Screw This I Am Running for RFC President!

Day 293, 18:39 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon

The past two months I have sat on the sidelines of politics in the U.S. back in July I ran against TGM or Franco for the presidential spot of the RFC to succeed Dish. I knew Franco was very capable of the position so I decided I would not distract him with running against him the next month and let him serve a couple of terms. Once I found out he was going to resign after one term I was a bit disappointed because he endorsed Took going out of office and I thought the support for Took would be too insufferable, apparently I was wrong.

If you want to know my platform in a nutshell it is for the most part to carry on the legacy of Dish. For those of you who were not around Dish was a very successful politician in the RFC who served two terms as president before moving to England where he ran for president again and only lost by five votes. He did a great deal of things for the party and expanded it by leaps and bounds. Now I am a believer in the “if it aint broke don't fix it” concept which is one reason I did not run last month and I often support the incumbents unless they are doing something terribly wrong, the president could get their job done better if they did not have to deal with the distraction of running for re-election against the same person every month. I believe that the recent progress in the RFC is well below what we are capable of with the Lib and USWP parties pulling further and further away.

I see the situation of the RFC right now as a stagnant party being battled over by Took and Ron Paul. We went from being only 50 members behind the lib party two months ago to being 375 behind the libertarians and almost 300 behind the USWP with only 20 members separating us from the 5th place AAP. I know the population boom should increase the numbers of the larger parties but we should of gotten in on that increase. That was a golden opportunity for us to gain members and yet the recruits we received were minimal.

Now I made a list of reasons people should vote for me in the last election and I will post it here plus some new reasons. On the party level things have not changed that much in the two months since Dish left, I know events in the world as a whole have (I should considering I am the secretary of state) but right now I am running for the RFC president spot and running for that position is about how you will manage the party not how will you manage the country. We will cross that bridge when we get there. Now here are my reasons.

1.I would be able to get our message across better. I have been writing articles as long as I have been here and I probably spend about three or four hours a week writing articles many of which make it into the top 5. I now have the number five paper in the country and am only a few subscribers away from the next spot. The experience I have gained from those months gives me reason to believe I have the edge when it comes to me writing articles and press releases promoting our parties ideals.

2. If elected I would do my best to build onto what Dish has done. Like I have said in my interview I would like to implement some sort of RFC convention where once a month anyone regardless of party could come and discuss issues that our party should address. I would also work to make our chat room more well known as there is a great deal of people who still don’t know about and probably won’t find out about unless we publicize it more. If you want more info on our chat room and how to access it PM me or comment here.

3. I have learned from experience the results of different leadership. I have seen our nation in complete disorganization when Nave began the war with Canada and the planned succession of Hawaii by former president Korbin King because of the weakened economy. I worked with Dish when negotiating with the Czech Republic during their wars and I am in my second term as the secretary of state. I know when it is good to step in and put my foot down and I know when it is good to let things just take their course.

4. If I win I feel that I am capable of running for president of the country. Though I will focus on keeping the party active and continuing to run the successful programs Dish has established in his time during the first few days of my term, I figure that I will be ready to run for president in October. Now I would be an underdog seeing as it would be my first term as a party president but I believe that I understand things like global economics fairly well and the military side of things very well. Even if I lost it would be a good way to bring publicity to our party. However I recognize that the good of the party trumps my running for president and I would make sure that the party is in best possible shape before running.

5. I have a plan to get new people more active into our party. Most people believe that to get more votes for your party you need to get out and recruit successfully. Though I do believe that is true I do not think it stops there. As I said earlier I believe in quality over quantity and we have seen this before with our party back in the July elections. Even though the Libertarian party has over fifty more members then our party at the time we finished the general elections only five votes behind them for congress. This is because even though we were not the largest party we were by far the most active and I plan to return us to that spot. Mostly my plan would entail more communication between the veteran players and the new citizens. It would be much like the current big brother big sister program however instead of just assisting the new players some of the veterans would help get the feet of the people who show promise wet when it comes to politics. They may help do research, look into something for them, or just sit in the chat room as they discus important matters. I believe that if we give new people something to do they would more incline to stay with the party.

Bottom line, we need to have it so the RFC is knocking on the door of the libs and the USWP not chilling back with the other three parties in the top 5. To do this we need to work harder to recruit more people and we need a strong leader who we can get behind. Plus if I am elected I will give out free candy.
