Join the new world

I like to do sensible things, I don't jump out of perfectly good airplanes and I don't swim with sharks.

But once in a while I throw a wild hare and do something impractical. Like going for another round of the Mercenary trophy.

Today I finally reached the goal. It wasn't easy. Oh, the fighting's a piece of cake, I've done enough of that here to know what to use against what weapon for max effect at lowest cost.

What drove me bats (no comments, please) was that it took so very, very long for the last couple of countries to come up on the list of battles. Then for a bunch of them, all I got was battle stats. The server wouldn't let me fight. I was ready to take on the server, let alone the enemy!

I still have no idea why I couldn't fight. Neither side had reached the magic 84 points. Weapons of mass destruction had been deployed, guerrila tactics were in order, and I had to sit there on the sidelines.... but all is forgiven, France let me fight for them and I am now 5 gold richer and swearing I won't try that again.

Of course, I will. Next time another wild hare shows up....
