Dear citizens of eBelgium,
In the medias I have recently seen several attacks against the government by people pretending to be representatives of “the citizens” (mainly Wim Vercauteren). It is true that there have not been enough communications from the government.
I admit that through his articles, Wim has done one good thing: keeping the medias alive. But it is his sole merit. I will provide hereby different quotes from him and provide my answer, not as government official, but as a player. I will make one quote and one answer every couple of days.
E belgian congres is corrupt, driven by corporate cowboys … we pay their gambling debts!
Let’s assume that Wim is right and that congress members are indeed corrupted and only acting for their own interest. I have one question: Why are you voting for them? Everyone is able to run and vote.
Moreover, there is a Belgian specificity which is that there is usually a rather large number of congress members (30, excepted when we are invaded
😁) which allows anyone to be in congress with a minimum of activity or with a few friends.
Moreover, 95% of the congress activity is public, and only a very few topics (with the notable exception of the immigration management) are discussed in private. Every money expenditure is voted in a public area and the management of the Belgian assets is available through a spreadsheet updated by the Ministry of Finance:

Making laws in dark corners of Erepnational, laws that provide a daily amount of gold to strong players to make them stronger is democracy for you? Using taxmoney from weaker players who have no chance in getting this gold!! This is corruption. You are promoting inequality!

Every belgian citizen has the right to come on the forum and ask for help programs. Some are restricted to low level and some other have some slightly higher requirements (level 25 is achievable in a couple of months and it is not very hard to obtain it). But indeed we are spending taxes on the people who are somehow actives. However, eRepublik rules do not allow us to spend money easily on the whole population, excepted through Mutual Protection Pacts, which we can only sign in limited numbers.
Sitting on a big amount of money is rather useless and thus it is good to redistribute a part of it to the citizens of eBelgium.
Thanks Jofroi. I believe that numbers are objective and don't lie. Public financial records are public for one good reason: transparency, and so, proof that the government is NOT corrupt.
Bending the thruth and trying to make this sickening BS look like you are doning a good thing ... to answer you'r question. Democracy doesn't even excist in EBelgium!
Politicians like yorself often camouflage their lust for power and money hunger by trying to sound democratic on electionday, after that we don't hear you.
EBelgium GOV is hiding much more from their voters on their forum.

Now, we are in a little country, we don't have a lot of opportunities.

We are not in the obligation to be in congress, or in politic to make something for the country, don't forget that.

Where are your proof or evidence? You know they are hiding stuff, what and where? How do you know?
You say they are corrupt, bring it up to the Supreme Court.
In the end all you do is shout. You have no plans. You talk of revolution, how does that take place within game mechs? You shout great shouts of injustice but offers no solution. I seek political reforms in eBE in the past. While others disagreed, I always have a proposal as well. I also have something solid and concrete to critique, a policy/ political structure that needs reform. What are you offering? I am sorry mate, but this is not what eCommunism is about. If you want to understand real communism, talk to Johnobrow, Sir Nils, Phoenix Quinn, etc.
You say corporate fat cat corrupt the congress, where are your evidence. I can say Wim is corrupt or Wim steal candies from little kids. I can say many things to gain political capital.
In the end base on what I see, Wim is no real eCommunist. Other eCommunist will be ashamed of Wim's movement if they see what he is doing. Also Wim is only evoking revolutionary imagery as a means to gain political capital (not really successful). He say things are undemocratic and unjust since he is not in power. As soon as he is in power, things in his eyes will be ideal and there is no real change of policy other than the change of title, Wim the commoner to Wim a politician.

On the economic part, a good Communes system is the only real thing that communism in eRep can achieve, higher-skilled workers helping lower-skilled newbies with the profits being shared. Statism can't work, even if a significant majority of citizens in an eCountry supported communism, because of the restrictions of the game in favour of eCapitalism.
Gov is corrupted, people who don't need it are getting free gold daily... payed with taxmoney? Even president goopy mess is one of them!

No more rhetoric. Show me evidence. Show me logs, pics, etc to show corruption. If not, then drop the topic and this total nonsense.

Also if you do not stop slandering the congress and gov etc, I would recommend people like Jofroi and other eBe citizens to open a SC case against Wim on the basis of slander and insult. He keeps insulting the congress and slandering their names. He makes accusations without the means that the accused can defend themselves. This slander is not only bad politics but it is to a point of being criminal.
There are limits to free speech and I urge the citizens of eBE to begin looking SC actions against the vile and untrue assault and attacks on the character of the members of congress and government.

There is something i don't understand Wim.
Maybe i am wrong but you take part in some of these programs we propose for citizens on forum.
For me, it is exactly the same thing.
The foods / weapons you get through this program can be sold and thus exchanged for gold. So, where is the difference since you are yourself indirectly taking benefit of this "gold" whatever the form it takes.
I give those away djon... i don't keep them. I give even more away. I don't see anny problem in that. It is not the same thing... i consider these programs false. The GOV doesn't communicate with erep, they only communicate on the forum....

-They have donated 400 GOLD to the dutch, without informing the EBelgian people!
-They close the borders for manny people, wil migration whas closed thay used their CP's to let some of their elite friends in!

And that is "corrupt" or "illegal" how? You are on trial not for corruption but your your reckless outburst about Auggy. Congressman getting .19 gold a day is not corruption. It is most likely that they are in the "eBE" army. If the eBE army is really own by the state, there is no problem and it is not corruption.
The 400 gold issue is simple. It was not yours in the first place. And the gold was agreed my the eBE congress to return it back to the original source. If you or "the people" did not know about it, that is not the problems of the eBE congress etc.
So you still do your rhetoric. You continue your populism but without any real understanding the issues or even the term "corruption."
