(WTP)- America's Alliance Situation- What do you think of our MPPs ?

Hello America,
Things have been turbulent as of late. Be it lack of war, new alliances, or ATO efforts, Americans have been moving around. One key issue in America as of late is these new alliances.
Fresh from the ashes of CTRL, America set itself out on a tentative path back to old allies. For a straight month we have had no real war just so we could help our allies in their endeavors.
However, things have changed.
Again.
With some of those old MPPs put aside and new ones taken on, the American public is now fighting against some people whom they used to consider "friends."
Many Americans are happy with the moves that the administration has made with our MPPs. On the other hand, quite a few are not.
To assist both eAmerica's Leaders and her People, WeThePeople's Department of Communications has set up a survey. In this survey you will rank each of our current MPPs on a scale of 1-5: One, meaning you honestly detest this ally; 5 meaning you think they are life-long Bros.
In order to form a more perfect and complete Union, WTP is asking that all Americans fill out the survey and put what party they have allegiance to. This will help us deliver the results in a fair manner....

WTP currently has a staff set up in place to deal with multiple responses, and any other trickery that can be carried out. We assure you, this form will be democratic.
Also, I would like to remind all people who are asked to not participate in the Survey that participating will be undermining a democratic forum. So if you have any respect for Democracy, DO NOT PARTICIPATE !
Anyways, thanks for reading everyone! Results will be published in 3-5 days after next Monday and only after we sort out the mass spam-attack we are expecting.
Merry Christmas America,

To Subscribers- I now owe you 3 WWN articles. So yes, there will be new editions of WWN coming out.
Merry Christmas guys o7
To anyone who questions the validity of these results- Please just PM Hale26 for ScreenShots. I assure you that WTP will not rig the results- We're only doing this to see if people do have faith in the current path we're on.
As a party founded on populist principles, we believe it is our duty to carry out surveys like this and gage public opinion. Our place in eAmerican Society, you could say.

"Many Americans are happy with the moves that CONGRESS has made with our MPPs."
(My emphasis on the word Congress.)
I know this is a common misconception. Game mechanics aside, in the eUS the Executive branch determines our MPP stack. Congress holds the keys to things such as taxes, Treasury donations, NE's & MPP's but the NE's & MPP's are directed by the PotUS and/or Sec. of State. The NE can be initiated by the Exec. and then war approved or disapproved by Congress by a vote on the forum. Of late Congress has just been following the lead of the Exec. and going straight to an in game vote.
The MPP stack however has throughout my history (since the 44th Congress) been dictated by the PotUS posting an MPP thread in the Congress private board listing either YES or NO countries. Congress has the right to question that list and upon occasion this has happened. But unless a PotUS has show him/herself to be incompetent or rogue this list has been followed when voting for MPP's.
The reason being for the Congress to appear to be 'sheep' following orders is a simple one. They are! \o/ Before you go on a tangent, proclaiming to everyone that our system is corrupt and lead by such-and-such or so-and-so please let me explain the reason why. Everyone in Congress cannot be in contact with dozens of leaders in dozens of potential allied countries. Can you imagine the colossal fubar that would take place if 30 or 40 Congressmen each attempted to negotiate MPP's with the Congressmen of 30 or 40 other countries. I'll give you a moment...
Anyhow, the CP's and the Secretary of State or Minister of Foreign Affairs pretty much all know each other and communicate on a regular basis. If you don't like your current MPP stack then check out your CP's agenda before you elect him/her.
Thanks for reading this WoT, I just wanted to be completely clear on this point.

