Imperial Ordinance 1
Nihon no Koe
His Majesty the Emperor today released the first Imperial Ordinance. In accordance with Chapter Three, Article Nine of the Constitution of the Great Japanese Empire, Imperial Ordinance 1 shall be law in Japan unless a new congress deems it illegitimate. In accordance with His Majesty's will, I, Minister of Interior Affairs Reiji Mitsurugi, present you with the Imperial Ordinance:
Imperial Ordinance concerning the National Animal
Every upstanding nation state has a national animal, representing the inherent values and qualifications of the people and their spirit within that respective nation. As such, it shall be considered befitting for the Great Japanese Empire to have a national animal as well.
Therefore, it shall be resolved from now on that the national animal of the Japanese nation shall be Japanese Scops Owl (Otus semitorques). Owls have long been regarded as messengers of the Gods as well as embodiments of wisdom and knowledge, attributes that harmonize with the general self-perception of our nation as laid out in the constitution. Owls are the embodiment of the very values our nation is founded upon today and shall thus receive the appropriate appreciation throughout the Empire.
Hail the wisdom of His Majesty, may the owl be a symbol of our nation for ten thousand years!
Comments
Japan's national animal: The YORLY owl.
I don't like that we're focusing on making these owls the national animal while there is the extremely dangerous Pyramide being spread throughout the nation that the government refuses to address!
STOP PYRAMIDE NOW!
YORLY owl! \o/
Banzai!
Banzai Scops Owl!
It looks rather inquisitive in that picture. 😃
Fitting. It seems to give that, "I'm not so sure..." look that Japanese might use. 🙂
Remind me to move the owl poison production to the black market...
Banzai!
Very fitting, Yay. 🙂
