**Ministry of Scottish Affairs** First Address
The Irish William Wallace
UPDATE #1
This is the first Ministry of Scottish Affairs, graciously granted by the newly elected Country President Ronisu. We thank him for helping our cause; It is a great honor to have such noble eIrishmen on our side.
Goals of the Ministry
This Ministry may be the key to improving relations with the eUK. As such, the past few days we have been forming informal friendships with many of the eBrits (mostly eScottish). Here are the goals we have for this month, which I might add are biblical.
Goal #1 (Top Priority)
Improve relations with the majority of eBrits, more specifically the eScots. This is top priority because until we can come together, we will never agree on how to function as a community.
Goal #2 (High Priority)
Keeping eScotland in eIrish lands. As part of the Treaty, both eIreland and eUK gain economic bonuses and strategic advantages that otherwise would not exist. Upholding this Treay is essential to keeping peace between us.
Goal #3 (Medium Priority)
Oversee the creation of a nationalist Scottish party in eUK. This will play a huge part in organized communication between Scotch-Irish and Scotch-British. Also, it will help bring a whole community of players together as we are not officially recognized as an independent country (yet...)!
Scottish-Irish National Party is an eIrish party that is working hard to see this happen. Think of it less as a 'party' and more like an organized gathering of supporters and patriots. We will never run a CP candidate, though we will endorse ones that have eScotland's best interest. Join now to support the cause!

Ronisu, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?
lol @ haughenator
Voted...Good start Minister!
I seriously don't get this.

Can I have a Government Ministry to promote my party please?
The past three comments have been trolls, disregard them. Thank you 🙂
Can't speak for anyone else, but mine was a genuine request : )
Mine wasn;t a troll at all. I seriously dont get why we have this Ministry.
You want independence but your Scottish Ministry is part of an Irish government?
Why are you as a Scottish Ministry improving relations with the British? Do the British not respect Scottish?
As an Irish government Ministry why do you want top open up a party in the UK? Did you not plan on importing Scots to Ireland?
I am not trolling. I just don't see what this has to do with an Irish Government.
It's always the same ol' fellas. Glad to see you're all so interested in eScotland. 🙂
Voted.
I wish we'd as much interest in Dublin as we have in Edinburgh, that's all :_;
No lie though, I support Scottish independence in RL, and I understand the goals that you guys are trying to achieve, but as Conway said, "I just don't see what this has to do with an Irish Government.", honestly I don't see the need for a whole ministry to be created for this goal
Voted
Personally i would prefer a complete separation of the eUK and have
eWales
eNorthern Ireland
eScotland and
eEngland

@Conway: We are working to better Irish-British relations by working closely with those in eUK to achieve goals that our community would like. I am completely loyal to eIreland, I am thankful that Ronisu created this Ministry to help legitimize our cause, and only such honorable people would let us do what we're doing now in their own country. Yes, we plan on some eUK citizens to come to eIreland but certainly not enough to fret.
@Bigmike727: The creation of this Ministry has helped --
legitimize our cause; helping the eBrits to take us seriously. A good portion of the population know the benefits to this Treaty and we should take this moment to better our relations.
I'm with you there, Dannyboy. We'll just have to wait til 2013 or so for eScotland at least.
Next month we'll be back to socialism
Scotland!
Oh f*ck off, you're a joke, your ministry's a joke and this was nothing more than Ronisu's way of buying your and your multis support.
Saor Alba,End Rule of london
@ChewChew: I do not have multis nor have I ever engaged in creating them. Thank you, come again.
Fair eneough MikeBane
I support independent eScotland, but this ministry is a joke. It's normal to have party and to do all those things you're doing now, but without ministry, I mean why ministry? Can I get Ministry of Relations with Croatia? That would improve our relations with them....
Bringing Brits here? That's the goal of this ministry...Come on Mike, you could find better goals...a lot better...this is just advertising. What will be with all your projects after this term?
i thought, you all like this role play BS? There are enough pointless ministries around so never mind one more.
If you want a ministry of RwC, so why don't you found one? In this case, it's not necessary anymore, half of eIreland (politically & militarily ) is run by "croatian bros" anyway 😛
of course when Irish went to Cyprus ;😉)
Anyways, you should be glad we're here, at least Ireland is stronger : D
In RL I support Scotland being part of GB, but I might support this ministry if there were some real benefits for eIreland. But as of yet I'm not sure that I understand what real benefits there are for eIreland. If eScots want to come to eIreland and for a sub community but be loyal to eIreland, than I'm all for that. Otherwise I'm not sure...
Reading the disparaging comments here has went some way to restoring my faith in humanity. o/
@MUFC: Did you see "bring Brits here" as a goal stated above? We asked for some to come over if they wished, but other than that the "Scottish Baby Boom" is stemming from me posting on independent Scottish forums to join eIreland and form a united Scottish community.
@Ian: We cannot know the full extent that eIreland/eUK will benefit. However, what we do know is that we are working hard on improving eIrish-eBrit relations which also will improve the chance of them keeping in-line with the --
Treaty. This Ministry could be considered a branch of the Foreign Affairs department however we act independently from them, so we were granted a "Ministry".
Please refrain from calling us a joke, though we accept constructive criticism. Insults do not help the argument against the Ministry.
I applaud the sentiment, but you got off to a bad start...
Its Scottish not Scotch !
@runningtings: I do prefer Scottish over Scotch, of course.
Well if you want to be more credible, you had better change it.
Constructive criticism please. I feel that it is important to recognize our Celtic brothers who have seen fit to seek refuge in our borders. There is great potential in this ministry. While the Treaty stands Scotland is apart of our great nation, and as such we should cultivate the community of the Scots that wish to reside in their homeland even while it is under Irish control. This is an area where game mechanics and RL cultural implications overlap.
He's right about the "Scotch" thing though....Scotch is whisk(e)y, eggs, mist.....but people are Scottish or Scots.
Scotch is also a term to describe Scottish people.. just saying. I was gonna go with Scots in the first place.
As for the disparaging comments..
Resistance is futile puny eIrish. 🙂
We could go for a Pan Celtic Union. Call both parties that to show the link between the 2. A bit like how Sinn Fein is called that in both Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland
Scotch is not a term for Scottish people, its a drink.
And even at that its called whisky.
just never gonna get function of this Ministry lol, anyway good luck with whatever you're trying to do
Thank you, Marinko 🙂
But remember, a lot of Scotland is Pictish.
Scotch is a term for Scottish people, in America at least. I prefer Scots myself.
The lively debate between ethnicity and alcoholic beverages is wonderful, but I ask my fellow e-countrymen not to be so hard on Mike for the confusion; He is afterall a plastic-Scot living in America. Good night all!
Aw. A plastic-Scot? The blood of a Scot is the blood of a Scot. Someone being proud of their ancestry, their heritage, and who they are is not fake nor 'plastic' ..
Nice try, though.
Gets a buzz every time
🙂 S'only part of the Irish culture these days.
Y'alright in my books Scotch (Scots?) and Irish 😁
We should have muffins, boxty some tea and irish cream some time!
plastic-scot? am i a plastic-celt than??
