eBelgians, eBelgium needs you !

Day 1,662, 03:18 Published in Belgium Belgium by Nohjis

Hello,

Ever wonder what was to this game beyond clicking the fight work and train buttons ? I know most simply don’t care about a browser game beyond that point but there’s a thriving community out there eager to welcome the newcomers and new social projects. I don’t see the point in the simple time sink options that the basic game mechanics offer you. I always wonder how to be able to make a difference. Around here you can make a real difference through the game beyond the game, the social interactions.

The layout of the map is determined by decisions of a very small group of eRep players. More power to them ofcourse but didn’t you ever wonder how they influence the world or their individual countries ? To know more you’ll need to participate in that game beyond the game. The solution is social interaction, making friends and having debates to find out other people may think alike.

Let’s take a look at our day to day reality:

There are about 150 to 200 players that can really be considered active in eBelgium. All to a smaller or greater degree. With that I mean, it are the ones that vote, fight in their military unit or just try to make a bit of money through their companies. Out of these 150-200 about 50 visit the forums each day and out of those 50, maybe 10 participate in real debates. Out of these 150-200 about 20 visit eBelgian IRC channels to engage in chats and out of those 20 maybe 5 are the real decisionmakers of day to day management of the country handling eventual emergencies that present themselves.

So why does eBelgium need you ?
Your opinion counts, a country can only move forward through new ideas, through innovation. Get to know the people who become President or Congress member, get to know their style and find out how serious they are about the job you have trusted them with. Get to know how state support for citizens is organized.

You might even one day decide to take up a more active role because you have the social fiber and want to help out others. You may run for congress or president yourself because you feel noone represents the ideas you have or you feel attached to a cause. The political module is about more then the 5 gold the game awards you, be a part of the team for eBelgium !

Don’t be afraid to ask questions, get access to the vast knowledge some people have of the game and the tools that are at your disposition. Get out there in the game beyond the game, be a part of the solution !
