The election (mechanically) was a moderate failure. Meh.
Candor
Game over. I didn't get to vote. Broken API. Meh. Moving on...

UPDATE: 10:56pm eRep time: I come up with these previous monthly CP vote figures:
April: 2794 May: 3214 June: 2829 July: 1927 Average: 2691
So, it'll be interesting to see how many (estimated) voters were disenfranchised by this election. That said, in every one of those elections, the trend set in the first hour continued, or even increased, in all four of the previous elections.
A trend
😕= to a fair election, however. But it does show that with what history we have to base projections on, the winner by noon eRep time has won the last four elections, and probably would have won this one.

UPDATE: Monday 8:09 eRep time. I was provided this official release from Inwegen, Director, Operation Swift Fury, under which this Primary Election falls:
"The API servers have been having problems all afternoon. This is completely on the Admin's side of things. At this point it appears that it is down and may not come back up. This is an unfortunate occurrence that just happened to happen on the same day as our primary."

I voted 9 minutes after polls opened it took me about 2 minutes. I had no issues. The issue right now is eReps API is fail.
Indeed. The API was down and is now being quite sluggish. Try now as it seems to have returned.
I voted about 8:00 eRep time. It took about 3 minutes.
Frankly, I'm not surprised about the delays being reported.
I voted pretty early and it worked.
Hopefully this is a "peak user hours" problem.
Since there is a "you've already voted" detection feature, maybe they'll consider extending this to a second day.
5 minutes or so of loading.
I voted earlier this morning, and after failing once, I refreshed the page and it only took about 5 minutes
Could be faster, but still, thumbs up.
Took me about a minute, but I guess I'm the exception.
took me around half an hour but I just got it done.
Voted at 1 am, took me about a minute or 2 to get through.
I voted as soon as it went it up and I didn't have too much of a problem with it.
took me a minute as well.
voted at 11:00 erep time, took 5 minutes to get in
voted from Greece, you are right for the morning.
I voted at 8 AM EST. I got in in like 2 mins. It didn't take long at all.
Been trying to get through all day long.
Took like 5 minutes around 08:00 eRep time.
As you already know, but just for readers who are having trouble:
I think it is important to consider that this is a mission for e-Americans to take seriously and although the API system is really slow right now - prime time traffic, the cause is crucial to our viability, and as Croatia's and Eden's partner.
API's fail is not America's fail, America's win is a successful Croatian Anti/PTO Mission.
So, please keep trying, this is important.
took me like 2 minutes early this morning maybe 6:00 erep time
It worked pretty fast for me, being an early bird.
I voted about 11:30 EST Time. Took a couple minutes to load.
The site won't show up for me.
I voted early, but it did load slow.
about 10am EST, the whole thing took maybe a minute.
I wait 25 plus mins I gave up.Then I cried.
been trying for more than an hour without success. Errors at each step - API, then complete failure after that
1.5 hrs, started at 18:00 erep time, and still loading, so about to give up on it personally.
The API servers crashed this afternoon for the entire game. My explanation is here: http://eusforum.com/index.php/topic,27280.msg511206.html#msg511206">http://eusforum.com/index.php/topic,2728[..]11206
I voted within an hour of the polls opening. I was at the in-laws with a crappy DSL connection and the whole process took me under 4 minutes.
And not to derail the issue here*, but isn't this the 2nd "admin-side" error that has affected the situation with Croatia? First the battleground foul-up that possibly lost them their country in the first place and now an API server issue that may give an unfair advantage to the planned PTO of their homeland.

Steinus Maximus: Welcome to the game. Admins make lots of errors of more errors than you can even think of.
I had to try 2 different times in the day trying atleast 4 times each finaly i got my vote thou.
We sould never use this idea again after the election.
I voted at 6am est and it worked fine, less than 2 mins.
Voted about 2pm CST and it took a couple minutes.
I voted early this morning and only waited a minute or two. I'm staying in the eUS for election day because I foresee huge problems with this idea.
I'm glad it took me less than 30 seconds
I voted and it took me a few seconds to do that. If API would have worked later in the day you could have voted too.
