[MoNS] Party President Voting Advice
eBelgian Presidency
Citizens of eBelgium,
In this election for Party Presidents, we have unknown candidates running in every party, at least some of whom appear to pose a PTO threat. While we don't wish to be unfair, the government asks you to vote very carefully. In order to get the best possible candidates elected in each party, we recommend the following procedures:
A. Please save your vote for your last log-in of the day.
B. Before voting, please check this thread for updated voting advice.
C. If the recommended candidate in your party seems secure, please consider changing parties before voting to support the candidate who most needs your help.
At this time, the government recommends that the following candidates should receive your support:
Belgium for Belgians: temujin94
Res Belgica: Xgentis Lempereur
Belgian Communist Party: Critically
Free Belgium: Thore Thoreson
Belgian PT Party: Kylero
Every vote is important. Please use yours wisely!
L’Union fait la force ! Eendracht maakt macht ! Einigkeit macht stark !

The Goverment of eBelgium.

Citizens, please vote these candidates!
This is important!!
Yes, we can !
I understand your worries but isn't this indoctrination?
I mean serious... why does the government has to decide which candidates are good and who's not. I see there's only 1 good candidate at each party you say... we don't have a lot of choice if we follow up your advice.
Because multies have put themselve has candidate. If multies gain control of our party they can propose their candidate for the CP elections and if all our party fell to them we won't have any ebelgian candidate to opose them.
this is also a test for the congressional elections
Voted!
Report noctar and marfos.
Misanthropist, please note at no time was this framed as an order. The operative words, carefully chosen, are advice, recommended and please. We recognize this is a democracy, but want our citizens to be informed and to vote wisely.
Aldous, these two have been called to Sammy's attention.
Wouldn't it be more interesting that only citizens that publicly motivate their candidature are recommended?
Who made this list? On what criteria candidates where selected? Why are candidates who do publicly motivate their candidacy have a lower (read NO) priority than those who didn't even bother to write an article?
Yes we should stop PTO attacks but does this mean that the government should promote lazy or over confident candidates?
temujin94 was agreed upon and supported by BfB members.
Xgentis made a presentation and was agreed upon and supported by RB members.
Critically made a presentation and was agreed upon and supported by RB members.
Thore was a late entry who volunteered for the good of eBelgium and has the support of the active community.
Kylero has volunteered to help with national security and made it clear on the forum, where active citizens were aware of it, that he was running and why. There was no other known candidate in the Belgian PT Party until yesterday. In order not to split the vote, as has indeed happened, the decision had already been made to support Kylero.
voted. and already voted for Xgentis.
It seems this attempt to stop the PTO attack was only directed to the "ruling" parties. A citizen who didn't even bother to write a presentation (temujin94) got more votes than needed. Votes that could have been used to keep another party out of PTO hands.
Free Belgium seems to have had a serious candidate who took the time to write a presentation but it seems the rulers thought different.
Their goes another party that isn't that important for the "rulers".
Kylero was supported by the government on the forum? But also didn't find it important to write an article about his candidacy.
Indeed Xgentis and Critically did it the correct way, what makes it double sad that Critically couldn't count on the support of the "strategic voters".
This has to be the worst campaign to stop PTO'ers ever.
I would love to say well done but sadly I should say the opposite. :{
A vegan is right. (It's the same arguments I used in my newspaper: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/imperial-poland-belgian-democracy--1637753/1/20 )
I'm sorry you see it that way, A Vegan and Misanthropist. I see it quite differently. We had clear multis running here, and they have been reported to administrators, and not even one vote has been removed! If you were watching voting patterns, you know that strategic voters did wait as late as possible, and that we came close to saving Free Belgium because of that; however, large numbers of multi votes came late in the day as well. For most of the day, BCP had 3 votes for Critically and 1 for corpochen. The final result is 8 votes for corpochen and 4 for Critically. There was no way to counter this at the point it happened, and frankly I was surprised that BCP did not turn out in bigger numbers to support Critically. If you think you can do better next time, please come on the forum and present your plan.
I do agree there is a lot of abuse. But the way this article handles it, is wrong. There were more good PP candidates than the list says.
I haven't proposed myself as PP because I don't think I have enough experience. Next elections, I'll run for Congress. Hopefully I can do some work there to prevent abuse. I'll work with the other Members of Congress to build a democratic system to prevent abuses.
It's something we should work on because this article was far from ideal.
I don't only critices. I'm prepared to be constructive.
