Tired of the Same Old Story
I might be in the minority on this one, or maybe the majority I guess will see soon enough, but I for one am tired of the same old same old of this nations leadership, Miyagiyoda has been a CP, and given his current style of play I don't see it being any different from current leadership, quiet, boring, secret government, I don't want to hear that he is suddenly going to be more open with the mass public on what he does.
Badger06 more entertaining, media style person, but was also a previous CP, a different name at the time, but all the same, been there done that.
Nothing against either of them personally, but I for one am sick of the same old stuff, I'm sick of repeat leadership coming back, instead of new leadership coming up. I know I am not the only one who feels this way, or I wouldn't even be in this race, others have expressed to me that, they too are sick of the same old story.
So to wrap this up, this campaign rolls on, one way or another, because we can not live down another month of bland leadership.
Campaign Points
-Transparency-
Anyone who has known me at all in this game knows, I am blunt; thus I am direct, and I am straight to the point in how I talk and how I write.
If allowed to lead the government, what I know, will be what you know.
-Commitment-
Maybe I don't have the greatest track record when it comes to where I've been in the game, or jobs that I've done, not really going to talk about that. But when given a task I do that task.
-Changes-
Our government has way to much Red Tape when it comes to things like Immigration, this needs to change, a Country President or a Vice President should be able to grant approval on citizens applying to this country, last time I checked MoS and MoI work for the CP and the VP acts as a number two, and that it is not the other way around, so there for any authority MoS and MoI have, so does the CP and so does the VP. I believe if a department is inactive the CP or VP can fill in without a uproar of "omg he illegally accepted someone, off with his head," The Red tape on matters like that needs to go.
Now this is going to be so much Fun

Who will be your VP?
Wilpanzer.
Voted from my washroom. : P
If you are happy with Ejdatful's current administration, then vote for his VP Cody.
Shows how little you know, I resigned a week ago.
Mrs. Leona, your husband hasn't kept you up to date with current ESA news? You must be too busy caring about turkey and the Lazo's
Quite the opposite, really. It's a good looking platform and one that stands for change from the current boring autonomy from Ejdatful and Grimstone.
Cody for CP!
Unless things have changed the CP can approve a citizen. I imagine that after Ejdatful became CP, in the interest of safety, MoS might have removed this privilege. MoS works for the CP, but DoI works for congress and the CP. It is fractured and wrong. Immigration should be handled by a congressional oversight committee, not in the confounds of the Executive. If there is a president who comes to power who could hurt this country, having reign of Immigration is wrong.
Absolutely. Immigration is one of the exclusive Congress powers ingame and they must wholly be held responsible for it.
I fully intend having the Director of Immigration appointed by Congress. I have never fully understood why immigration and security got split, but we need to re-examine why we do it this way.
Everything the CP does is defence and foreign affairs related. eRepublik follows the pseudo-American model where the President leads international relations and defence, and Congress domestic affairs. At at best the executive should have an advisory role within a Congressional Immigration & Security directorate.

Any plan to renegotiate rental treaty?
It is certainly possibly to try and better the deal, to get possible funds that could be used to benefit our military.
Cody, there are funds. I'm not pro "The deal" simply because I'm anti-Brazilian. The deal however is good. It is either a deal or no deal, I don't believe there is a better deal
@ Mark, how you justify that the rental treaty are good, when hundreds of brazilians companies benefit, while they pay a pittance for the regions, a fraction of their gain, is beyond me.
Good luck, Cody
You cant be CP and (basically) run immigration, it will disadvantage all the other areas a CP's attention is needed on.
Rather appoint someone with a track record to run the department and issue them this stern serious warning upon nomination:
"We are friends i know but this is serious business, i want to offer you this position in my administration and i expect results (issue a memo on how exactly you want it run). Make no mistake, i repeat, make no mistake, i WILL fire you if you don't deliver. Friend".
Then be a good CP and actually follow up on your threat, fire anyone lagging in the work and im sure we are going to be perpetually voting you into office until maybe somebody out charms you or shows more potential.
Who knows, you might be the next Grimstone.
