Welcome to the summary of the senate elections
Australia has made its choice on the senators of the 3rd Australian election, with the results not overly surprising, although the addition of two extra parties has diversified the scene somewhat.

Analysis
The ADSP made good useage of their voters, with an effective voting strategy gaining them slightly more seats than their vote percentage indicates, whereas conversly the ANP wasted a lot of votes. The other parties vote percentage reflects the number of seats they secured quite well.
The number of votes the ADSP and AAA got was considerably less than their membership suggesting that both parties have quite a few inactive members. The ANP secured at least two public votes and the ACP and AIP got a minimum of 8 and 10 respectivly showing considerable public support. Note the no. of members was taken on the 27th of feb and the AIP had less members then so they secured quite a lot of public votes.
Overall the results of this election were fairly predictable with each party recieving about the amount of seats expected. The big question is will the ADSP and the ACP co-operate to gain a majority or will the other parties get a say and each issue be decided on a more induvidual level.
Comments
the AIP had about 8-10 members on election day, there has been an inflow since
good article black and well written. most of this is true especially the bit about a fair amount of inactive players the ADSP has 😛
Alright Arch made an edit to reflect that
Thanks for the endorsement Broad
The numbers here are misleading. As Br0adside said, the established parties have alot of inactives in their ranks. I'd guarantee that the ANP & ADSP (to a slightly lesser extent) got a large percentage of the public votes. My rough estimate is that the ANP got 39 public votes & the ADSP 37 public votes.
The AIP also had some public support & will be converting this into party membership better than the other parties.
The AAA ain't worth mentioning except in relation to the ACP. Contrary to your suggested figures, the ACP doesn't have any meaningful outside support. Unlike the ADSP & ANP, all ACP members are active as the party is just several days old. The extra 8 can be accounted for by a combination of Communists still in the AAA (after the Communists failed in their attempted takeover of the AAA just days prior) and acouple of radical Communists who've come into this game for political reasons & are not yet up to L5 to officially join the ACP.
The AAA still managed to get 2 seats so imo they are worth mentioning. Obviously the ADSP and ANP have the most public supporters for the time being but what I concluded from the figures is still true, the ADSP in particular have a lot of inactive members, obviously the ANP also have quite a few inactive members.
I think its funny how you suggest only radical communists come into this game for political reasons, it's a game about politics (and ecconomics) everyone is here for politics
I can tell you that I didn't come to this game for political reasons. If I wanted to play politics, I could easily do it in the real world. Quite frankly, anybody who comes into this game to play pretend politics for their radical political ideologies is a pathetic loser.
Why are you here then?
To amass a virtual fortune?
@ AW
Mate this is a game. Ppls reasons for playing are there own. Bagging ppl for having different reasons makes one an even bigger loser. Just for the record I didn't come for politics. I'm from Canberra, I get enough RL stuff from all the pollies who get exported here. Why would I want more?
Oh & also for the record I'm not a real Red.
