This interview was inspired by a new article by MUFC992



1) V: Hi MUC992! Some days have passed since you have written the article "Proud Days". Now we arrived to "I'm a dreamer". I wish we comment together some sentences from your article, but, first of all, given the fact that it’s already the second article that i've read with passion from your journal, let me ask something about you: what were you doing before the Presidence? Your profile in game says that you were born in January 2013, but you don't speak as a noob!

Which was your favorite area before applying as CP? Did you find difficult to grow up in the game, or yours was a fast and smooth carrer?





M: Well I’m actually really old player, since v1, I had the old account and was bored with D4, so I’m not really a noob. I was 9 times MoD of eIreland and twice President on the last account, with two CP terms on this on it makes it 4.

My favourite are is military, I don’t like politics much, I like to write articles too as you could notice 😛





2) V: Before we get into military themes, let's stay on the same topic. Here for you are some questions about the Country's Presidence and what the President means (please forgive me, but it is so nice when I can find CPs that care about the interviewers like you are doing 😛?).

So, is there any basic knowledge that a CP must have to accomplish his job in the best way? Do you have a good team that helps you? what would be your advice to someone (maybe me o_o?) that wants to become CP? Would I need an intensive course to learn everything needed to not do many mistakes? which will the essential steps be? would you advise me on what to study 😛?





M: I think you’d make a great President my friend. Firstly you need to surround yourself in Government with people you can work with, with active people who has knowledge and time to lead the country. None can lead the country alone. You must be team leader and that’s all, teamwork is essential thing in Goverment of Ireland.


You must have damn good connections worldwide aswell. It’s always helpful when you know who to call for help or what’s happening in eWorld, that way you can react before it actually happen. You also must have A LOT of free time iRL.



3) V: And now, back to the geopolitics: Ireland, in this moment, is still intact, but Poland has come to rescue UK from Argentina, expelling it from Europe...


M: Yeah, Poland came to save the UK. It was the only way to save them. But our mission is accomplished, we made babyboom for Argentinians and wiped UK. Now it’s their term and we won’t let them do it. And Poland, they are just chilling there to help UK if needed, we’re waiting them to leave.





V: eArgentina is an amazing country, do you agree? But right now they only have one region (Mesopotamia), while before they had a lot of regions in South America. In the main time, Chile has become an Empire, with 100-100% of bonus.

M: Yeah, Argentina is unlucky to be surrounded with enemies like Chile and Brasil, even Paraguay is there. They are in bad geopolitical situation right now. I know they have the balls to fight back and don’t surrender, that’s what makes them strong.







V: In this situation, first of all, what likely will happen to Ireland? Will you fight against UK and Poland or are you negotiating? And what is the priority in CUA? Free all the original eArgentinian territories?


M: Well if Poland and UK won’t accept peace where we ask for all our regions there’s no way we’ll accept on anything else. It would be humiliating to sign a peace where you give away some of your regions. eIreland is known for fighting and we’ll keep that reputation in my term too.
CUA’s priority atm is to free all CUA members, right now order script says “Fight for Ireland in Wexford”



4) V: We are on your article, "I'm a dreamer". You've written this:



“I hope CoT and EDEN will found a new alliance. I don’t think EDEN countries would join CoT, they would maybe fight for that alliance here and then, but they wouldn’t join as official members, so my opinion is that those two alliances should found a new one, containing strongest countries of both alliances […] , that might seems impossible at this moment, but that actually might happen.


It’s like someone took bunch of cards and splitted them on the table, now it’s up to every country to pick some of cards and create a new group of cards. It’s gonna be interesting who will choose each group.”



I think that you explained perfectly what could be the best prospect; i think that EDEN is a too old and static alliance, that can't competing with the others. I recently read an interview with Stolch, Supreme Commander of CoT, and it gave me the sensation that large attention is given to the equality of all alliance's members. For example, candidates for the SC can be proposed in rotation by each nation, so that none of them will be discriminated, large or small influence contributes doesn't mind.


Now that Romania is about to leave Eden forever, do you think that is there a possibility to create something new? Above all, do you think that CoT has the right push to kick off this "something new" from the past?






M: Well of course there’s a possibility. CoT won’t have much choice to be honest, it’s not about them it’s EDEN’s choice. Something new will happen and that’s certain. I believe Greece will go to TWO and then last strong country in EDEN will be China and Croatia. Since Croatia is too proud to leave the EDEN for CoT I believe only thing those two alliance can do to defeat Two is to found a new alliance.



