Interview with Empress Saber

Day 701, 04:03 Published in Japan Japan by Nihon no Koe

Hello eJapan! Fae here! Our Empress Day this month was one of the most exciting we have seen yet! Our Empress candidates also had to go through a few events in order to persuade the public to vote for them. One candidate went above and beyond and won first place in all events, thus crowning her our Empress!

So it is with a great honor that I introduce to you our Empress for October 2009: Saber!

Thank you Fae. Good evening everybody, my name is Saber.

Welcome Saber! This interview is very similar to the interviews I commonly conduct with our president elects. All questions have been decided ahead of time and there will be no follow up questions. So try to answer fully and completely.

Onto the interview!

So Saber, This month we had a different kind of Empress Day where candidates like yourself were asked to participate in a series of events. What did you think of this method, and which event did you like the best?

I believe that it is a good way to decide the Empress of eJapan. As the Empress, one must be able to be elegant yet at the same time be capable of leading and setting a good example for the nation. The 5 events given focuses on these aspects, and people are required to vote, which made it suitable as it makes the selection open and fair.

I enjoyed the Beauty event the most, as it gave me the opportunity to try out many different outfits, some which I have never seen before. Also, I get to witness some of the most beautiful contestants at their best.

Which event do you think gave you the most trouble?

I think it will be the event on Talent. There are quite a number of more capable leaders than myself, and yet I chose leadership to be my talent. I believe I could have done better and chose a more suitable subject.

Are there any events you would like to see added next month?

Perhaps on Compassion and Empathy? I believe, an Empress should be both strict yet benevolent, like the Emperor himself. While for the sake of the nation, many may sacrifice their emotion and their feelings to make the better choices, it may not be the best choice. Afterall, the Empress is a human too.

There were rumors that you were not able to come to the after party, what exactly happened?

I did not know about the party, as I lost contact with my Manager(Levertand)and hence I was unable to receive any word on it. When I came to know about it, the party was already over. Nevertheless, I wish to apologise for not being able to attend the party, and I'm sorry for disappointing those who had spent long hours waiting for my arrival.

Do you have any suggestions for after activities for the future?

Having not attended the party this time round, I am sorry to say that I am unable to make any useful suggestions. But I think it would have been a good one nonetheless.

So now that we have gotten a firsthand impression of the actual event, let’s get to know the lady who will be our empress for the remainder of the month.

Saber, what do you like to do in your free time?

Normally, I practice Kendo and read books. If given the opportunity, I would like to take up Swimming.

How do you feel about being Empress?

I am glad that the citizens of eJapan gave me a second chance, as it is my wish to correct my mistakes made. I hope that I will be able to live up to their expectations and I will do my best.

Many qualified ladies ran this month, any you would like to see give it a second go next month?

Chii-san was a tough opponent, and I was certainly impressed by her talents and capability. I believe she would have won if not for my entry.

What’s it like being Empress?

It is hectic, but I believe that it is worth it.

Any final words or comments you would like to make?

To future and potential Empress Candidates, good luck for the next Empress Day nominations, and may you bring peace and prosperity with your rule.

Well thank you very much for this interview Saber, I certainly hope you enjoy your title as Empress for the month, and I look foreword to seeing what we have in store for next month!

Until then!
