MAJOR WARS
The Hundred-Hour War
Before
After
Belligerents: France, Canada, Germany vs. UK
Results: Maybe it took a bit more than a hundred hours, but chalk up a win for Terra! Even with oodles of ONE support, the UK never won a single battle after Canada's botched invasion, getting swept from Northumberland to London, with rarely anything close to a legitimate defense ever showcased. With ONE forces busy in Serbia, it doesn't seem as if a rescue force is coming in the near future.
Winner (campaign): France, Germany
Portuguese Resurgence
Before
After
Belligerents: Portugal vs. Spain
Results: It looks as if Spain has finally gotten their act together. After an embarrassing display for the first two weeks, Spain has finally managed to push back Portugal to merely Lisboa. Although Spain has the upper hand, don't count out the Portuguese yet. But this week definitely belonged to the Spaniards.
Winner (this week): Spain
Winner (campaign): Portugal
Breakdown of the Serbian Empire
Before
After
Belligerents: Croatia, Greece, Italy, Albania vs. Serbia, Montenegro, FYROM
Results: The liberation of beloved Bosnia started a massive war of liberation on a scale not seen since the ATLANTIS attack on France. Even my previous article on attacking Serbia hadn't counted Greece in the mix. And with seven fronts to worry about, Serbia is hemorrhaging lands at an alarming rate, even losing to their NE Croatia.
Second paragraph!? Elsewhere, in Albania, FYROM has seized control over all Albanian provinces, yet Albania itself is still up and running, taking Montenegro hostage and putting just enough men as cover to prevent getting wiped. With only a single province left for Albania to run to, it looks like it may be it for the Albanians, but don't count them out yet. They're troopers.
Winner (this week): Croatia, Greece, Italy, Albania
Winner (campaign): Croatia, Greece, Italy, Albania
Romanian War of Unification
Before
After
Belligerents: Romania vs. Hungary, Slovenia
Results: With the Ukraine fiasco settled, it's turned into a bloodbath between fierce rivals Romania and Hungary. With Romania and Hungary swapping provinces but never gaining any ground, it looked like a war without end, until Slovenia attacked Western Transdanubia, liberating the province and suddenly putting Romania on the defensive. With most forces in Serbia, can Romania hold its own against two formidable nations?
Winner (this week): DRAW
Winner (campaign): Romania
Swedish Reconquest of Bohus
Before
After
Belligerents: Russia vs. Sweden
Results: Russia decimated Swedish troops. Sweden was on its last rung, with only its German colonies under its control. It was time for a peace deal. Russia could demand everything and the kitchen sink. So for a glorious victory, you...only take Bohus!? Although Russia did come out as the clear victor, the peace deal was incredibly favorable to the Swedes, who would've been happy just to stay in Scandinavia. A wasted opportunity, no?
Winner (campaign): Russia
Until next time, take care!

Im clueless as to why Russia made such a silly deal with the Sweedes,

It's possible that Russia agreed to such a treaty to strengthen relations with Sweden. Russia had nothing to gain from the Swedish regions and if they played their cards right, Sweden might move closer to TEDEN.
Possibly, but with Sweden occupying Berlin, it would be Sweden that has to make the first move to strengthen relations by returning their German colonies. I actually think the exact opposite. While Sweden is worthless geographically speaking, it has some nice land (though not oil) that would have helped a flourishing Russian Empire much more than an alliance with a nation surrounded by TEDEN nations.
Idk, the liberation of China was pretty crazy...
Voted like always. Very informative as usually. Another great piece Shoi.