5) V: I read in your article that the relationship between CUA and some nations of CoT could be a problem: from a side you (and we, i guess, too) see CoT like a new hope, from the other side you had established a special bond with CUA, till to become "member". I'm thinking, for example, at the antagonism between Argentina and Chile. If CoT and Two will launch the 6th WW, what could happen at Ireland in CUA?





M: Well one thing is sure, we won’t lose our allies in CUA. That was our choice and that’s how we’re gonna work. The problem is that we won’t join TWO aswell. That’s sure thing too. If CUA countries choose TWO over CoT we’ll be in very hard situation and we’ll have to make that choice. I guess it also depends about what other EDEN countries will pick.




6) V: As you have Poland, we have Serbia: can we say that Ireland and UK are two countries that probably should fight in a 1 VS 1 (and it should be more exiting also to watch) but Poland are at the back of UK?

In Italy we are weaker than you: Egov's ranking of influence clearly speaks, we are inferior in the respect of Slovenia; but Serbia is something that we don't consider, even remotely, to challenge. Look at the map:





What you have to consider like "eItaly" are three fish regions at the south, that we mantain according to a NAP with Serbia. The remaining regions are all slovenian (they often open some TWs by their own business). In your article, you've written this:


"This will only lead to bipolar world once again"

So, i ask you: there isn't a way to play with, what we can call, a law of "proportionality of influence"?
Let me explain: it would be great if neutral states (and i hope that eItaly will be neutral soon) may fight each others like equal enemies, without large interfeces (i just think that the only way for eItaly to catch some fun will be an AS for a short period). Do you have this problem too? Does not bother you to know that in this game the "1 VS 1" wars last too little and always made vain by the winning Superpowers?

In this regard, what advices would you give to eItaly?





M: Firstly, I’d rather be wiped then give a single Irish region, therefore I’d rather fight Serbians then sign NAP with them, if they wanna region they can either fight for it or pay for it reasonable price. Otherwise I’d give them strong RW’s every day. They would give up eventually. Maybe after few weeks, maybe after few months but they would for sure.

Yeah, big countries rule this game, but they deserved that, no matter how frustrating it is, they done better, they had stronger baby booms, of course they want something in return. UK is 5 times stronger then us according to egov and we can still fight them. We attacked Poland twice, took two of their regions once and they had prio on those battles, nothing is impossible, you just have to plan well, have a backup plan and be brave.



7) V: The last question is a bit "special": in "Proud Days" i've read that you keep for June a big project of Babyboom. I've worked in the past at a Ministry of Babyboom and i noticed that forums or SN (Social Networks) didn’t gave us a lot of noobs, neither. I don't want to steal your secrets, but, just let me know, in a very general way, if you think that when we speak of a "Babyboom" is the case to think about advertising spending Real Money, and, if so... could you just give us some previews about what you have tought for June? 😛





M: Yeah, we’re gonna collect RL money and then pay for advertises on facebook/RL media, that’s pretty much it, we’re creating organised country once the babies come so we can make them stay.

Questa intervista si riferisce in parte al nuovo articolo di MUFC992.



1) V: Ciao MUFC992! È passato un po’ di tempo da quando hai scritto il tuo articolo “Proud Days”, ed oggi siamo arrivati a “I’m a dreamer”. Vorrei commentare insieme a te alcune frasi del tuo articolo, ma prima di tutto, visto che è già il secondo articolo che leggo con passione dal tuo giornale, permettimi di domandarti qualcosa su di te: che cosa facevi prima di fare il Cp? Il tuo profilo dice che sei nato a Gennaio del 2013, ma non parli come un giocatore giovane!

Qual è stato il tuo settore preferito prima di candidarti come CP? Hai trovato difficoltà a crescere o è stata una carriera abbastanza spedita?





M: Dunque, in realtà sono un player abbastanza vecchio. C'ero sin dalla V1, avevo un vecchio account e mi annoiavo nella D4, quindi non sono di fatto un novizio. Sono stato nove volte MoD dell'Irlanda e Presidente (CP) per due volte sul vecchio account, con altri due mandati da Cp su questo account siamo a 4.



2) V: Voglio continuare, prima di procedere, con alcune domande sul CP e su cosa vuol dire essere CP (perdonami, ma quando troverò un altro CP che mi dà corda 😛?).

Prima di tutto, quali sono le conoscenze tecniche che un CP deve assolutamente avere per poter svolgere bene il proprio lavoro? Hai una buona squadra che ti aiuta? Se dovessi consigliare (forse a me o_o?) in 2 mesi un corso intensivo per conoscere tutto quello che c’è da sapere per non fare errori come CP, quali sono le tappe fondamentali che mi consiglieresti di studiare 😛?





