Hey there eNation. There is a serious issue with this game, and I think the whole damn eWorld needs to know about it! The game is filled with bugs, I mean we know that. But it also has features that can be abused, and one of those is the “court” system. We all make contracts now. Even if we make the contract, if the Thread starter (scammer) changes his post, he can easily say you did nothing.
People lose ridiculous sums of gold to these scammers. They say one thing, change it, and BOOM. Want me to give an example?
Person A (PA) is a eRepublikan looking for a good loan so he can start a company. He goes browsing around until he finds someone. Person B (P😎
is this guy. They discuss things, and then make a contract. PA signs, as usual. But then PB changes the first post to something ridiculous.
Right there, he was scammed. Supposedly, we are supposed to have a court for this. Where is said court? Nowhere to be found. If you demand justice for this, VOTE THIS ARTICLE. Or make a suggestion in the forums!

Heymans,
Comments
yeah that's why you don't do contracts through admin
Scotywest, where should we do contracts?
I am guessing the bug is that they have an "Edit" button where they can go back and edit the contract? If this is the case then all Admin has to do is remove the "Edit" button for contracts. 🙂

i have been thinking, maybe we should try get a contract system happening on the Aussie forums. But don't worry we will watching for the edit message 😛
Sounds good SW, but how can we enforce it??
John
more planning/thinking to go ahead mate.
When signing my contracts , I copy and paste the entire contract , including my signiture , into one reply post . This prevents one party from editing the contract . My banker suggested it , and it should be standard proceedure fro all contracts .
Bil
yeah when you agree to it you should quote the origonal post (although that still doesnt prove much since that can be edited too)
In other words, only sign a contract with someone you trust
Either that or bring in a Third Party. A Number of Business Owners in eAus are forming an Australian Business Association, one of its duties will be to hold contracts like this and I have a reasonable way of making sure they are safe, however there is the issue of enforcing them at a later date. But I'm sure that can be worked out.
