Can you help me, French mates?
Bootcha
Hi, as you might know (propably you don't) I came to eFrance from eCzech republic. I haven't writen a single article for a while. It's because I'm busy in real life and I only doubleclick.
I write this article today because I need help from real French 🙂
.
I'm about to write a paper about czech retirement system and I have to compare it with another country's retirement system. I have chosen France. And that's why I need your help. I'm searching for any relevant english article about French retirement system. It will be also great if you write your option about it (the system).
I will reward any help. Thanks lot!

I am willing to try to help you friend.
But we are talking about retirement IRL?
For if we talk IG I think we practice a more radical approach. xD
Same for me. 😁
Thanks for reply. We are talking about IRL retirement as IG retirement is imo nonsense 🙂.
First of all, it's way too early! But people would never want to work longer...
My generation (20-25) will be retiring in our 75. What French young people? Is it same in France?
I don't know, but for the moment it's far from that. If I'm not mistaken, the official minimum is 60, the maximum 70 but the minimum to get full retirement is 62. Obviously it depends on the type of job you have and other things.
Retirement is calculated based on the year of birth but also by the number of work quarters. On average it takes an employee contributes at least 40 years. For a person born after 1955 she retires at age 67. After early retirements are possible compared with the difficulty of his work justifying a permanent disability of at least 20%. But there are still companies that leave from their old with a beautiful pot which almost never happens for people working in the private sector.
Finally I hope that's not too wrong. 🙂
I suppose that you can start here, and follow the references : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pensions_in_France
Thanks, I will look on it. 🙂

Those articles are interesting, but the anglo-saxons bias toward hoarding of capital rather than contributory pension scheme is significant. Regardless, as a Frenchman, I believe in our system and find it attractive... but I'm not that confident on its sustainability and put some money aside.
Thank you very much, I will use your links.
ha ha ha 67 till retirement if average life is shorter. I see IRL is the same sh*t in many Euro countries.