What dill said.
Edited.
Appreciate the edit by Hale26.
I'm not wanting to be the turd in the punch bowl but I'd still like to point out that the only part of the administration that normally selects MPP's are the Foreign Affairs people. That being the PotUS and SoS.
But anyhoo, Merry Christmas to all!
~pickle scurries off to spam the survey~
Survey filled with non-spam

'Can you imagine the colossal fubar that would take place if 30 or 40 Congressmen each attempted to negotiate MPP's....'
I thought that was what Ambassadors where for, to negotiate such things...?
At the end of the day, one guy "decides" these things. I quit deluding myself years ago.
But at least here, unlike Congress, no one tells you to STFU when you suggest an alternative strategy to the one in place. Great article Hale, the nation deserves the conversation since we're all part of the team.
i just hate, nothing more.
chile, bulgaria, poland?
Does the average player have enough communication with political leaders in foreign countries to really make this a worthwhile survey?
change for change
war for war
where is the spirit and soul
@FG, PM sent. This might be a long convo, so I'll keep it in PM.
@Candor, Thanks mate. Even if one person does decide everything, he still needs to convince his people that he made a good choice. I mean, since Erep doesn't have a dictatorship feature, we can just deploy and fight for whoever we want. But if it DID have a dictatorship feature...that would be kinda cool 😁
Like I said in PM, I think it's rather obvious that the current Administration (and those in the recent past) aren't doing a very good job of communicating our foreign affairs situation. They're making decisions and they'll let the rest of us know about it later. Meanwhile conspiracies fly around about the eUS joining TWO or some other nonsense and EDENites flip their shit and the Administration doesn't especially care.
But that's not really the point of the survey, based on what this article says. We all hate Poland, but we signed a defensive MPP with them to hold Serbia at bay. Smart move, actually. Additionally, efforts are being made to reevaluate alliances and relationships with other nations. Things change. A country that may have suffered from bad leadership for a long time has started to get their stuff together and wants to become an ally. Should we give them the opportunity?
Ranking all of our MPPs without any sort of context will provide mostly useless results. MPPs shouldn't be confused with some sort of bestie best friend agreement, and we're asked to rank nations as either ETERNAL NEMESIS or LIFE-LONG BRO. There are middle 'meh' options, but it seems mostly like gauging the strength of old grudges. That's valuable, I suppose.
Again, I agree that there is serious communication failure going on, but I still don't really get the point of this survey as it has been explained.
"We all hate Poland, but we signed a defensive MPP with them to hold Serbia at bay. "
I rotfled hard.
CTRL happened not that long time ago to actually believe in some nonsense shit being told by someone who was/is in executive.
@FG
There are a few key points of this survey. First of all, it was born out of months of the government not listening to what the people have to say. Whether that is out of their own fault or not, I don't care.
The point is, we need to start voicing our opinions on things. If you like CoT, you should say so. If you don't, you should say so.
And as for context, the context is our media and what people have heard. I recently read the State Dept's article on our MPPs. It made me think a bit, though it didn't win me over to the Pro-CoT point of view. But that's my opinion. I'm certain others have different ones, and I'm happy for that.
And asking about the opinion of Poland had to be done because then this would be a "rank our MPPs except for Poland Survey." It's a technicality. I mean, I don't like Poland but I get that they must be on our MPPs for defensive purposes. I'm hopeful that many others who filled out this survey get that as well.
Still, we might as well re-affirm our distrust for Poland. Opinion never hurt anyone.
Also, you could say that this survey will gauge strength of old grudges. However, that is looking at it from a defeatist point of view.
I see this survey as a way for the American people to respectively voice their opinions on the current path we are being taken on.
And yet again, all results will be open for the public to see. This gives a sense of empowerment to the people, and helps our gov figure out just which MPPs they need to explain more. (Minus the Poland one. We should all know why that was signed.)
Well I support your efforts. Anyone who actually wants to DO something and puts the work in for the good of the nation is fine by me. The survey just feels a bit...unfocused. You want this data to show a wide variety of things, but it's not set up to actually do that. The only thing it is actually set up to determine is what you consider 'defeatist.'
The strength of old grudges is a really valuable metric, though.
I appreciate your efforts, Hale. Doing things that would assist in the FUN of the most GAMErs possible is always a positive thing.
Lets think more economicaly, serbia is stopped, ok. Mexico? Why do we need them? We need some more resources, while other nations have, for our stupidity, extra production. Most of that time we have production just to survive, if we can't start with recycling our goods, than we have to take some regions for ourselves.
And why Canada is not our ally?
