Analysis
Also referred to as the U.S.-Can war was considered to be the first real war. There was much confusion and controversy because of this. On the first day of the release of the war module Nave, the president of the United States proposed war with Canada. Faltnor the Canadian President immediately proposed an MPP with Sweden to deter the Americans. When Nave saw this he had his proposal canceled and then later learned that the MPP was not accepted yet and that even if it was that it would not come into play until after the war had started thus making it useless. He then had the war proposal resent and the war broke out as planned.
The United States initial invasion reported heavy losses and most Canadian provinces were holding strong. However controversy soon struck when several Americans based in Honolulu found a glitch that allowed them to use the hospital multiple times. They took advantage and wiped out the Canadian defenders. This gave them the edge and the Americans took every battle on the first day. The admins soon began a cease fire while they sorted out the bugs and for one week all the battles were halted.
After that the Canadians received much foreign support from Europe and were able to drive back the Americans and reclaim most of their land. When they reached Manitoba the largest most important battle of the war broke out with 334 fights. The winner of the battle would get to go on the offensive the next day. Manitoba was the last Canadian region under U.S. control, If they were to of lost it then it would of opened up the U.S. to Canadian invasion if Canada lost they would lose their momentum and have to defend their own regions once again. Despite a last effort by Nave the Canadians squeaked by and went on to attack North Dakota and Minnesota.
On the last day of the war the Canadians tried to take two American states but were not able to maintain a sizable force there. The war looked as if a stalemate would continue as the American’s began to get support from Pakistan. Nave and Faltnor soon signed a peace treaty which effectively ended the war with no clear winner.
Now people often say that the reason the U.S. could not hold Canada was that they were unorganized. I would have to disagree with that. The U.S. military seemed very organized during the war the thing that cost them the most was they were basically the guinea pigs for the war module which at the time really favored the defenders. First off the defensive bonus at the time was 250% instead of the current 150% this is why the Americans received such heavy losses the first day. Then a lot of it was due to people not knowing how the war module would work. Most people were under the impression that you would have to live in a border territory in order to fight, this turned out to be untrue. The losses could not of been avoided even with better communication. The only way for the Americans to of increased their success would have been to wait a week or two before declaring war.
The most crushing thing for both countries though was their economies after the war. The United States had a huge food shortage due to the decreased productivity of low wellness soldiers and the Canadian economy also had problems since they had based their economy on the foreign fighters. Once they left there was a huge vacuum in the market which also caused shortages although they did not have as severe as shortages as the U.S. due to the fact they had a smaller population to feed.
Faltnor faced much criticism from Canadians as well as Nave who received a considerable amount of criticism from the Americans. In the end Faltnor did not run for reelection but Nave served one more term. The new president of Canada, Braham a noted critic of Faltnor tried hard to get Canada into the Mediterranean alliance to avoid another war. He succeeded in doing so but it cost him some points with the Scandinavians.

Wasnt this already posted by you?
Sounds like the War of 1812.
I posted it a few days ago but some idiot spammed the news with information already in the game so it only had like 20 views.
That is, during the war of 1812 the US invaded Canada, met with initial success, then the Canadians/British won at the battle of Queenston Heights then turned the tide of war. However, while the Canadians were able to initially launch a counterattack, and even burn down Washington, D.C., they were unable to press their momentary advantage and the war turned into a stalemate.
In the end, the war lacked support from the people of either nation and cost a ton of money.
Oh yea I remeber. Yeah that pissed me off to.
Just a minor correction about the MPP with Sweden: An MPP was never signed, Canada only sent a MPP proposal to Sweden. Sweden never signed it, but the MPP showed up on Canadas page (but not on Swedens) which was a known bug. Nave cancelled but then realized that the MPP was not real, and proposed war again.
I was kind of hoping for all the special terminology invented (\"eternal soldiers\" or whatever) and a bit about the media spamming tactic. That stupid crap was the only thing that kept the war interesting in my mind. >_>
I will try and add that in inferno
Had that bug not been abused on a wide scale, it would\'ve gone unnoticed.
;O
lol, awesome stuff DF, keep up the awesome work
Off of what Michael Collins said -- that screwed us up a lot, too, as it delayed the war at least another 24 hours.
Looking forward to future articles 🙂
Thanks for the corrections alot of these I had just written through memory and I do not really have anyone to prof read them for me.
Another effect of the hospital glitch. Once the war restarted the admins had restored many Canadian\'s wellness to 100 because they fought US soldiers who had abused a bug. The US attackers were generally still at a low wellness level.
As a new eCitizen, I\'ve been looking for good summation of events that have come before. Very good articles!
The grammer could be better, a lot better. There\'s not one paragraph without some sort of continuity error. 😮
Other than that, I detect a slight bias for Canada, but meh. I\'m not a exactly a good judge of bias. XD
Says the guy with two articles. I am not getting paid to do this you know.
jolly good read
\"Now people often say that the reason the U.S. could not hold Canada was that they were unorganized. \"
I think Americans more or less were discouraged near the end. Pakistanis threw a fit because there were 3 Pakistanis for every American on the final days of the fight, making dio withdraw, seeing how you guys had much larger population with so little of them fighting.
Don\'t get me wrong, though. A couple american\'s like Korbin and Nave something ate some gold and put a huge effort forth.
A few things:
1) As I recall, it wasn\'t a stalemate quite yet; Canada had a sizable force in American regions, then Faltnor signed the peace treaty. That\'s why he received so much criticism.
2) No reference to \"The War of Nave\'s Toe\" = fail.
3) No reference to Faltnor being an ass = EPIC FAIL.
Good article nonetheless. Voted.
