Plebiscite: Citizens Unite
Alias Vision
Today we wish to put to the readers and citizens at large a question of the utmost importance.
The importance of citizenship.
The issue is everywhere you look. Media, forums, private conversations I'm sure. The consensus, and for once it appears rather unanimous, is that there is a pressing need to recognize and reinforce the concept of citizenship.
Many have written articles on how this should be done and we all hope those recommendations have not fallen on deaf ears. As such, it is not the goal of this article to revisit that issue and propose the same concepts or even different ones.
Rather I hope to make this article a plebiscite. That is a vote by the electorate determining public opinion on a question of national importance. Except in this case it is of national importance to all the nations of the World.
Imagine the symbolic impact of eCanadians, with our modest media exposure, first voting in this plebiscite and propelling the article on the international stage. Once there, we invite all citizens of all allegiances to join their voices to ours. Make this a world plebiscite. Citizenship is needed now!
Over 400 voted in our Congress elections, a mere 25% of these would allow us to meet our goal. Consider it your civic duty.
So first vote, then encourage your friends, co-workers, party members to do as well.
Help make this the first world plebiscite on an important question affecting us all.
Thank you.

I will not be making multiple copies of this article for various different nations. The idea is to show the power of citizens speaking with one voice. Vote this up and then all the other nations can help us reach our goal.
Voted. Good luck with that.
Absolutely, should be a priority for admins.
Well written, great idea - voted.
Citizenship should defititely be on the admins' 'to do' list. Adding to users involvment and investment in the game and in their parent country.
voted, it's needed.
Voted.
definetly, im tired of seeing small, weak, underpopulated, ecountries being taken over by political regiems
Voted, citizenship is needed.
i have no idea what this news is about.
"The importance of citizenship" and doesnt say how that is achieved.
"Over 400 voted in our Congress elections" when was this and no info what this election was.
"Many have written articles on how this should be done and we all hope those recommendations have not fallen on deaf ears" well unless you improve your writing style (try Active sentance grammer) and provide some actual info, maybe it wouldnt.
Karly, click the international news button, read the article entitled "citizens or TOs" with over 400 votes. This will help to educate you, as I realize that having only been playing for 5 days means you haven't been reading the articles over the last few weeks which Alias is refering to.
Voted - I must be extra smart or something because I actually understood your message very clearly.
Karly, I appreciate that you're reading articles and commenting on them, but you should probably be a tad more cautious with your words. I'm not sure what you mean by "active sentance grammar", but if you're talking about AV writing in passive voice then I think you're being a bit picky. However, I find it hard to believe that somebody who misspells "sentence" and who lacks capitalization and coherent grammar would even know what passive voice is.
Let's try to be a bit more positive.
She brought up one important point, I shouldn't assume my readers have read everything I have. I could have provided links or directed people to a certain article like Phineas did.
That being said, I will try "Active sentance grammer" the second I figure out what it is. 😉
Im trying to find that article, "citizens or TOs", but I can't find it. The international news are only two pages and the article isn't there. Is it possible to have a link to it, or maybe what country it originated from ? Tks
Voted
vote where?
Oops! Just discovered I hadn't voted for this yet! Have now 😉
Voted!
