinging. Good riddance.
Results speak louder than anything. What are the results of the group that calls itself "PEACE"? The answer is war and lost businesses. You support this group, and thus you support their results.
What do the childish games of many politicians result in? More childish games. I'd take that any day over losing jobs, businesses and making the game more difficult to play for many.
@ 1337 H01D1NG5
Yes, I do support PEACE and therefore I do support their results. I had to sell my business because of the PEACE invasion, but I'm not complaining. I just moved my operation to Great Britain and started over. My weapons company in Hawaii wasn't really all that profitable, btw, because the American markets are dictated by endless undercutting—where one company puts 50 guns on the market at a cheap price, forcing other companies to sell just five guns at a cheaper price if they want to sell any at all.
I've noticed that wages and business opportunities are somewhat brighter outside of the United States. When I can buy more weapons for more wars every day because of my higher wage, and I can make more profit in the weapons market because the markets are better-handled, more regulated and cooperative... then what am I supposed to be complaining about?
With that said, this game is RIDICULOUSLY easy as-is... making it "more difficult" isn't saying much.
I think there are newer players who were never indoctrinated or intimidated on the eUS forum who think very differently than the dogma-chanting eAmerican uber-zealots. There are many questions going unanswered and growing dissatisfaction and dissent. Patriotism isn't dead, but many new eCitizens prefer strategy to hubris and they aren't seeing it. I don't care how the old regime chooses to tuck its tail between its legs but I'm interested in seeing what the new people come up with.
@ Dycey Farley
I'll presume you're speaking from personal experience. I'm going to go ahead and repeat what I've said before: The United States needs to be crucified if it is ever going to rise again. And, I won't ever return until the current power structure is ELIMINATED.
And, the best way to eliminate said power structure is to let it fail on a world stage... so that you, and your next generation lose all faith and confidence in said power structure. That means Emerick and all of his lemmings...
PEACE will correct the aberration that the United States has become. Mark my words.
