[CP] The Second Week
Ronisu
eIreland,
Well, I have now been CP for 1 week. It has been a blast hearing from so many of you and I have learned a lot about what different people across eIreland believe and support. Even in the past week a lot has changed in eIreland and there is a lot of new stuff coming yet.
Firstly, I wanted to extend congratuations to eIreland has we now have 2 positions in the EDEN HQ. Ethel Rosenberg is now an Assistant Supreme Commander and I am now the Military Organizer. This means that eIrishpeople have a more active role in the political and military governance of our alliance.
On the topic of EDEN, we let the survey run into the weekend, but it is now closed, and here are the results:
And the "Other" Responses
As you can see, the clear majority of respondants felt that we should remain in EDEN. If there is still a desire to discuss the issue, the Government is still listening. I will begin a Congressional Discussion on these matters and move from there. The government will continue to operate as a Member of EDEN and would rather focus on bringing Irish Concerns to EDEN. If the alliance cannot meet a list of reasonable requests, then we can reexamine our place in EDEN.
We have resumed our Treaty borders with the eUK, but having heard some discontent I am moving to reopen the negotiations with the Irish Public and the Government of the eUK. I cannot promise a change in the current arrangement, but we'll see what we can work out. The Congress will also discuss this matter after we get more Feedback.
Speaking of Feedback, I will now start a practice called Feedback Articles, which will just include the topic and pertinent information. This will allow us to better collect multiple points of view and inform the government. I hope to do several of these per week. This will include regular polls and such.
Now on to some of the Ministries (Based on Reports):
Ministry of Defense: Our supply system is rocovering nicely and people have taken to the use of #eire.military. I have received 8 messages of support of the move, and the form is working nicely. DreadedEstate is now working between MoF and MoD to prepare supply usage statistics. In addition, we will be splitting the concepts of Defense Strategy and Defense Supply, so #eire.military will now be run by the Department of Logisitcs, which will be expanding this week. I will be releasing a separate article tonight on the Battle of Wexford 1725 and it's implications for policy.
Ministry of Finance: Sweet has been spending the term thusfar working on revamping the Financial System to cope with even more new challenges such as Airstrikes. DreadedEstate is working to prepare financial statistics for release, and this Administration is piecing together final plans for an Audit based on Feedback.
Ministry of Immigration: Rikian1776 is presenting his immigration plans to Congress in the next day or so, and hopes to have the system fully in place pending Congressional Approval. He also plans to release Immigration statistics for this last week soon.
Ministry of Community: Expect a new article soon, the turnout to the survey is good and we'll be releasing all the details to that soon. Damhnaic has been at work revitalizing the pages on the wiki as pertains to eIreland.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The MoFA paper will soon be releasing an article on recent and soon-to-be MPPs. This regular publication will serve as an open forum for public input on MPPs, but we will disregard all foreign input and trolling.
Ministry of Scottish Affairs: Continuing to work as addressed in last update.
President: Expect new articles soon and several over the week. This Administration now has it's feet on the ground, and after dodging the obstacles of starting a new Presidency, we are beginning to make sincere progress.
Thanks,
Ronisu
President of eIreland

Honestly Ronisu, out of all the Presidents I have seen I'd say your term is going very well. Not only do you command respect, but you also run a positive administration and get the job done professionally. It has been an honor working with your administration and I wish you luck for the rest of the term.