M: Penso che saresti un buon Presidente, amico mio. Innanzitutto devi essere circondato in Governo da persone che possono lavorare insieme a te, persone attive che hanno le competenze e il tempo da dedicare alla nazione. Nessuno può badare ad una nazione da solo. Devi essere il Capo Squadra e questo è tutto, il lavoro di squadra è la cosa essenziale nel Governo irlandese.

Devi anche avere dei maledettissimi buoni contatti nel resto del mondo. E' sempre d'aiuto, quando conosci qualcuno da chiamare in caso d'emergenza o quando sta accadendo qualcosa nell'eMondo, in modo che si possa reagire prima che ciò succeda. Serve anche TANTO tempo libero in Real.





3) V: Ed adesso torniamo alla geopolitica: l’Irlanda in questo momento è ancora integra, ma la Polonia è venuta in soccorso dell’UK, cacciando via l’Argentina.


M: Esattamente, la Polonia è arrivata per salvare il Regno Unito. Era l'unico modo che avevano per salvarsi. Ma il nostro obiettivo lo abbiamo raggiunto, abbiamo fatto un Babyboom per gli Argentini e cancellato il Regno Unito. Questo è il loro momento, ma noi non permetteremo che continui oltre. Per quanto riguarda la Polonia, stanno soltanto perdendo tempo qui, ad aiutare il Regno Unito tutte le volte che ne ha bisogno, noi stiamo aspettando che si allontani.






V: L’Argentina è un paese straordinario, sei d’accordo? Ma in questo momento, hanno soltanto una regione (Mesopotamia), quando prima ne avevano moltissime in Sud America: il Cile è diventato un Impero, hanno raggiunto il 100-100!


M: Già, l'Argentina è sfortunata ad essere circondata da nemici come il Cile e il Brasile, ed anche il Paraguay è in quella zona. Sono in una brutta situazione geopolitica in questo momento. Ma io so che hanno le palle per combattere di nuovo e non arrendersi mai, è questo che li rende veramente forti.





V: In questo momento, prima di tutto, cosa succederà all’Irlanda? Vi sconterete contro UK e Polonia, o state contrattando? E qual è la Prio al momento in Cua? Risollevare l’Argentina?





M: Guarda, se Polonia e Regno Unito non accetteranno le nostre condizioni di pace, visto che abbiamo chiesto tutte le nostre regioni indietro, non vi è possibilità che accetteremo qualcos'altro. Sarebbe troppo umiliante firmare un trattato di pace dove dai via qualcuna delle tue regioni. L'eIrlanda è conosciuta per l'essere combattiva e noi ci terremo stretta questa reputazione, per ciò che mi riguarda.
Le priorità di CUA al momento riguardano la liberazione di tutte le nazioni di CUA, e in questo momento i nuovi ordini scritti dicono "Combatti per l'Irlanda in Wexford".




4) V: Arriviamo al tuo articolo “Io sono un sognatore”. Tu hai scritto questo:


Io spero che CoT ed EDEN fondino una nuova alleanza. Non penso che le nazioni di EDEN entrerebbero in CoT, potrebbero lottare per quella alleanza (CoT) ora e anche dopo, ma non vorranno entrare come membri ufficiali, quindi la mia opinione è che queste due alleanze dovrebbero fondarne una nuova, con dentro le nazioni più forti di entrambe [...] forse sembrerà impossibile in questo momento, ma potrebbe benissimo accadere.


E' proprio come se qualcuno prendesse un mazzo di carte e le lanciasse su un tavolo, sta adesso ad ogni singola nazione prendere alcune carte in mano e creare un nuovo gruppo di carte. Sarà interessante vedere chi sceglierà di formare questi gruppi.


Penso che tu abbia perfettamente esposto quello che potrebbe essere lo scenario migliore; io penso che EDEN sia una alleanza ormai troppo vecchia e stantia per competere con le altre. Recentemente ho letto una intervista a Stolch, SC di CoT, e mi ha dato l’impressione che molta attenzione viene data alla parità di tutti i membri dell’alleanza. Per esempio, l’SC a rotazione può essere proposto da tutte le nazioni, in modo che nessuna sia discriminata, grande o piccola per la Influence.


Ora che la Romania è in procinto di abbandonare EDEN per sempre, pensi che sia possibile creare qualcosa di nuovo? E soprattutto, pensi che CoT abbia la spinta giusta per dare il via a questo “qualcosa di nuovo”?






