Your country needs YOU!
Ministry of Defence
Recently I wrote an article titled 'Reserves Shake Up' asking all reserves to re enroll in the armed forces. To be honest the response was shocking. Does no one care about the country? Does no one want to fight? Sheesh, if we were invaded now we'd be screwed because of the appalling response I received.
Enlist today and you will receive 50 GBP funding and most important of all honour.
There are also PAY OPPORTUNITES for those of rank SGT and above... and there's still SGT ranks available...

How much strength do you need to join? Its 3 right?
I wanna join. Seriously. I intend to drop of the congress during the next elections and come to britain.
Isn\'t advertising our country as being invade-able a really bad idea?
Do we have to have 3 strength to join? I want to join, but I\'m really new.
I applied to join and be a sergeant and sent 3 pm\'s to paddyohale @ and I never received a reply. so what is the poitn? I would love to be a sergeant in the reserves but if the CO doesn\'t answer my application what can I do?
I\'ve been away a bit recently, applicants have been added to the roster but I\'m afraid some may have been lost when my inbox overflowed (it deletes the oldest when it gets too big).
You need strength 3.00 to join the Reserves, but the Sgt positions will NOT be dependent on strength!
If you want to be a Sgt, you can add it to your application but I\'m not in a position to decide how many we need just yet - I\'ve had a lot of applications but it\'s really not that many when I don\'t count people who have gone inactive, people who have been banned, people who have left the country and people who are under-strength.
I\'ll join. I would also be interested in Sgt position if I do qualify.
Deilos mate, our own reserves are weak but we are still MPPd with Sweden, Romania and USA among others.
@ Sardar, you will be welcome when you make it over here 🙂
I\'d just like to point out that I dedicated a whole article to supporting the Reserves just after the \'Reserves Shake Up\' article was published (it was called \"Attention all able-bodied men!\"
I fully support the reserves, and now that I have just reached strength level 3, I shall be volunteering.
Rule Britannia!
Jacob do you wish to be a SGT or a squaddie?
I\'ve just added those new applicants to the roster. Also, I\'ve cleared my inbox down to 12 messages! Yay!
I also applied to the reserve forces to be considered for a sergeant appointment.
However, I\'m now at strength at strength four and would like to be considered for the paras instead (I assume you can\'t do both?)
I figured I was in the reserves seeing how I train everyday but am not in the paras. I currently am somewhere over 5 and have 4 Q4 guns, if you need more help let me know.
Correct William, a soldier cannot be in both the Reserves and the Paratroopers at the same time.
Are there any other groups, i.e. Reg\'s or TA? (Yeah, we don\'t call them \"Reserves\" in the UK, they have an actual name 😛)
I\'d like to be just a regular soldier, or do we not have them....? 😒
Squiddy: There is no regular standing army in the sense of full-time professional career soldiers. Even the paratroopers have regular jobs during peacetime.
In some ways using the link in the game to join the army, that you have to do before you can train, could be considered joining the regular army.
Joining \"The Reserves\" (you\'re quite right about this not being very British nomenclature) puts you on Paddy\'s list of sponsored soldiers for Home Defence. There\'s nothing stopping you from fighting anyway, if the UK or an ally is attacked, but being in the Reserve Forces means you\'re more likely to get your weapons and any moving tickets paid for.
Joining the Paras means the government will pay for you to go on jollies overseas: they are the only British troops that can be deployed overseas.
So, yes, the Paratroopers are more like the TA – and the Reserves like some kind of Dad\'s Army Home Defence Force type outfit.
lol okay, thanks for the info 🙂
