Portugal conquered North Carolina
Russia conquered Indiana
Portugal is attacking Pennsylvania
Russia is attacking Illinois (again)
Our walls are currently holding in both Pennsylvania and Illinois and the battles should be over early afternoon EDT.

As a followup to yesterday, yes, Spain admitted to accidentally giving away 16,000 Gold. *ouch*

Here is something about the game that should be interesting to some of you. Not only is PEACE deadly, but in the game, peace is also deadly. Fighting gives us two crucial things: experience points and access to a hospital. If we eat well (Q4 or Q5 food), then we can just about hold our wellness steady as we work and train. But how many of us can afford Q4 or Q5 food? Not me! So in normal events, if we work and train and eat, our wellness slowly moves down. If we fight, we lose 10 wellness points for each fight, BUT, after we fight we can go to the hospital and get up to 50 wellness points.

So ... if we live in a peaceful country that is not involved in any battles, our wellness goes down, our companies fire us because we're not productive, our salary goes down so we can't afford good food ... which is exactly why after starting in eChina for sentimental reasons I used my first pot of gold to buy a wellness pack and a moving ticket to my RL home state of Kentucky.
