Lahore, Pakistan: Pakistan Permier League has kicked off with two big upsets of the tournament. The cricket fans were left wondering when two strongest teams Kohat Stallions and Shikarpur Hunters lost their matches to the underdogs of the tournament. Both Matches started around 10:00 A.M. (Pakistan Time) and 10 P.M. (eRepublik Time). President Policy also attended the opening ceremony that was held at Pannon Pumaz Cricket Ground in Islamabad. After the opening ceremony match in Islamabad and Lahore kicked off, 100s of cricket fans came. There were also reports of blacking of tickets, initial reports suggest that GM Board was involved.

Pannon Pumaz Vs Shikarpur Hunters - Match Summary

Tahir Awan's Shikarpur Hunter's won the toss and their Captain C. Streeks decided to Bat first. Pannon Pumaz made shikarpur suffer and early blow in the second over when they took out Opener Nadeem baig on total score of 10 runs and wickets kept following at regular intervals 18 Year old Asad Elahi played an impressive innings and scored a stable 41 runs until he was caught on ball from Kamaran. No one else from Shikarpur impressed and team scored 128 for 6 in 20 overs.

Pannon Pumaz started their innings with confidence that they can achieve this low score but they lost their two quick wickets and were 27-2. Opener Falak Ul-Hassan with was the only person who impressed and scored a beautiful 62 runs that eventually made Pannon Pumaz victorious. Pannon Pumaz won by 3 Wickets

Lahore Knights Vs. Kohat Stallion - Match Summary

The second match was played between Lahore Knights and Kohat Stallions. Badar Fateh's Kohat Stallions won the toss and invited Ahsan Shahbaz's Lahore Knights to Bat first. Everyone was expecting Stallions will crush Knights but it was just not their day in this action packed game. Lahore Knights were down to 30 for 2 when Patrick Graham and Ashfaq Malik did beautiful 4th wicket partnership of 115 runs. Ashfaq scored a well constructed 68 runs until he was caught out on ball by Zaid Chaudhary. Patrick Graham scored 73 runs and remained not out. Posting a total of 196 in 20 overs.

Stallions fought back well and we would have to say they were unlucky to loose the match. Daraz and Iqbal provided a solid 55 run opening stand when daraz got out for 31 runs. Nick Monfries and Iqbal added another 46 run partnership until Iqbal was caught on ball by Shahid Malik. At this point it looked like Stallions are well in control of the game. But the super over from Shahid Malik changed the picture of the game in which he successfully took two big wickets brought Knights back into the game. The match went on till the last ball when Stallions needed to score 3 of the last ball to win but only managed a single hence giving Lahore Kinghts 2 points in the league. Lahore Knights won by 1 run
