My Dáil Manifesto

Day 640, 23:33 Published in Ireland Ireland by Brian Boru

I'll be running in the North West.
HAIL ULSTER.

POLICIES:

Health:
I will continue to support the State Housing and Gifting Schemes.
I see both as essential state services, particularly with increased Irish involvement in international affairs.

Education:
I'd like to encourage people to sign up for the Uni courses, particularly new players.
They're a great way of getting some key skills early on.

Communities:
I will promote the use of the Irish IRC, which is criminally underused in my opinion.
The pulse of Ireland is not in the media or the forums, it is on the IRC, and I feel that many people who do not use it are missing out on a lot of the important details.

Finance and Industry:
I shall continue my economic reforms.
After we obtain resources security via our public and private RM company schemes, I intend to move onto increasing our international economic assets in both sectors of the economy.
I will also continue to regulate the currency market for the benefit of the country, and a relook at our taxes will be due after the September elections.

Defence:
I believe that we should be non-aligned, but not neutral.
This means that we shall not take part in the bickering of the alliances, but that we are free to use our military to defend our allies and economic interests abroad. I believe such a stance is absolutely necessary given our increased economic, military and diplomatic involvement abroad recently.

I also believe that, in the long term, we should engage in a gentleman's duel with the United Kingdom over Northern Ireland in the form of continuous wargames, with each side taking turns to defend the region from the other. However, I recognise that this is a long term goal, and I will continue to support the current wargames as well.

Foreign Affairs:
I will encourage increased diplomatic contact with PEACE GC nations as well as the governments of the occupied countries. We cannot afford to overlook relations with Russia in particular, as they now share a border with us.
