[President] - Updates + A New BEF
BigAnt
Greetings UK, this is my first in game report and these will appear every couple of days to keep you all well informed, but without treading into spam territory.
Firstly, I want to thank everyone who voted for me this month and for all the messages of support. I have been overwhelmed and notice that a lot of you share my opinion for change and a better, newer UK. I hope to achieve this and my goals this month. So moving on..
A New BEF
The 'British Expeditionary Force' was first established by Greatmoff as his term as MoD some months ago now. It was then later split into 4 separate MU's to accommodate the changes to the war module (Division's). So we had the NHS MU (Div 1), 2nd, 3rd and 4th DEF to equally accommodate Divisions 2,3,4. However this has caused problems, We have Feeds which are dead which will result in less interest from our fighters. We also rely on too many commanders and captains and so this makes us weaker/slower to respond.
When I ran for President I promised changes to the BEF, better supplies, better concentrated damage, response time and more all round activity.
So these changes have now begun tonight, Count Drakula has returned and so will head up the changes with Thorrold making sure proceedings run smoothly.
So the changes so far:
The British Expeditionary Force - As both Talons, and Kravenn's MU are privately owned all current BEF will merge into this MU (Nationally owned) over the coming days.
(Note: BEF wait for CD/Thorrold to contact you)
New IRC Room!
#BEF - BEF Fighters you now have a home and somewhere to chat and communicate. This will be almost be like another strike/command room just for BEF fighters.
Changes to Supplies
ALL BEF workers will now receive 8x Q7 weapons daily - after doing the maths each hit gives 35% more damage, so in the long run this is a good investment for our National Army. So you will receive 10FF less daily but gain 35% more damage.
- At a later date, Strikes for BEF will also be considered along with a number of other interesting ideas (name change etc), so stay tuned and if you are interested in joining the National army (Div 2/3/4) contact Count Drakula.
NHS MU
Not forgetting our new players..
If you’re in Division 1 (level 24 or under) you can join the NHS! This Military Unit is a special branch of the British Armed Forces, open for all Division 1 fighters to join, with some very special benefits:
As a member, every day you fight - no matter how much or how little, as long as you fight - you will be given 500 Health worth of food and 5 Q6 Tanks. The food to allow you to fight even more every day, and the Tanks to more than double the damage you do every time you fight, helping you to hit harder for the eUK.
As well as this, there’s a number of helpful people, including Commander Blue And Evil, and Regiment 1 Captain BeeDeeCollecter who are standing by to help you with any questions you might have. If you ever need to know more about the game, the eUK, or how to get involved with our amazing community on the forums and IRC, all you need to do is message one of us, or post in the Party feed and one of our helpfull people will be along to tell you everything there is to know.
Just click here to be taken to the Unit’s page, where you can join. It’s that easy.
President Stuff
So in conclusion we have made a fast start to the term, as you can imagine i'm still receiving PM's from CP's and MoFA's from all over the world. BEF changes are underway and my ministers are looking for staff so if you are interested contact either for the job you want.
Thorrold (MoD) - Interested in working within Military?
Kravenn (MoFA) - What to work with our allies and Foreign friends?
Max Blue (MoHA) - Wanna get involved with games, pub quiz's, informative articles etc?
Just send them a Mail to get a jerb
😃
Ireland
For those that are still unaware about out NE (natural enemy) with them - We have taken the required regions was have agreed on, Dublin and Louth. This has given us another Food bonus (Fruit) and in return Ireland have both NI & Scotland. We are basically stalling the war now until the NE ends and we can propose peace.
Game of Thrones
A quick shout for the GoT, the game is currently underway on our national forums and we have seen a huge number of people take part. If you are looking for another enjoyment - please log on and join in.
Game of Thrones
More Updates to come, stay tuned.. I will be looking at injecting some activity into our MoHA, changes for Border control, skype etc
Kind Regards,
BigAnt

Still ploughing ahead with the NHS MU.
Im disappointed BA.
One national Army for all to join... That is how it should be.
The Problem is Wayne Keeping them separate has a disadvantage you are right - less activity
But we are countering this by installing some experienced players in the NHS MU to mentor and answer questions.
The other problem is new players will mix in with BEF fighters and make it very difficult to supply and separate each, where as at the moment its easy for Blue, check the regiments, if you have fought you get supplies, easy.

That's really the only big problem with combining all BEF together in my mind. If you did combine everything, you could break the new players into a specific regiment, but then you'll have to monitor/relocate players as they join.
NHS MU is just a temporary step to a much larger military experience. So long as we've got people willing to help new players along the way .. (cont.)
we should try and keep the logistics/supply system as simple as possible. If it's to complicated or convoluted then people will burn out, or soldiers will be missed for supply and become disinterested.
Emergy has it 😉
Great article! Good luck!
Agreed with the changes in the military. As we hardly have any division that must strike elsewhere it has no real use to have separate military units. I hope however that the regiments in the BEF will be made of people of the same division so we can aim our damage in divisions once needed.
Great to see the NHS MU gets some experienced soldiers so answers can be answered quickly.
Good luck with getting the right assistants in all jobs.
United we stand!
Stick em all in one regiment within the BEF, problem solved, experienced guys don't have to leave their current MU's to be a question answerer, and the new guys are mixing and chatting with all kind of players which is a damn sight more productive then one or two guys babysitting them
This worked perfectly well within the Royal Navy, until it was scrapped due to numbers. The same will happen to the NHS.
Sub'd g'luck
I agree with Wayne .
Good article btw 🙂 Good luck o7
