[OPEN LETTER to eAustralia] Who am I?? What do I belong to?

2-3 month ago, an inspired new player joined a game. He knew almost nothing about this game, but was determined to have a new adventure, and create a name for himself, make some new friends along the way.
He was introduced onto IRC and got into the community. After learning the basics of the game as well as eAustralias' past, his resolution changed to one of helping out eAustralian community. Like the many others who wished to do so, he decided to run for Congress. Some tried to recruit him to their party, as they saw him as a great potential, other watched him warily, but he ignored it all and carried on with his dreams.
The question for him is which party to join, he didn't want to just an member of senate, he wanted to make his way in with a shine, and become a real deal with in the senate. With that in mind, he settled in the AIP with a warm welcome from Xavier Griffith, the then Party President. The appeal of AIP was none but the aspect of Independent, where no voting squads are used, no party lines are promoted, the only thing he needed, was his own ability to attract players to vote for him.
With that in mind as the sole reason he joined AIP, he was voted into congress by the people.
By this time, Xavi has decided to take a break from politics and the PP was transferred to Lancelot, who then in turn transferred it to StewartB, a new player, yet politically powerful. The player watched warily as StewartB joined AIP midway of his senate term from TBP.
He watched as StewartB declared his intentions to run for PP in the AIP. He watched as Stewart won unopposed, promising to bring activity and independence to the party.
~~~~ 2 weeks later~~~~
"Breaking News: AIP has doubled in its member strength and has gained a unprecedented 10 seats out of the 40 in eAus"
The player watched the ANN news with curiosity, many has told him that StewartB has organized voting squads, and has tried to turn AIP into a party. He refused to believe it.
He refused to believe it until it was too late. Because tonight, the player, srg91 has lost his only home in Australian Politics.
What made srg91say that?
StewartB wrote😮
n Election Day I will put a running Tally of our candidates Votes.
I also want to make a list of pledge votes we can use like other parties do to snipe in the last hour. Please message me if you will be around online in the last hour on election day and can help snipe.
StewartB - Snipe Vote
This is an extract taken from the AIP forums, because it is Australian Independent Party, There is no such thing as Private Party forum. There are no "secret" Party decisions. We are not a party, we are individuals.
StewartB, I hope your happy knowing you killed what I loved doing. I will not be re-running for the senate of eAustralia next term. I watched in silence as you took over AIP, I watched in silence as you recruited members, but I can not watch in silence for killing off the foundations of what AIP is about.
I am not here to tell you how to fix up this mess, I am here to tell you that you have ruined EVERYTHING I saw in AIP, and with that, Australian Politics.
Signed
Srg91
2 Term Senator
But more importantly,
a broken eCitizen
Well Done Srg.. It takes alot of courage to stand up.
@StewartB
You should be ashamed. XG worked hard to get AIP where it was today, and now your tearing it down all so you can have your own personal party?
If your that desperate to prove yourself, make your own party rather then destroying someone elses.
take a breathe
Wow wtf, please stay dude 🙁 your a great bloke 🙁
Wow.
:/
This week sucks!
"Keep the bastards honest."
Once again Srg you have displayed the merit that got you elected, don't let down those who voted for you.
Whether this issue proves to be a misunderstanding or not, the fact you are prepared to stand up to those within your own "Party" shows that you can be trusted in the congress.
Stick with it !
1. Xavier has been part of every discussion on AIP. It is still his party.
2. Yes Tally Room was run to communicate to people where the votes were at don't see anything wrong with that
3. I did pitch the idea of pledging votes and it was not supported by the members so it did not happen. Nothing wrong with pitching ideas in my books.
4. Pred if I wanted to take over the party I would not be supporting Xavier as the CP candidate now would I. I have a lot of respect for Xavier and as said before been talking to him alot it is his party not mine. If he asks for me to step down I will no problems at all.
@SRG - Sorry to see you go, you are very passionate and had a lot of respect for you.
Wow. Someone finally speaks up.. As an AIP, I would like to voice my concern over this as well.. I have seen voting squads done within the party this election which is against the party's beliefs. This has to be stopped before getting out of hand.
ah... SRG... my old friend...
you are sure gutsy. For a guy who is weird you are sure gutsy.
Good luck in your future endeavours.
You have my spiritual, political and financial banking, and i support you to the utmost.
A friend.
Bigman. 🙂
I might be out of the loop since I did not participate in the whole “snipe” business as I use my vote more carefully and also don’t think the AIP should be actively supporting any senators who do not have presentation.
But SRG91 I am sorry to see you leave the AIP, I hope you have not left the game though as I personally enjoy our little rebuttles that we have in the senate.
Thats where the comment was made.
hmm wasn't AIP the place where individuals could stand up and express their ideas? The AIP in its original form was great, where the PP would just act as an administrator; nothing more, nothing less. I sincerely hope you revert back to this form for the good of politics in this nation.
I had been asked to comment. It's not appropriate for me to do so. It's for AIP to sort out, not people in other parties.
Although I am StewartB's apprentice, I have to say Patti abd srg are both right. When I joined the AIP, I hoped to voice my personal views and beliefs about the country with a congress term. After I joined, a number of things happened. Stew got voted into PP and a HUGE reform happened inside the party. We had a huge increase of members which I found odd, we had lots of people helping each other over presentations which contradicted each other's views and a lot of shouts and messages to the public promoting AIP as a REAL party. SHouts which I found ridiculous, promoting each other's existance "Vote Vladimir Pejovic - AIP in QLD" "Vote AIP today, for a stronger eAustralia" "Vote AIP for a balanced country. Keep the others Honest. "
Sorry Stew, I know I'm your apprentice but I just wanted to voice my concern.
You cannot vote on a AIP as a Party..
Each Member has Individual Views and Ideals.
Evil Nut No Hard feelings you as an apprentice as MoC and you as a Party member two different roles and I welcome feedback on both. I am after human so can always improve so welcome critism, If I didn't I would not have run for PP. 🙂
I cannot really see the issue in other people helping other people.
you are all sounding very outraged that stewartb managed to attract more people to politics.
I was running as an AIP just days before the election and there was support for what I believed in. how is that a bad thing?
(PezCore)
Hmm well i'm keepin out of this.
Thank Pred but I've seen it all. I'm more than happy to talk to anybody in the party that wants to discuss the issue, but those in the AIP that are on the forums will see my response regarding the issue.
if you leave I will cry.
There's never a dull moment around srg91. That's what makes her such a good politician. Respect.
I am a he =.=
as you could see from the article
I used He alot of times =.=
Oh no!
Oh no!
Oh no!
Oh no!
OH YEAH!
Sorry.
That's really crap news. The AIP isn't a party, it just acts as a party! Which is a good thing...
Wow, one too many people take this game too seriously.
How incredibly sad...
I've read this through and have a lot of respect for the main players involved, esp srg91 and stewartb. @ the end of the day, we're all in control of what happens in here. If you don't like it, change it. But we're all going to be in a situation where someone more talented comes along and rolls us or does something we disagree with. If Stewartb has helped increase the strength of the AIP, then it shows he's talented politically. The question for us is, should we celebrate that and use it for the good of eAustralia or sacrifice him as a tall poppy in r/l aussie style? I geninuely hope you guys can resolve your differences b/c eaustralia needs both of you and every other talented people to work together so we don't get our collective butts kicked in what is quite a volatile and fast-moving game.