M: Beh, ovviamente esiste questa possibilità. CoT non ha molta scelta ad essere onesti, non dipende da loro, è più una scelta di EDEN. Qualcosa di nuovo accadrà e questa è una certezza. Penso che la Grecia si unirà a TWO e, dopo ciò, le ultime nazioni forti in EDEN saranno la Cina e la Croazia. Visto che la Croazia è troppo orgogliosa per lasciare ed entrare in CoT, io credo che l'unica cosa che queste due alleanze possano fare per sconfiggere Two è fondare una nuova alleanza.


5) V: Nel tuo articolo leggo che è un problema il rapporto fra CUA e CoT: da una parte per voi (e anche per noi, immagino) CoT è vista come la nuova speranza, dall’altra avete creato un legame molto forte con CUA fino a diventarne “membri”. Penso ad esempio ai rapporti di antagonismo di Cile e Argentina. Se CoT e Two entrassero “in conflitto”, cosa pensi succederebbe all’Irlanda e a Cua?





M: Beh,, una cosa è certa: non perderemo i nostri alleati in CUA. Questa è stata una nostra scelta ed è su questa base che continueremo a lavorare. Il problema è che non vogliamo, allo stesso modo, far parte di TWO. Questa è un'altra cosa abbastanza sicura. Se le nazioni di CUA sceglieranno TWO rispetto a CoT, saremo in una situazione molto difficile e dovremo prendere una nuova scelta. Immagino che ciò dipenda anche da quello che le nazioni di EDEN sceglieranno.



6) V: Come voi avete la Polonia, noi abbiamo la Serbia: possiamo dire che Irlanda e UK sono due nazioni che vorrebbero lottare 1 vs 1 (e sarebbe molto bello da vedere) ma la Polonia sta dietro le spalle dell’UK?

Noi in Italia siamo messi peggio di voi: la classifica dell’influence di Egov ci dà sotto rispetto alla Slovenia; ma anche per noi la Serbia è qualcosa che non consideriamo neanche lontanamente di sfidare. Guarda la cartina:





Quello che devi considerare “eItaly” sono le tre regioni fish al Sud, che abbiamo grazie alla Serbia e al suo NAP. Per il resto è tutto sloveno (loro stessi aprono e controllano delle TW). Nel tuo articolo tu hai scritto questo:

Io ti chiedo allora: ma non c’è un modo per giocare con una “proporzionalità di influence”?
Mi spiego: sarebbe bellissimo se per gli stati neutrali (e spero che un giorno l’eItalia lo possa essere) si potessero combattere delle guerre con dei nemici simili, senza grandi intromissioni (penso che per l’eItalia l’unica soluzione per divertirsi per un periodo sarebbe un AS). Anche voi avete questo problema? Non ti dà fastidio sapere che in questo gioco i 1vs1 durano troppo poco e vengono sempre resi vani dalla Superpotenza vincente?

E a questo riguardo, che consigli daresti all’eItalia?





M: Innanzitutto, io preferirei essere spazzati via piuttosto che dare una singola regione irlandese, e allo stesso modo preferirei combattere contro i Serbi piuttosto che firmare un NAP con loro; se vogliono una regione, dovrebbero combattere per essa o pagarvela ad un prezzo ragionevole. Altrimenti, aprirei contro di loro ogni giorno delle aspre RW. Potrebbero arrendersi probabilmente. Forse dopo qualche settimana, forse dopo qualche mese, ma prima o poi lo farebbero senz'altro.

E' esatto, le grandi nazioni dominano questo gioco, ma se lo meritano, non importa quanto possa essere frustrante, loro hanno fatto di meglio, hanno avuto babyboom più efficaci, è ovvio che vogliano qualcosa in cambio. Il Regno Unito è 5 volte più forte di noi stando ad egov, ma possiamo ancora combattere contro di loro. Noi abbiamo attaccato la Polonia due volte ed abbiamo conquistato due delle loro regioni, e loro avevano la Prio in quelle battaglie: nulla è impossibile. Avete bisogno solamente di un buon piano, di un piano di riserva, e di tanto coraggio.



7) V: L’ultima domanda è un po’ particolare: in “Proud Days” ho letto che avete in mente un grande progetto di Babyboom per Giugno. Io ho collaborato al Babyboom in passato ed ho notato che né i Forum né i Social Network danno tantissima utenza: non voglio rubarti i vostri segreti, vorrei solo sapere in modo molto generico se secondo te quando si parla di Babyboom è il caso di pensare a pubblicità spendendo soldi reali e se sì se ci potresti dare solo qualche dritta riguardo quello che avete in mente .







M: Sì, noi faremo una colletta di soldi RL e successivamente pagheremo per pubblicità su facebook e su media RL, si tratta di ciò. Stiamo anche creando una nazione organizzata per accogliere i nuovi giocatori e cercare di farli rimanere attivi.
