I preferred pattons own posters from his previous campaign 😃
A green-eyed red-headed heroic Beta Gael in the Chair. Sounds good to me.
Two opponents, both fine men.
Appealing to many, and their time will come too.
Ní neart go cur le chéile.
There is no strength without unity ...
For Ireland!
I went more to the realistic in this campaign. I know I disappointed some females by doing it though .
congrats to the candidates, and the victor
Congratulation Mr President. Commiserations to Brian and Fionn, you made this a great election:
I just want to share some interesting facts about this election with everyone. The final vote stands as follows
Patton 179, Brian 106, Fionn 44.
Excluding last month and the election of Former President Aran Tal, which we would all agree was not a fair election due to the hacking of President Patton account (and I wish to make clear to any trolls out there that this does not reflect on former President Aran Tal legitimacy as President), this election has made some records.
1. The turnout is the largest for an eIreland Presidental Election at 329 votes cast. The previous record was the May2009 election with 310 votes cast.
2. The margin of victory, 73 votes, is the largest margin since the election of December 2008 Which 51 votes.
3. This is the first time in Ireland history where the top two candidates secured more that 100 votes each.
4. President Patton has the largest personal vote of any person to hold the job of president, at 179 votes. Excluding the vote for Former President Aran Tal who got 181 in Aug09 due to the circumstances of that election. The last record was former President Starks Hayter in July09 with 168 votes.
I think that we as a nation can be proud of the way this election has been fought and the size of the interest it generated.
I was very pleased with how well this went. For my first Presidential election, this was definitely a wonderful experience.
Well, done Brian and Fionn.
Congratulations, President Patton. 🙂
