The vast land spread beneath the Southern Cross. One nation, a continent in its own right. The only of its kind. From the eastern pristine waters of the radiant Great Barrier Reef over which dawn rises right through to the western cold, turgid expanse of the Indian Ocean over which the deep hue of dusk settles, lies the Great South Land.
The deep, dense rainforests of far north Queensland. The high, whitened peaks of the Snowy Mountains. The rolling red sands of the Kimberly. The flourishing vineyards of South Australia. The rocky, wave-battered monuments of the Great Australian Bight. A ruggedly magnificent land.
The lively bustle of attractive island retreats. The dusty, isolated outback settlements. The mountain villages of traditional European persuasion. The lonely, undisturbed highways. Towns standing aside immaculate white sands of southern beaches. The roaring action of Sydney's & Melbourne's four million, Brisbane's two million. An independent, prosperous population.
An eRepublik community.
Of over two thousand.
A real-life nation.
Of over over twenty million.
A huge source, nearly unending - of people keenly patriotic to their land, to Australia and to its independence. A large amount of which, who, if shown the opportunity, would be allured by eAustralia of eRepublik, whether it be for the political challenge, the game experience or the chance to stand up for the real-life community online.
We have an immense population at our fingertips - an online baby boom *just as possible* as every other e-nation here.
One well-placed online ad catapulted France to the top of the world's most populous nation list. They had a source, the RL nation, and they tapped into it.
We have a source. A RL nation. It is simply a matter of tapping in. Professionally, organizationally, with arranged procedure. A seemingly small bit of promotion, carefully positioned, can initiate a boom of epic proportions, heighten our population by leaps and bounds.
Structured. Researched. Planned. Disciplined.
This will be the The Australian Colonization Initiative.
The only difference between power and weakness in The New World is real-life innovation.
Innovation begins with ACI. Now.

loving it! *voted*
Good luck mate
Colonization is American spelling.
Oh hang on... we're former British wannabes, now American wannabes.
Seriously though... this is AWESOME.
I'm also here, defiantly that's a good thing.
If you like going Postal, of course.
Great to see good first response support!
This is merely an idea...a thought...if enough get behind this it'll be made official. Subsequently, it'll have real political, social weight.
From there...we certainly can make alot happen...
Be sure to check out the forum topic.

Well Done LR
I had wondered where you had gone. I think I missed the article saying you were leaving eIreland.
I believe the French babyboom is actually a Spanish babyboom. But, a great article, nonetheless.
nice work
@JohnGormley, hey John, if you missed it, you're the only one in Ireland that did. Where you on holidays perhaps?
It was a major scandal, concluding in a cabinet resignation and a presidential address on the matter.
I say this to you alone, as a fellow eIrish kinsman.
.
If you go to the previous article in Rhindons newspaper, there's plenty of muck-racking to be seen. I'll nor lower myself to repeat it.

@ e-Australians, forgive me for landing in your domestic press, but I have had a couple of PMs from your citizens, asking for some advice. I'm afraid I'm not in a position to help them directly, though I understand their pleas, and why they may have arrived at my e-doorstep.
.
I'd simply urge you all to get to know any newcomers, and do all you can to satisfy yourselves of their history and track-record. That's all.
I say this from e-personal experience only, having ben badly wounded and caught-out financially myself.
.
@Rhindon, I hope you have mended your ways and intend a fresh start. In my mind, we've still unfinished business.
Is that a tentacle drinking a glass of one of our fine, Australian table wines, Chateau de Chunder?
@Grainne: Yes I read it earlier and thought it was from 2-3 days ago and wondered how I missed it. But I've just looked at it again and realized that it was clearly 11 days ago when I was indeed on holidays in Scotland.
How many weeks is it since you promised me you'd answer my questions? Fine words as always ... do the Australian people know what ambitions lurk beneath these fine words?
Excellent! I'm certainly glad I came to live in eAus and have encouraged others to do the same. Voted and subscribed!
It's a very good initiative. I can't wait to see it in action.
Subscribed, voted and ready to help.
Yes CQL, I have a handful of individuals in eIreland who interpret my departure as a decision made from guilt, rather than disillusionment - which is what it was. I still love the country, and its people, and the many friends I have there - even those I have lost in the process, and even those who still choose to disparage me from another continent.
eAustralia is my real life homeland. I'm very familiar with our real life media, if nothing else! We can make this work. And we will.
Seriously though, all we'd need is one facebook ad targetting Australians saying eAustralia needs your help
I publish the eAustralia Skilled Jobs in overseas market second day!

I have facebook group with around 400 members of which 29 have joined eRepublik, 6 which have made it to over level 6 and another 5 that are currently on level 5.

I give them in game help each day, advice, support. I feel spending A$40 getting them over the lines is worthwhile investment for 5 gold.
That is a very excellent place to start, Paul Hamon.
Would love to see you involved with this, you'll bring alot to the table!
For the epic win!

"The only difference between power and weakness in The New World is real-life innovation".
Don't you mean population.
A great idea from an extremely questionable source, from what I hear this is a wanted man in eIRL, but hey this should be good for entertainment if he try's the same sort of crap here that he did in eIRL.
Anyone remember Icey ?
Watch this space, but keep your wallets closed, mark my words.
Gah, Grainne and Digits been PMing you Lews?
Contact the Irish Prime Minister. The Minister of Finance. Party Presidents. Anyone.
A scandal was very unfairly squared upon me - but people such as these will vouch for my integrity.
This I will continue to prove here.
"Gah," I have more to do than follow your world endeavours Rhindon, so please don't flatter yourself.
.
Many individuals (whom have not appeared on these comments) have PM'd ME actually, and asked for an opinion. I've told them all the same thing.
.
My personal experience with you began well, and ended horribly. No more detail shall I share. You are well aware of the issues still outstanding. Please, neither slander me, nor embarass yourself further with such statements.
.
E-Australians did not just float down The Murray Darling River in a bubble. They have access to public domain information as all citizens do. They can even see Presidential addresses. They can read, they can decide, they can decipher, they can choose.
I hope they will wisely.
I regret that I didn't.
.
BTW Lews is a respected solider, with world-wide recognition. You hardly expect he is a man for salacious or unfounded gossip, do you? Set your own ego aside, again, I beg you.
