VOTE CPF
I believe this election to be a very important one for our community. We have one group who pretends to support democracy but only as long as we leave the door wide open for their leader to coup us whenever he decides.
Well I say that is not good enough. We need to protect the country against all coups’ both foreign and domestic unless democratically approved by the people of Canada ahead of time.
Canada should do everything in its power to keep control in the hands of the majority. That is what democracy is all about. Let’s stop the pretending and really commit to democracy.
From my understanding most countries install a caretaker dictator. The dictator is a trusted citizen who votes and passes legislation as dictated by congress and executive branch.
My suggestion and preference is to stay at democracy and not allow any dictators unless they are approved by the majority in some way. Meaning all the countries resources will be used to defend democracy. If we lose a coup, a revolution will be launch at the earliest opportunity deemed likely to succeed.
People keep throwing up game mechanics argument at me. Well either we use the game mechanics to protect ourselves or we use our resources. You cannot argue dictator is part of game mechanics so we should just accept it, and not at the same time, use those same mechanics to protect ourselves.
Our choices are:
1. Play at democracy until someone decides to coup us and then lay roses at their feet.
2. Play like the 95% and Install our own caretaker as dictator and take advantage of the game mechanics to protect us.
3. Play at democracy and commit the countries resources against all coups’ both foreign and domestic unless the majority support the dictatorship prior to the coup.
I for one am tired of the person who spends the most money on this game getting to play eGod over us.

Thanks for asking! I believe the following are more effective under a democracy.
-Developing complex systems of competent diplomacy, coupled with good military alliances, strategy, and intelligence. Dictatorship is limited by and relies too heavily on a governing party.
-Forming a competent economic team to raise the value of our currency vs gold. Keeping in mind that gold can be bought every economic commentator agrees there are things we can do, but I believe they require an inclusive consensus-driven effort
-Developing a robust and comprehensive new player retention program. Who plays a political game with no political prospects?
-Be attractive from an immigration standpoint. New communities aren't gonna wanna live in eCanada without getting a say in what happens in our borders
The Value of Democracy is in inclusion-ism and the platform it provides for the best ideas and thinkers to flourish. I think the problem people currently have with democracy is a lack of vision/direction and some emotional baggage between the current main players. The more we bring new people in, engage in debate, and delegate responsibility, the more resilient our eCountry will be, and entertaining this game will be.
I hate to burst your bubble, but there is absolutely nothing any of us can do to change the gold to CAD price. All national currencies are interchangeable. There was a time when they were independent of each other, and there were things governments could do to make their currency worth more or less. But that's long gone.

I will now tear apart your points one by one with great ease using examples.
1 To say that Democracy is needed for competent diplomacy is asinine. A stable Dictatorship is much better because you know that you'll be dealing with one person for a long time, instead of a new face, every 30 days or less.
It's hard to forge short term friendships with one time enemies if two weeks from now the new guy in charge holds a grudge.
2. Competent Economic team. Once again, ludicrous. The same people have the same jobs month in and month out. Look at a Cabinet, the team members rarely if ever change. There's only 1 person that is willing to do a job for the most part, so they're the guy for everyone.
Having a Dictator also let's the economy not bend to the whim of Congress who are forever changing and tuning tax rates mostly to negative effects.
3) New player retention is even BETTER under a Dictator. Last month Rylde fully funded the guns and food for noobs program out of the Government in accordance with the legislation for the first time in memory. Did Molly do it? Nope. Did DMV do it? Nope. We keep players with food and guns since the only aspect of this game that isn't completely broken is the combat module, and the only person taking care of that was a Dictator.
4) Attractive to immigrants? Never. No one looks at a country with our bonuses, and then a country with 10/10 and says, "I gotta move there. I hate doing the most I can every day."
Nobody wants to move here because there's no reason to, democracy or dictatorship won't change that.
Lastly, the Government you describe is a meritocracy, not a democracy, and in this game, that will never happen.
