Japan Steps Down in Protest of the Sol Alliance
Nihon no Koe
As the Speaker of Congress and an Advisory Representative of Japan to the Sol Alliance, it is my responsibility to inform His Imperial Majesty and the Japanese people that as of Day 696 of the New World, the Great Japanese Empire is no longer a member nation in the Sol Alliance. Upon Most Noble President Oraizan's announcement to the Security Council, our nation has left the alliance in protest.
Following two acts of the Imperial Diet, one under Most Noble President Minamoto and one under Oraizan, the decision is at last final. Citing the alliance's unacceptable response to the Theocrat Question, as well as “Resolution [O0002]: Voiding O0001” which is a de-facto recognition of the Theocratic government in South Korea, “Resolution [M0009]: TNoSK requests observer status,” in which the Security Council granted observer nation status to the illegitimate government, and “Resolution [S0001]: Statement by the Security Council,” in which the Security Council refused to condemn the Theocratic system, our nation will no longer participate in the alliance's processes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is committed to retaining friendly relations with the nations of Sol, but the Diet has found the alliance itself to be counter to the Righteous Nation Philosophy. In providing an insufficient response to the Theocratic attack on Japanese soil, in granting the means to train Theocratic soldiers, and in recognizing the Theocratic government, the Imperial Diet of Japan has found the Sol Alliance has interests contrary to those of Japan. Our nation has therefore resigned from the alliance in protest.
Our nation may, one day, resume its activities in Sol. Should the alliance reform itself sufficiently. Until such a time, however, we will remain only an observer to their goings-on.

you can forge an alliance with me any day, reiji
Well put. Suggest we enshrine a copy of this message in the Kyushu Library~
I hope the leadership in Sol will correct the mistakes of their past. East and southeast Asian countries should be able to join an organization that shares their ideals of peace and stability, rejecting illegitimate regimes that act unilaterally and in a totalitarian manner through high taxation.
I stand behind the decisions of Presidents Minamoto and Oraizan, as well as the Imperial Diet, and the combined will of the people of Japan. The Sol Alliance said it stood for one thing, then turned it's back on its one founding principle. This is unacceptable, and Japan has responded appropriately.

You could always join Eden...
Seeing that SOL was not really part of the whole EDEN/Fortis vs. PEACE thing I don't see what that has to do with anything.
I completely agree with this move btw!
Hopefully the new Sol administrations can turn things around and reverse damaging conflicts that occured with Sol and eJapan.
Yay eJapanese diet!
What a shame that this has happened...
I believe this is a wise choice. I am disheartened that the S.Koreans still cannot call their land their own and it angers me to no end how the Theocrats have behaved. This is their true face and it would appear SoL approves of this. I hope that the Theocrats will leave your nations in peace and that eSK may one day return to the map.
It took a while of bureaucratic posturing to get here but im glad eJapan came on the side of justice.
It is indeed a shame that this has happened. But we in Congress debated the matter fully, and we made the correct decision. If the time comes when Sol is a viable regional alliance that shares at least a bit of our Righteous Nation mentality, then we can reconsider. Let us strengthen our relations with our neighbors; Sol just was not the correct venue for it.
let's cross our fingers and hope for the best!
That move might further complicate the reacquisition of South Korea's territories. If Japan plans on doing that someday, we will meet a diplomatic obstacle - Sol itself, willing to support one of its members. However, it was wisely noted that it is PEACE which in reality holds power. Again, on the other side, Sol's members are largely in PEACE so they will affect PEACE's decisions. All in all, this is a good ideological move but it brings little to no real benefit at all.
Good riddance. I disliked the City Party in former eNorth Korea, but the Theocrats are the lowest of the low. Sol could have used them as an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to the charter and instead it ended up helping them.
The real eKorea will come back someday!
"Righteous Nations" - HANG ON! Did you guys do a land-swap with eIndonesia, so they could wage WAR on the eUSA????
Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black here!
Certainly did do a land swap. There's been a change in government and a realignment of philosophy since then. Leaving Sol is a part of that.
I don't believe anyone is "calling" anyone anything with this action. Something happened within the alliance that we couldn't reconcile, we took action. I'm glad it's over, our government has plenty of other issues to focus on.
Indeed Keris, I eagerly await such a day 😃
This could turn it around for Sol
@CrowdedHouse
Not only did we land-swap to allow our ALLY to join in a PEACE-wide war against the eUSA, but almost every single article in the eUSA at the time said "Bring it on", if you will recall. Giving both sides what they want? I see no problem with that... Both sides wanted war, and both sides got war, and look at the world now; a much better place for it.