FEEDBACK: Organize an airstrike. You were given a golden oportunity to make the country more interesting.
Congrats Ethel, what is EDEN doing to organize its members for airstrikes?
nice article Ronisu! interesting thing about EDEN though. never knew that many people wanted to leave. :/
@Moo I would love to organize an airstrike, but even while donation campaigns have been pushed and such we just don't have the resources to fuel it. I personally have donated 25k IEP worth of resources into the Irish Airstrike pool.
I am bored. Truly truly bored.
Invade Sweden or something
TEDEN fags, glad im on vacation right now
Ron
What donation campains have been pushed? I have read no articles and no one has asked me to donate. The whole country is just arguing with itself over stupid stuff. We need leadership to turn all that energy into a fundraiser. Make raising the food and money fun:
--ICA verse Libertad who ever raises more picks who we attack
--Iboy wears a aviator of Krugans choice if anyone pledges half a million food
--Sell a seat in congress for a million
Plenty of other ideas to make raising the money fun. If your goverment needs help doing this ask. Lets turn all the BS in this country around and start to work together to have some fun.
On a private talk I really appreciated that you came to me to talk clearly. I liked your position and your humbleness. Dignify of a leader. Rule with respect. 🙂 Greets.
@Moo i appreciate your ideas, but most of those are out of the governments hands. There were articles when Airstrikes launched and Feed Campaigns, but all of it got us to 1% and 7% respectively. If my numbers are right, the needed amount for an Airstrike would fund our Supply Program for almost 4 months!
@Duarte Thanks, I am glad I could help.
It's hardly out of Government's hands to look into good ideas put forward.
I look forward to the reopening of the treaty arrangements.
Feedback: Organize an airstrike. You were given a golden oportunity to make the country more interesting.(x2)
Feedback: What donation campaigns have been pushed (x2)
Feedback: Why was a political party given a Ministry considering that the admins regard any articles it publishes regarding it's topic as spam?
Well your MoF released an article saying Ireland won't be able to do an airstrike? That's all I saw from the government on it.
There was a feed campaign, I did it at the same time MUFC was trying to coordinate one. Also, you are right, Sweet did state aristrikes are an impossibility. You do realize that is 4 months of supplies by historical data, all for a die roll on whether or not we don't get prioed out.
Feedback: Why was a political party given a Ministry considering that the admins regard any articles it publishes regarding it's topic as spam?
Because it is a good idea. I had the idea, not Mike, the idea was to cultivate a community for those Scots that had moved to Ireland since Scotland is in Irish hands. It is no different than things other countries have done in RL and in eRepublik. An additional goal was to cultivate relations with Scottish movements in the eUK to promote friendship and hopefully to diminish the frequency of Scottish RWs so that we could securely move on to other things....
...the idea had nothing to do with political parties, and I began to write down ideas on it before the start of the party. Now I did approach Andrews and MikeBane as they are fairly obvious picks to head-up such a movement. If Ethel and sawc had created a "We Love Talking to People Party" I still would have selected them as MoFAs. This has nothing to do with political parties and everything to do with a good idea.
You know the admins regard the Scottish topic within Irish media as spam?
Airstrikes are not an opportunity:
Spending huge amounts of money on a risky attack of a single region that we'd have no way of holding longterm and cannot provide us with resources is not a good investment.
The only reason an airstrike would be a tactically acceptable decision is if it was at the behest of our Alliance
Good feedback Ron, look forward to more articles soon
You've tried to be inclusive, which is progress. I don't hold you in any way responsible for the arguing trolling and nonsense, that happens every month irrespective.
I'd like to see MoI publish a list of all the CS approvals every month, and each congress member who approves it should say why. I know the info is already available, but I'd like to see more highlight on it, as it drives all of the voting power in this country.
Everything else rolls down from this.
Already planned Grainne, the MoI is also working on tracking country of origin and if people only stay for a certain length of time, as well as how many times they have requested CS in the past. It'll help us notice PTOs and such sooner, doesn't always stop it, but more public information is better.
"You know the admins regard the Scottish topic within Irish media as spam?"
Uhh, no. They deleted one article because you all reported it as spam and the admins have no brains (I think we all know that). They deleted one out of three articles. Good job. There will be an update next week, Ronisu. o7
Scottish RW's will always happen, people are looking for RW Medals.
Also your in talks with the UK about the Peace Treaty. It is this Peace Treaty or no Peace Treaty, means giving back Scotland. So Dublin or Scotland.
Pick wisely.
@Conway Things aren't a zero-sum game. I don't have some grand agenda here besides serving the people, which at this point means exploring all avenues of opportunity until we find a solution that appeases the majority. That could be status quo, perhaps it won't be. Perhaps it will be a new agreement that means more.
Thanks,
Ronisu

What would please the population would be having a United Ireland and Scotland. Whilst giving the UK nothing but our appreciation.
Sweet is right on the spending on Airstrikes... I think this is a foolish waste of resources.
