This has been yet another eventful few days worldwide, with huge battles raging across Europe, suggesting World War V is getting more and more intense by the day.

France Invaded by Spain and Poland

The thing that Phoenix has been dreading for the last week or so has happened over the past few days, with Spain and then Poland attempting forays deep into French territory. It all began on Thursday when Spain launched a three pronged attack on Southern France, turning the tables on a country that has invaded them recently, hitting Midi-Pyrenees and one of France's two high stone regions, Aquitane. Spain won both of these battles relatively easily and attacked Languedoc Rousillon, however France launched a counter attack on Aquitane, but they were heavily defeated. Spain then attacked Auvergene and Limousin, which also fell to the Spanish. They then attempted an attack on the strategically important region of the Loire Valley, however huge Phoenix participation in the battle enabled France to secure the region and launch another unsuccessful counter attack on Auvergne. Since then Spain have attacked Rhone Alps, France's second Stone region and one of their key regions overall and look likely to win the battle there. After wiping Germany from the map, as they were expected to, Poland moved on Alsace, putting them just three victories away from Paris. Poland won this battle easily but it is now being hit by a resistance war which in the end was won by France. Poland then attempted what could possibly be their last attack on France for a while, on Lorraine, which is currently being held by France, although if Poland eek out a victory they will be able to continue attempts to break through into France.This looks to be a critical stage of the war in Europe, as if France falls the UK and the Netherlands will undoubtedly follow swiftly.

Heavy Resistance in Germany

In the first two days of Germany being wiped off the map there were no serious resistance war attempts, but late last night Phoenix started a series of resistance wars in Italian and Polish occupied Germany. These resistance wars have been very successful so far, with Germany returning to the map earlier today in the form of Baden Wuttemburg, Saxony and Bavaria, one of Germany's most important economic regios, which is extremely promising although Italy have just declared war on Germany, meaning another attack is likely tomorrow and it will be interesting if Italy can make any impact on the newly returned Germany. The resistance wars in Poland look less promising, with Poland winning the first two mini battles although now the resistance wars in Italian held regions are over Phoenix may be able to focus more on the Polish held regions of Saarland, North Rhine Westphalia, Rhineland Palatinate and Saxony-Anhalt. Overall this has been a very positive couple of days for Germany as it suggests that they will almost certainly be on the map for Thursday's congressional elections, meaning they will not be under threat of PTO.

Russia,Hungary Take Back Regions from Romania

Recently, Romania has been one of the most feared and powerful countries in the eWorld, partly due to their old population that has a lot of gold to burn for tanking and partly due to people like Bogdan_L their president seemingly having an unlimited credit card balance to play with. Last month Romania along with Poland wiped the former superpower Russia off the map and earlier this week did the same to another Phoenix superpower, Hungary. However this week Romania have lost many of their regions in Russia and Hungary, through well planned resistance wars backed by Phoenix. As mentioned in my previous report, Hungary returned to the map through resistance wars in Romanian held Central Transdanubia, Northern Hungary and Northern Great Plain although they have yet to RW back their fortress region of Central Hungary, probably due to the huge battles raging across the eWorld. Earlier this week Russia took back their key high iron region of the Urals among others and have over the last few days launched more RW attempts to remove Romania from Russia's original regions. They managed to take more regions from Romania, leaving them with just Central Black Earth. It looks like the Romanian empire may be crumbling , with its Russian holdings virtually gone along with a babyboom in Russia, which could put even more Romanian regions under threat. Russia have also started resistance wars in the Polish held regions of Volga Vyatka, which was successfully taken by Russia, Kaliningrad, Russia's traditional ingame capital, Leningrad Oblast and Northern Russia. These battles are all currently pretty close, with both sides focusing on Kaliningrad. If Russia win these battles they will be one step closer to returning to their world power status, especially considering a lot of people from their babyboom currently reside in Polish regions.

War Rages in the United Kingdom

The battles in the UK have continued from Wednesday, with Ireland successfully conquering Wales and then attacking the West Midlands, which was close but in the end was won 8-5 by the UK. The UK also lost the East Midlands to Canada and then launched a counter attack, which was also met with defeat. This battle was bugged, meaning it is still open which means that the UK is unable to strike further Canadian regions. Whilst the Canadian front quietened down the UK moved to attack Ireland and ended up conquering North East of Ireland, South East of Ireland, Cork and Kerry and Shannon. The UK then moved on the Irish capital, attacking Dublin and also attacked our original region of Northern Ireland.Ireland have however counter attacked on all the conquered regions, except Shannon which was attacked by Canada, which was probably done so Canada can RW it back to Ireland in time for the congressional elections. Later last night the USA attacked Cork and Kerry and South West of England, probably to help out Ireland although they may make a move on the UK. They easily won both battles but were swiftly counter attacked by the USA. Ireland successfully held on to Dublin although their counter attacks on Northeast and Southeast of Ireland failed, meaning that Dublin was attacked again by the UK, although it is probably going to be a tough fight. The UK also managed to conquer Northern Ireland and are  resistance warring the formerly Irish held region of Connecticut back to the USA, meaning Ireland will never get it back due to them not wanting to attack the US, meaning their only remaining US region is North Dakota. There is still quite a good chance that Ireland may be wiped, although the attack on Shannon and the fact that North Dakota will have to be RW'd, a battle that can only be fought in from Ireland or the USA makes it less likely and it is unlikely to  happen until after the congressional elections due to the US and Canadian incursions.

The Rest
- Hungary freed Southern Transdanubia from Croatia whilst Serbia took Southern Great Plain from Croatia, only to have it re attacked in an illegally started battle by Croatia, though as usual the admins haven't closed an EDEN illegal battle.
- Slovenia has fully returned to the map through resistance wars.
